How do I install mods on a Mac?

I want to install a mod (specifically, Ravenhearst), but the mod launcher only works on Windows. Is it possible to install mods on Mac?

Uninstall 7dtd. Open Finder, from taskbar choose Go -> Home. Open Library -> Application Support -> Steam -> steamapps -> common. Delete 7 Days to Die folder. Reinstall 7 Days to Die.

Unzip downloaded mod. Open unzipped folder. You should see 4 folders: 7DaysToDie_Data, 7DaysToDieServer_Data, Data, and Mods. I will be referring to this as a “home screen”.

Open Steam. In your games Library, right-click 7 Days to Die and choose Properties from the drop-down menu. Choose the LOCAL FILES tab and choose BROWSE LOCAL FILES.

Copy & paste (do not drag-and-drop) the Mods folder to this location.

Open 7DaysToDie_Data -> Managed.

Right-click 7DaysToDie.app and choose Show Package Contents. Here you should see 2 folders: Contents and Data. This will be the other “home screen”.

Open Contents -> Resources -> Data -> Managed.

Copy & paste (do not drag-and-drop) the .dll files into this location. Mac OSX will ask if you want to keep both or replace. Choose replace.

Navigate back to each home screen.

Drag-and-drop the 7DaysToDie_Data, 7DaysToDieServer_Data, and Mods folders into this location.

Open the Data folders in each location. You will see there are Config, Prefabs, and UMATextures folders in each.

For each of these three folders, open up its corresponding folder so you can see the contents. Drag-and-drop the mod’s contents into its respective folder. For duplicate files, mac OSX will ask if you want to Skip, Stop, or Replace. Check the “Apply to All” checkbox, then choose Replace.

Увеличиваем нашу виртуальную память на ПК. И опять та же добротная стратегия «блицкриг» по комбинации Win+R и вводим в поле сие писание: SystemPropertiesAdvanced
Далее наблюдаем «Быстродействие», жмакаем на вкладку «Параметры». Видим вкладку «Визуальные эффекты», ставим галочку-галинку на «Обеспечить наилучшее быстродействие, следом ниже жмем «применить». Далее жмакаем на вкладку «Дополнительно» и в блоке «Виртуальная память» жмем кнопку «Изменить». Видим собственно говоря тома наших жестких дисков, если есть SSD то предпочтительно выбираем его для подкачки (должно быть свободное место). Щелкаем левой кнопкой мышки на переключатель «Указать размер:» и вводим в поле «Исходный размер:», цифры 16384мб, а так же в поле «Максимальный размер:» те же 16384мб — это максимально приемлемый объем, который вообще может использоваться виртуальной памятью, и в большинстве случаев больше половины висит в воздухе, но так и должно быть.

P.S: Значения ВЫШЕ приведены для людей с оперативной памятью 8гб и больше, ЕСЛИ ЖЕ У ВАС 4гб оперативной памяти ставим значения в обеих строках 8192мб.

На сегодняшнем банкете, опять же наш любимый гость в сочетании фрака и галстука! =)
Win+R и следом пишем в поле: sigverif
У вас вылезет окошко с проверкой, сложного ничего нету, просто жамкаем «Начать» и ждём пока все файлы пройдут проверку. Если найдёт неподписанные цифровым ключом файлы, из того же окошка смотрим путь и удаляем по данному пути эти файлы.

P.S: Это тоже немаловажный процесс, особенно для нелицензионной Windows, да и тот же «Античит» в игре может забраковать некоторые файлы, и вот вам на блюдце тут же и решение. =)

Для начала хочу сказать что поведение на разных системах соответственно разное, но всё же настройкой драйверов пренебрегать не стоит, ибо они могут конфликтовать с настройками игры. Опять же Панель Nvidia у вас или Radeon Software. Настраиваем всё на максимальную производительность, если это возможно. Но коли хотите настройками можно и побаловаться.
Так же далее настраиваем игру, опять же настройки, у меня стоят низкие, но интерес в том что с дальностью прорисовки и текстур в значении «средне» частота кадров почти не меняется, как и на высоких, +-3 ФПС. Но желательно начинать с низких)))
Параметры рендеринга 3D у Nvidia или тот же Antilag и морфологическая фильтрация у AMD по разному влияют на игры.
Настройка — дело личное, а иногда даже интересное и можно получить желаемую частоту кадров =)

P.S: Игра грузит всё и вся, не важно будь то старая HD 7870 или та что новее и лучше GTX 1660. Ryzen или I7, всё будет нагружаться в меру, оптимизация в игре «хромает» НА ВСЮ НОГУ!? Ту что одна у того ползучего осталась, хех. Но что уж поделать если есть желание играть — подстраивайтесь.

В игре есть несколько интересных команд, которые кому-то ОЧЕНЬ помогут, а кому-то непосредственно ках. кхх. кхм, не дадут НИЧЕГО.
Первая же условная команда для рендера, которая лично мне дает +15 ФПСа, просто ничего не теряя.
Вводить непосредственно в процессе игры:
Жмём F1 и в консоли набираем: «gfx pp ssr 0» и нажимаем Enter.
Далее опять же две консольные команды на чистку памяти
Жмём ту же F1 и набираем: «mem», применяем, следом «memcl», где mem — личная, а memcl — клиентская (не злоупотребляем).

По возможности или желанию напиливаем в систему оптимайзеры, CCleaner к примеру для чистки памяти, Game Booster или аналогичное ПО, дабы ускориться методом отключения ненужных процессов и отладки ПЛАНА ЭЛЕКТРОПИТАНИЯ(не маловажная вещь). Ведь не будете же сами лазать да шарить в папках, чтобы отключить всё что не нужно.
Собственно и всё, махинации простые, авось кому и нужно будет немного заморочиться. Но таким образом на своем стареньком ЖЕЛЕзе получил стабильные 50-60 кадров с минимальными просадками и в добавок разрешение то Full HD, если у вас меньше то и само собой идти будет лучше.

В принципе на этом можно и закругляться, я не знаю каким образом игра так диииико грузит оперативную, и походу тот же директ мучается ибо звук после часов так 6-8 игры становился невыносимый и глючный того же выстрела с задержкой как звука так и изображения, пока не предпринял ребуты игры каждые 4-6 часов и не нарыл всё то что описал в статье. Играл с интересными вроде бы и 30-40 фпс на просторах и маленьких домах, но дальше то и дома разрастаются. Уже и фризы если честно были мне по барабану, но когда первую кровавую стояли на застроенной базе и у меня просто отвисал ПК, говорил на тебе твой поек в 5-10 ФПС (Нас было трое, и волна стояла на человека по 16 =)), тогда мне как то не зашла волна. Да и даже когда сам стоял, в кровавую на 8-12 зомби выседало до 15-20. Теперь же стабильно в районе 40-50, мониторю сейчас и пишу одновременно.
