Illustrator CC Installer for Linux

This bash script helps you to install Adobe Illustrator CC on your Linux distro easily. It will download a free version of Illustrator and tries to run it using wine installed on your system

• illustrator command
• desktop entry
• wine dark mode
• supports graphic cards like ( intel , Nvidia )
• saves the downloaded files in your cache directory
• It’s free and you will not need any license key
• works on any Linux distribution

1- use a 64bit edition of your distro

2-make sure the following packages are already installed on your Linux distro

if they are not already installed you can install them using your package manager for example in arch Linux

3- make sure you have enough storage in your /home partition about 2 GiB

400 MiB will be free after installation

also you can install illustrator in diffrent directory

4- make sure you have an internet connection and about 400 Mib traffic to download illustrator

the installer scripts use a virtual drive of wine and makes a new winprefix for illustrator

first of all, you need to clone the repository with this command:

then you can easily run setup.sh script to install illustrator cc on your Linux distro

you can use -d to specify the installation path, and -c for the cache directory. for example:

when no options are given, the installer script will use the default path, the uninstaller script and others will detect your custom path so there is no problem, I recommend using the -d option and having the default cache directoy

if you need to configure the wineprefix of illustrator you can use winecfg.sh script just run the command below

to uninstall illustrator you can use the uninstaller script with commands below

Description

Vector graphics editor, 2012. Wikipedia.
This script is a modification of the Adobe Photoshop CS6 script. It works with Illustrator CS6. No tested with CC.

NOTE (2014): This application does NOT work on Intel graphics (at least not that I have seen). Nvidia and AMD graphics should be used.

I am trying to install illustrator from the Adobe package ‘Design Standard’ (which includes Acrobat and Photoshop etc.)

I managed to do this and activate the program OK on a machine running LinuxMint19.2. However on a new Dell Inspiron 3881 running LinuxMint 20.1 Ulyssa, Illustrator installs and runs OK, but it cannot access the internet to get activated (so it will only run for 7 days!). I have put what seems to be the relevant ‘errors’ part the Playonlinux debugger logfile here:

Hello everybody. I trid to install the Illustrator program CS6 16.2.0. The installation proceeds regularly and the program works. However, once I restart the computer the application no longer starts in any way. I have tried other versions of CS6 but I always have the usual problem. I tried the modified script but it doesn’t work. My configuration is Linux Mint 19.3, Lenovo Miix 510 computer, PlayOnLinux ver. 4.3.4. Thanks for your help

Hi everyone! I’m having a minor issue with this one. When I press Esc the program crashes, no matter where.

Like I said, it’s not that terrible, but you may notice that it can be annoying.

Everything else works aparently well.

• Tested several downloads of AI CS6, even portable versions (all x86, can’t run on x64).
• Tested on two Ubuntu 18.04 Gnome amd64 desktops, one with ATI and one with NVIDIA graphics.
• Tested several versions of Wine.
• Tested adding some additional packages, but.

I see that I have lots of errors on my log but i’m a bit confused about where to start.

Does anybody knows about this?

I’m really trying to stick to FOSS, but I’m not really comfortable with Inkscape.

Any help would be really apreciated, thanks for the job.

Step 3:-

Double Click on Setup

Double Click on the setup.exe file

After clicking on Install, you will get the screen like this as shown below; you need to select the file path you need to go the following path.

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat Illustrator CC 2018\support files\contents\windows

Select the amtilb.dll file and click open

Adobe Illustrator CC 2015

Необходимо иметь на рабочем месте Illustrator. Установил в соответствии с этой инструкцией. Запускается, работает. Но в окне программы многие элементы сильно искажены, изза чего работать с ними, да и с программой вообще невозможно. Тот PS CC 15, установленный в эту же wine-оболочку работает без проблем.

Вот так выглядит окно программы после запуска. В верхней панели я специально навел указатель на 1 из кнопок, чтобы она исказилась. Эти кнопки всегда искажаются при наведение. http://i84.fastpic.ru/big/2016/0902/9f/86bd87ba235553a4d9577692198a4a9f.png

Вот что происходит при открытие какого нибудь файла. Основная панель инструментов и холст искажены(наклонены и растянуты под -45*). При этом в правой панели кнопки работают как положено и не искажаются вообще. В консоли при работе программы вываливается куча fixme, характерных для wine и следующие ошибки:

Пробовал в разных windows версиях запускать — от XP, до 10 — везде такое поведение.

И последнее. При закрытие программы она как бы закрывается, но в лог вываливается backtrace, будто она упала. Ссылка на лог прилагается, но я его игнорил, т.к. искажения проявляются задолго до падения, да и падение вызывается определенным действием не связанным с интерфейсом.
