[Fixed] OS X Yosemite/El Capitan/OS Sierra audio fixed (worked for me)

Hi everybody

I have installed OS X Yosemite (UniBeast 5.0.1 — Fresh install) Everything worked fine, just sound didn’t work. It took me a while to find the right solution.

My Hardware:
Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H & GA-H77N-WIFI Socket 1155 VGA DVI HDMI 7.1 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard
Intel Core i5-3570K CPU
Corsair 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz Low Profile Vengeance Memory
SAPPHIRE Vapor-X 100283VXL Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16
Samsung 840 Pro 2.5″ 256GB SATA III Solid State Drive

The only problem I had was no sound after sleep.

No sound after sleep Fix: (This should work in Mac OS X El Capitan & Mac OS Sierra)

Run MultiBeast — Mavericks 6.1.0 or 6.2.1 (I was told version 6.3.1 & 6.5.1 works as well, but I have’t tested these versions)
Select (in my case)
Drivers > Realtec ALCxxx > Without DSDT > ALC887/888b Current v100302
(Select your audio codes and it should work)

Restart and now audio works, even audio after sleep works.
If it doesn’t work, open sound preferences & check if the right device for sound output is selected.

If you can’t get onboard audio to work, try «Audio Sound Card Adapter» works OOB and the sound is good. This is the best & quickest option for you

10.7.4 AppleHDA.kext available in MultiBeast 4.6.0 and newer
Select 888_v100202 or 888_v100302

The ALC888 edited Lion AppleHDA.kext is available for Lion 10.7.2/.3 and motherboards with the Realtek ALC888 audio codec . Supports most Lion analog and digital audio capabilities. Users interested in capabilities beyond standard on board audio should consider this option for HDMi audio (discrete and HD3000 integrated), front panel audio and more. This kext supports two layout ids: layout_id 888 for full 888 analog audio on any 888 motherboard with or without discrete graphics card HDMI audio (Note 1) and layout_id 388 for 888 analog audio on a 888 Sandy Bridge motherboard with HD3000 HDMI audio (Note 2)

Verify the audio codec device_id for compatibility rather the product name (Note 4). For example, the ALC1200 is actually the ALC888

If no DSDT or no DSDT/HDEF, select both 1 and 2. If DSDT installed, skip Step 2
2. Select: Drivers & Bootloaders/Kexts & Enablers/Audio/Realtek ALC8xx/Non-DSDT HDAEnabler/ALC888
3. Always select: System Utilities

Installation Notes
1. Backup S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext before System Update
2. If a Patched AppleHDA selected, do not Select ALC8xxHDA or AppleHDA Rollback.

Desktop/Realtek ALC codecs: 885, 887, 888, 889, 892, 898, 1150, 1200 and 1220 on board audio with layouts 1, 2 or 3 and NUC/BRIX codecs: 269/layout 10 and 283/layout 1 only.

Supports all macOS/OS X versions: 10.14, 10.13, 10.12, 10.11, 10.10 and 10.9.

Enables macOS Realtek ALC on board audio for Intel desktop/workstation motherboards.

I. Before You Install Audio — Verify HDEF, identify codec, set Audio ID, disable SIP, mount EFI
