Seeing all the latest drivers and updates I am having trouble which one is the latest driver my laptop can run without any problems.

My laptop specs :

Proc: AMD A10 5750M 2.5GHz

VGA: AMD Radeon HD 8650G + HD 8670M (Crossfire Activated)

RAM: 2x 4GB DDR3L

OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit

If you go to the latest win 10 — 64 bit driver page, you will see this note with a link to the drivers to use. Since you are using an APU + hd graphics, you should probably use 16.3.2. I don’t know why APU users are forced to use a later driver.

AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition Hotfix drivers are compatible with AMD Discrete graphics products.

If you have one of the following APU products please use Radeon Software Crimson Edition 15.12

For all other APU products please use AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.3.2.

Just opened an account to make this complain. I have been a AMD user over more than 10 years but i am done! I have a good graphic card as you can see on my notebook, atm i am over making it work as dual graphic cards with latest firmware because HD 8650G is legacy and not supported anymore, even this notebook two years old, i can’t even make HD 8970 work as a dedicated graphic card. I formatted my notebook, installed latest crimson firmware, it warned me about not supporting HD 8650G, i said w/e i can use only 8970M but after the setup complete, i restarted my notebook and Radeon says »No AMD graphics installed, or the AMD driver is not working properly. Please install the AMD driver apprpriate for your AMD hardware’. I removed HD 8950G at device manager but it keeps coming back, i disabled it but it keeps getting active again, i uninstalled the driver couple of time and installed again but same error still keeps coming back. Thank you for condemn me to old catalyst and driver, very nice of you.

Try this, it might work and allow you to use the latest drivers for both your legacy integrated graphics card and your GCN graphics card.

Remove all AMD drivers from your system
Download and Install Crimson 16.2.1 Beta
Restart
Download and Install Crimson 16.2.1
Restart and test

Just as a point of reference. computers are being sold today with Windows XP installed. How old the computer is, is no longer a guarantee that the hardware/software is modern/current.

I have same problem, I wont buy AMD never again, this is too much.

The only problem I see here is people buying laptops for computer gaming and expecting them to run and operate just like desktops. That is an entirely unreasonable expectation, and is akin to hammering a square peg into a round hole. Anyone who tells you otherwise is fibbing to you. Laptops, from the cpu out to every component on the mboard, are custom-designed by the manufacturer and have one single primary goal: power conservation for extended battery life. Every component in a laptop, including the GPU, is designed for power conservation. Desktops are built/engineered around an entirely different dynamic. Desktops don’t have batteries and don’t need to conserve power because of any need to extend battery life, and as a result desktop computer components are always more robust and powerful than similar components found in laptops (especially be warned about laptop GPU model numbers that are the same as their discrete cousins—because they are *not* the same at all.) Desktop components are also manufactured to *industry standards* (which is why you can take a discrete AMD or nVidia GPU and plug it into a PCIe slot in a motherboard made by MSI or Asus and it will work ROOB and it will take a common set of Windows drivers.)

That’s not how it works with a laptop—never has and never will. Laptops are custom creatures and very often the *only* drivers you can use with them are available *only* from the laptop manufacturer—regardless of what company makes the GPU. Caveat Emptor. Unless you enjoy games, really, a laptop is fine for most other purposes. But never, ever buy a laptop expecting that it will be superior to a desktop for gaming —because it won’t be. You don’t have to take my word for it—visit game forums—8/9 out of every 10 problems have something to do with a laptop—and that’s precisely why. I don’t care if the marketing for a given laptop says that it’s the best computer ever made for gaming—it won’t be. If it’s a laptop it will be inferior to a desktop for the purposes of gaming .

Best advice: build your own desktop for gaming—use your laptop for portable needs and very light, non-stressful (on the hardware) gaming. A laptop blows a desktop away when it comes to portability—but that is *all* that a laptop does better. 😉

This will likely fall on deaf ears, but, hey, I do what I can. 😉

Добрый день! Мб, кто-то знает, где взять драйвер на AMD Radeon HD 8650G + HD 8670M Dual Graphics и корректно установить на ноутбук? А то стает или криво, или никак

Свежак урааа . Решено с офф амд . , 10 часов читал , решал, тэстил.
Лап тот же что и сверху , решение подходит для любых карт установленных с этим дуал чипом , которые потеряли поддержку HP/MSI/Lenovo.

Windows UPDATE -Должен быть ВЫКЛЮЧЕН и в последующем тоже иначе сразу же перезапишет дрова на старые/виндовские .
Любой Windows SP также снесёт всё на виндовские дрова

Всё делаем с режима админа.

0. Если установлены были дрова , используем . DDU — DriverDeleteUtility . , я ставил 12.12.2019 на новую вин 10 сборка 18363.449 с виндовскими дровами , поэтому сразу начал с первого пункта.

1. Скачать с оффициального сайта драйвера как для graphics (8670M)-19.12.2 так и processors with graphics (A10-5750 HD 8650G) — 16.2.1

Note 1: Извлечь инсталлер в C:\AMD папку, и после экстракта отменить инсталляцию

Note 2: Любые галки типа «check for latest driver» должны быть сняты.
Note 3: Через диспетчер устройств > вручную обновить драйвер, установить 18.4.1 adrenalin driver для HD9870M. — драйвер качаем в зависимости от карты у меня 19.12.2 на HD8670M.

Note 3: Это также установит 18.4.1 adrenalin драйвер для A10-5750M, что временно нарушит работу чипсэта для двойной графики но это поправим в следующем шаге.

2. Начинаем инсталляцию пакета 16.2.1 crimson driver запуская его с привычного скаченного файла.

Note 1: Следим за тем что бы никаких «check for latest driver» (у меня 2 раза попались на этом шагу)

3. Ключевой шаг. В процессе установки где будет список галок, убрать галку «AMD Radeon Settings». Это не даст 16.2.1 переустановить уже установленный драйвер на вашу HD9870M, драйвер на которую поставили уже в пункте 1.

4. Если нужен каталист то снова после перезагрузки запускаете 16.2.1 и отмечаете ТОЛЬКО «AMD Radeon Settings» и никаких «check for latest driver», рестарт и вуаля !

5. Открываем «device manager» проверяем как *показывает карты, теперь у каждой карты свой драйвер. Идём удаляем папку C:\AMD или в бэкап.

*P.S в моём случае 8670М немного не корректно показывает как 8600М серии — но это мелочь. ФПС и правильные режимы работы без перегревов всё .

Жаль вас расстраивать, но работать драйвер у вас будет 16.2.1, то что надпись о другой версии в «Диспетчере» — это просто надпись, всего лишь строчка текста в реестре оставшаяся от установки нового драйвера — не более того.

Вот панелька Crimson/Adrenalin может работать и более новая, но положительного толку от этого — ноль, а некорректно работать — это запросто.

Панелька (Settings) — это панелька, драйвер — это драйвер. Отключение установки панельки не даст заменить панельку, но не драйвер.

Непонятно, что тут особо непонятного: имена файлов, как и пути параметров в реестре в драйверах до 16.2.1 и после — одинаковы, один драйвер по любому заменяет другой. Не может в одной системе одновременно работать две версии драйвера режима ядра atikmdag.sys.

С одной стороны, владельцам переключаемой, либо двойной графики из связки разных поколений чипов AMD (GCN и старой VLIW) — не повезло, они ограничены последней VLIW-совместимой версией 16.2.1. А с другой, единственно, что они теряют — поддержка Vulkan, единственная польза которого — работа «Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus». Нет ещё «в принципе» Vulkan полезен в эмуляторах приставок, но что-то мне подсказывает, что ноуты с переключаемой графикой слишком слабы для нормальной эмуляции, даже будь там его поддержка.

Улучшения производительности в новых драйверах на сколь-нибудь не новых чипах — нет, только увеличение прожорливости. Так что, в каком-то смысле вам повезло, можете не тратить время на тестирование багов новых версий.

Доброе время суток, у меня возникла проблема с драйверами к такому же дуалу, только у меня Asus r510d проблема появилась не очень давно, стал сильно перегреваться ноут и выключаться пробовал разные способа установки и драйверов но все четно, прикладую скрины при установке, все дрова качал с оф амд сайта, может кто знает как мне можно помочь с этим?

поскольку тут нет возможности добавить фото могу скинуть в приват ссылки на скрины которые сохранены на гугл драйве
