Hey guys, since Windows 10 came out I have been trying to upgrade, but every time I do, my graphics keep creeping out, when I download the drivers using Windows Update (as per HP Support page) it recognizes it as being a complete different model and video still doesn’t work well, I tried the drivers from AMD and they also show the same thing.
I contacted AMD and they told me I have to get in touch with the manufacturer, because the drivers might have been changed by them to accomodate the video card.

The problem you’re up against is that the Pavilion DV6s simply have no Win10 drivers, as HP is not making Win10 drivers for the older Wint laptops.
If you enter the specific model number, I can check for drivers — but I suspect the result will be the same.
Additionally, many of the old DV6s came with switchable graphics. You could tell this in Win7 by looking in Device Manager and seeing if there were two different devices under Display Adapters — one being Intel and the other being AMD or Nvidia.
With switchable graphics, the only working drivers come from the OEMs that make the machines, because the hardware is customized, so to have to be the drivers. MS does not supply these drivers.
So, without HP Win10 drivers for your PC, you’re stuck with only two outcomes:
1) Keep Win10 and struggle with the graphics problem
2) Return your PC to the original OS.
I chose the second because I prefer a PC with an older OS where everything worked, to a PC with a new OS, where some things do not work.
