Новости об отсутствии поддержки материнскими платами на AM4 на чипсете B450 процессоров Zen 3 испугали меня довольно сильно, но, к счастью, в компании AMD довольно быстро одумались и успокоили общественность, заявив, что поддержка будет. Я тоже успокоился и бегло почитав обзоры Zen 3, поздравил себя с удачным выбором платформы и стал ждать, пока рынок наполнится новыми процессорами, а цены «устаканятся».

И вот, цены потихоньку «устаканиваются», AMD наращивает поставки Ryzen 5000, а я, более вдумчиво читая обзоры Zen 3, пришел к выводу, что с Ryzen 5 1600 мне придется опять переходить в синий лагерь, на платформу LGA 1200. И сейчас я постараюсь подробно объяснить вам причины, подробно разобрав недостатки Zen 3 и моей конкретной ситуацией с платой на B450 чипсете.

Zen 3 — очень горячие процессоры

Старые мемы про нагрев AMD снова актуальны

Zen 3 получились чрезвычайно горячими, даже на фоне горячих Zen 2. Читая обзоры Ryzen 7 5800X, постоянно видишь пугающие цифры в 90 градусов, которые получаются на не самых дешевых системах водяного охлаждения. AMD не просто так теперь не кладет кулер в боксовые версии процессоров, ведь с ним явно не справится Wraith Prism RGB, штатный кулер от Ryzen 7 3800X (хотя в стресс тестах он не справлялся и с ним).

Виной всему чиплетная компоновка и тонкий 7-нм техпроцесс, из-за которых площадь ядра процессора стала настолько мала, что отвести с нее тепло становится чрезвычайно сложно. Дорогой кулер на теплотрубках поможет лишь отчасти, ведь проблема именно в плотности теплового потока, а не в его мощности. Поэтому Ryzen 7 5800X просто требует неплохого водяного охлаждения, такого как DeepCool GamerStorm Castle 240EX.

Но ведь вы понимаете, что «водянка» — это дополнительная сумма к весьма недешевому процессору, требования к корпусу и т.д.

Есть второй вариант — «душить» процессор, снижая напряжение или делать «фикс», фиксируя частоту по всем ядрам. Но без потери производительности архитектура Zen 3, как и Zen 2, не даст скинуть слишком много напряжения, а терять производительность довольно дорогого процессора, за которую заплачены деньги — не самый лучший способ бороться с его нагревом.

Процессоры Ryzen 5000 слишком дороги

Стоило процессорам AMD догнать продукцию Intel в игровой производительности, как ситуация с ценами перевернулась с ног на голову и теперь понятно, что никаких «корпораций добра» никогда не было, а был лишь демпинг цен, как средство захвата рынка технически отстающими продуктами.

Одна из самых низких цен на Ryzen 7 5800X на российском рынке — в Регарде, в составе готовых сборок, где он стоит сейчас 36160 рублей.

А популярный восьмиядерник от Intel, Core i7-10700KF, стоит всего лишь 28600 рублей. Разница в цене составляет весомый 21%, но есть ли между этими процессорами такая разница в игровой производительности?

А Core i7-10700F без возможности разгона стоит и вовсе 23200 рублей. Что уже даже дешевле, чем Ryzen 7 3700X.

Пользователи пишут про проблемы с Zen 3

Ryzen 5000 — это не те процессоры, которые можно «поставить и забыть», ведь они требуют постоянного контроля температуры. Максимально допустимая температура, заявленная AMD, составляет всего лишь 95 градусов, а достичь 90 можно не самым жестким стресс-тестом. В сети появлялась новость о высоком проценте брака процессоров Ryzen 5000, и хотя ее потом опровергали, оправдывая это проблемами конкретного поставщика — звоночек неприятный.

И на нашей конференции пользователи пишут о разных проблемах с Ryzen 5000 — от аппаратных ошибках WHEA в Windows 10, до даже полного выхода из строя процессоров.

Учитывая небольшое количество процессоров на руках форумчан, количество проблем пугает.

Материнские платы на чипсете B450 не лучший выбор под Ryzen 5000

Теперь можно перейти к моему частному случаю, а конкретно, к материнской плате MSI B450-A PRO MAX. Работать с Ryzen 7 5800X она конечно будет, но я ожидал от Zen 3 меньшего энергопотребления, чем у Zen 2, а по факту оно осталось на прежнем уровне. Но дело не только в цепях питания, которые будут работать с заметным нагревом, но и в том, что материнские платы на чипсете B550 обычно имеют больше фаз питания, что позволяет сгладить скачки напряжения питания процессора, что важно для Zen 3.

Четыре фазы на процессор — маловато

Что касается новых технологий, то Smart Access Memory, как выяснилось, будет работать на платах с чипсетом B450, а вот поддержка PCIe 4.0 на мою плату так и не пришла, хотя на некоторых платах B450 для нее достаточно было обновить BIOS.

MSI B450-A PRO MAX поддерживает процессоры Zen 3 и с 12-ю, и даже с 16-ю ядрами, но главный вопрос — на какой частоте они смогут работать на ней. И если бы я выбирал материнскую плату сейчас, то взял бы как минимум ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS с 6-фазной системой питания, выполненной по схеме (4*2)+(2).

Восьмиядерники на платформе Intel LGA 1200 холоднее и проще в эксплуатации

Глядя на надежный сокет LGA 1200, вспоминаешь, что AMD до сих пор не решило проблему снятия прикипевшей системы охлаждения с AM4

Парадоксально, но Core i7-10700KF, гораздо более прожорливый, чем Ryzen 7 5800X, при задействовании AVX-инструкций, охладить гораздо проще, за счет площади ядра, которое гораздо больше за счет использования старого технологического процесса 14 нм и которое является монолитным.

Ну а в целом платформа Intel LGA 1200 мало изменилась со времен процессоров Skylake LGA 1151 и требует гораздо меньше внимания от пользователя, что лучше подходит обычному геймеру, который хочет поставить процессор и забыть про него. И никаких скачков температур, ошибок WHEA и прочих проблем AMD.

Неутешительные итоги

Вышеописанные причины делают Ryzen 7 5800X мало подходящим для долговременного апгрейда с Ryzen 5 1600. Почему я не упомянул в блоге Ryzen 5 5600X? Я считаю апгрейд с шести ядер на шесть, даже гораздо более быстрых, нецелесообразным. Плюс Ryzen 5 5600X имеет проблемы с нагревом, как у старших братьев, пусть не так сильно выраженные.

Конечно, можно сделать апгрейд на Ryzen 7 3700X, но здесь будет уже не такая заметная разница в производительности на ядро с Ryzen 5 1600, что сведет эффект от апгрейда на «нет». Поэтому я все более склоняюсь к платформе LGA 1200 и простому Core i7-10700F без разгона, которые очень быстро дешевеют, и для охлаждения которого вполне хватит моего Zalman CNPS10X Performa.
