Шаг 1: Загрузка и установка программы.

Загрузите AudioConverter Studio на свой компьютер и запустите файл. Следуйте инструкциям мастера для установки аудио-конвертера.

Шаг 2: Запуск программы. Выбор файлов APE.

Запустите AudioConverter Studio. Появится окно мастера («Волшебника»):

Если вы не видите этого окна, нажмите Ctrl + W на клавиатуре или выберите «Файл» — «Показать Волшебника».

На первом шаге мастера выберите опцию «Сконвертировать одиночный или группу файлов. » (1) и нажмите «Далее».

Всплывет обычный диалог открытия файлов.

Откройте папку, где хранятся ваши файлы APE, выберите нужные файлы (либо мышкой, либо нажав Ctrl + A для выбора всех файлов) и кликните «Открыть».

Выбранные файлы будут добавлены в список:

Вы можете добавить больше файлов и папок, используя кнопки в верхней части окна. Также можно удалить уже добавленные файлы из списка, выбрав их и кликнув на кнопке с желтым минусом в правом верхнем углу.

Но в большинстве случаев вы просто кликнете «Далее».

Шаг 3: Выбор папки для конвертированных файлов.

На следующем шаге выбирается папка для будущих файлов FLAC.

Вы можете использовать ту же папку, где хранятся исходные файлы (APE). Также можно выбрать любую другую папку вашего компьютера (1). У вас должны быть необходимые привилегии для создания файлов в выбранной папке, иначе программа не сможет сохранить конвертированные файлы.

Вторая опция на этом шаге позволяет переименовывать и сортировать конвертированные файлы, используя информацию из тегов исходных файлов (2). Если теги ваших файлов APE пусты, или если вы не знаете, что выбрать, просто используйте вариант

Кликните «Далее», чтобы продолжить.

Шаг 4: Выбор FLAC в качестве целевого формата.

На следующем шаге выберите «FLAC» из выпадающего списка «Выходной формат»:

Больше ничего здесь изменять не требуется. Если вы включите «Режим преконверсии», программа будет конвертировать только несколько секунд каждой песни.

Шаг 5: Преобразование APE во FLAC.

На последнем шаге мастера будет показана сводка:

Здесь перечисляются выбранные файлы, указаны целевой формат, выбранные целевая папка и формат имен файлов. Если всё правильно, нажмите «Закончить», чтобы конвертировать APE в FLAC.

AudioConverter Studio покажет окно с индикатором прогресса. В зависимости от числа файлов, процесс преобразования может занять какое-то время. Затем программа покажет сообщение:

Steps on how to convert APE to FLAC:

1. Add the media files to convert.

The first step is to select media files to convert. Run Audio Transcoder and use Folder Explorer to browse files you want to convert. Then select a file in the File List, drag it to the Drop Zone and drop it there. Optionally, APE Converter allows you to edit tags of any selected file in Drop Zone.

Once files are selected, the next step is to select the output settings in Converter.

2. Select the output settings.

The second step is to select an output settings. To begin, select a folder for output and choose an action to be executed if an output files already exists (create a new file, overwrite or skip existing file).

Finally, you should select the output format and sound quality. In FLAC dialog box, choose format settings for the final tracks. You can choose what sample rate you want to use. 44.1 kHz (or 44100 Hz) is a sample rate used by music CDs. Less than that and you’ll start to hear the loss in quality. Once output settings are customized, you can go to the final step — transcoding.

3. Start to convert any audio files to .flac

Click Convert button to start to transcode music into any audio format you desired. A conversion dialog will appear to show the progress of data conversion. If you want to stop process, please click Stop button. After conversion, you can click an Output Folder button to get transcoded files and transfer to your iPod, iPad, iPhone, media player or hard driver.

Q: What is APE ?

A: Monkey’s Audio is an algorithm and file format for lossless audio data compression. Monkey’s Audio does not discard data during the process of encoding, unlike lossy compression methods such as AAC, MP3, Vorbis and Musepack. Data file compression is employed in order to reduce bandwidth, file transfer time, or storage requirements. A digital recording (such as a CD) encoded to the Monkey’s Audio format can be decompressed into an identical copy of the original audio data. As with the FLAC and Apple Lossless format, files encoded to Monkey’s Audio are typically reduced to about half of the original size, with data transfer rates and bandwidth requirements being reduced accordingly. Monkey’s Audio’s advantages are better compression rates compared to FLAC and WavPack, as well as multithreading/multicore support.

Q: What is FLAC ?

A: FLAC stands for Free Lossless Audio Codec, an audio format similar to MP3, but lossless, meaning that audio is compressed in FLAC without any loss in quality. This is similar to how Zip works, except with FLAC you will get much better compression because it is designed specifically for audio, and you can play back compressed FLAC files in your favorite player (or your car or home stereo, see supported devices) just like you would an MP3 file. Notable features of FLAC: Lossless: The encoding of audio (PCM) data incurs no loss of information, and the decoded audio is bit-for-bit identical to what went into the encoder. Each frame contains a 16-bit CRC of the frame data for detecting transmission errors. The integrity of the audio data is further insured by storing an MD5 signature of the original unencoded audio data in the file header, which can be compared against later during decoding or testing. Fast: FLAC is asymmetric in favor of decode speed. Decoding requires only integer arithmetic, and is much less compute-intensive than for most perceptual codecs. Real-time decode performance is easily achievable on even modest hardware. Hardware support: FLAC is supported by dozens of consumer electronic devices, from portable players, to home stereo equipment, to car stereo. Flexible metadata: FLAC’s metadata system supports tags, cover art, seek tables, and cue sheets.
