The drive should be compatible with Windows 10.
One thing, in the Device Manager see if the drive appears as an «Initio» device as explained in the following link:

Much thanks but there is no «initio combo device class » under Device manager. I received the following from Asus technical «support».

I checked and found that the SDRW-08D2S-U drive is not compatible with the windows 10 operating system.
