I have a 32 Bit Windows 7 machine with an embedded ATI Radeon 2100 video card. It currently is using the Microsoft WDDM driver and I am unable to find or install an AMD driver. I need to install the AMD driver so I can get OpenGL support. My son can’t play Minecraft right now so this is an emergency.

That graphics card just barely meets the minimum requirements of Minecraft, but you will not by any stretch of the imagination be able to enjoy the game. You need to upgrade your system.
- CPU: Intel Pentium D or AMD Athlon 64 (K8) 2.6 GHz
- RAM: 2GB
- GPU (Integrated): Intel HD Graphics or AMD (formerly ATI) Radeon HD Graphics with OpenGL 2.1
- GPU (Discrete): Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT or AMD Radeon HD 2400 with OpenGL 3.1
- HDD: At least 200MB for Game Core and Other Files
- Java 6 Release 45
Windows 10 drivers for AMD 740G chipset (AMD Radeon 2100, both 32- and 64bit)
If you have tried to install Windows 10 on an older setup that runs on AMD 740G chipset (which integrates ATI Radeon 2100 graphic chip), you might have run into the issue where Windows 10 fails to locate proper drivers for this hardware; and it uses generic graphics adapter driver instead which is only able to run 1024×768 on this chip and not a pixel more.
Search no more, there are working drivers (both x64 and x86), but they are hard to find (well, if you are reading this, you already found them, but I went through quite some trouble).
I am in the Czech Republic and I have found deep in comments on a local IT news site someone mentioning they got it running through Windows 7 drivers for an MSI motherboard with this chipset (I myself tried a lot of different drivers for Windows 7 from Gigabyte, neither of them worked and one of them even bricked my whole setup).
Well anyway, I went googling MSI, and their website was down. Great, though it turned out it was not down, just their DNS settings are broken and their whole website just didn’t really work from over here, so I had to teleport through my American VPS over VPN into the United States and ta-dah, after hours of trying I finally got me working drivers.
For future reference, I am saving them here since I have a full office of PCs running on this chipset that I am slowly migrating to a fresh install of Windows 10, because well… after running a Windows 7 instances for almost a decade, it’s time. 😀
This was tested and works on:
* Gigabyte GA-MA74GM-S2, rev. 3.0 (HW ID is PCI\VEN_1002\DEV_796E\SUBSYS_D0001458\REV_00 )
Frankly, I don’t remember the exact source for these drivers, but they are from the MSI website, downloaded as Windows 7 chipset drivers for a random MSI motherboard with 740G, so you can try to re-find them if you don’t trust this unknown blog with bunch of articles written in weird language running on basic WordPress. Though it does look more trustworthy than www.download-every-single-driver-in-the-world.com , doesn’t it? No, seriously, I will try to eventually cite the proper source. Edit: Someone found it and posted the links in the comments, feel free to download directly from MSI.

How to install this driver?
- Pres WinKey + R , type in devmgmt.msc and Enter (or simply access the Device Manager any way you like)
- Expand the option Display adapters
- Right-click on the graphics adapter and select Update Driver Software.
- Select the option Browse my computer for driver software
- In the next window point the path into the folder you just unzipped from the drivers you had just downloaded.
- Keep clicking Next until the end, and then restart the computer
Known issues
I have ran into an issue when the computer has two separate LCDs plugged in (into the VGA and DVI port). On those computers, some (not all) of the graphic elements in Windows 10 are blurred (as if the displayed pixels don’t match the physical pixels). It only happens with desktop icons and some of the settings. I have spent another afternoon on this after finally I gave up. Tried everything and nothing works. However even if you really need to run two displays, it’s just a little annoying but totally can be lived with. All the other computers that have only one screen attached run perfectly.
If anyone manages to find out what might cause this and how to fix it, please let me know in the comments!

you’re the only site that i’ve found (including AMD) that easily and successfully filled my need for a updated driver for my Radeon graphics that shouldnt have sucked as badly as they were so before spending a lot of loot on new graphics card i made a final search and found,what i feel ,is truth on the internet-and from Czech republic no less! Im in Canada but im afraid the west is hung up on hype and bullshit more than simple solutions and services met-but thats not sexy or scandulous.lol.I love you guys-big fan from here in.

I like everyone was pleased to find this, but I must say we are now using an unoptimised driver that is almost 10 years old. For instance my screen from time to time only shows a white cursor on boot up
