Could you please tell me that is your machine a domain computer?
We could set auto lock feature in Registry Editor.
Please navigate to the following path: \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows
1.Right-click Windows. Click New. Click Key.
2.Type Personalization and hit Enter on your keyboard. Right-click the Personalization key you just created. Click New. Click DWORD (32-bit) Value.
3.Type NoLockScreen and hit Enter on your keyboard. Double-click the NoLockScreen DWORD you just created. Type 1 in the Value data field. Click OK.
If you want to set this configuration in domain, we could set the following policy in group policy management.
Path: Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Control Panel -> Personalization.
Policy name: Do not display the lock screen.
Disable automatic lock with Windows 7
My husband finally got a second to work on my computer. We kept working on security screens, but that was not it at all. Here is the solution:
Go to the «Control Panel».
Click on «Appearance and Personalization».
Click on «Change Screen Saver».
Unclick «On resume, display logon screen».
This will solve ALL the above problems.

Welcome to Microsoft answers.
Since the security features are enhanced on Windows, this happens when the password is enabled on the computer to ensure for the more protection for your user account, however you may disable the password and check if that helps you. You may disable the password at your own risk.
Here are steps to disable the password after waking from sleep.
2. Click Control Panel.
3. Click Power Options.
4. Click on “Require Password on Wakeup” on the left pane.
5. Select the option “Don’t require a password.”
Note: when your computer wakes from sleep, anyone can access the data because the computer isn’t locked.
Let me know if this worked.

Is this a joke? Out of the many annoyances/bugs I’ve encountered after «upgrading» from Windows 7 to Windows 10, this is the most pointless and irritating feature I’ve encountered.

I did all of that already and my screen still times out after like 10 seconds of me not moving my mouse and it goes to the lock screen. I already turned off all of the above options and it still does it, it is very annoying
