Awakened PoE Trade consists of 2 important parts

UI, easy to develop, does not cause a headache for the developer (me).
Communication with OS, literally nightmare, also keep in mind that APT supports Windows(7,10) and Linux(zoo): shortcuts, mouse movement (auto-hide mode), clipboard, keyboard press simulation, monitoring that PoE window is active, show the price-check window itself, «fighting» against 3rd party add-ons that do «bad things» and be friendly with them at the same time while sharing one PoE window.

Current 1.x.x version shows «always on top» price-check window only when you press hotkey.
Not only players demand more features, but I also have some interesting ideas, unfortunately they are not «compatible» with how the program works now. After a little research, I came to the conclusion that it would be necessary to (option 1) switch to Overwolf, which for me is highly undesirable, or (option 2) to tinker with C code and OS APIs. Obviously, the 2nd option was chosen.

After 3 weeks of development and testing I got a pretty robust solution. This is a major change. Due to the unpredictability of both the OS itself and the user environment I invite you to beta test.

What are we testing? How to test?

APT is friendly to other windows and 3rd party tools, so run all the tools you usually use
APT has the red test-border that must exactly match PoE sizes
- move PoE window;
- resize PoE window;
- switch between «windowed fullscreen», and «windowed» mode;
- change «Display» (if have 2 monitors);
- open two PoE clients and resize them so that they are not the same size, when switching between them, the overlay should automatically move and resize.
APT shows «Game window is not active» in bottom-right corner (when PoE window is not focused)
- Alt+Tab;
- click on the Desktop and again on the game;
- go to windowed fullscreen and toggle Windows Start menu;
APT shows as transparent window
- quit APT & PoE. Open PoE, open APT and click on PoE window
- quit APT & PoE. Now in reverse order. First launch APT, and wait till tray icon is shown, then start PoE client
APT correctly focuses and defocuses
- press Shift+Space to activate overlay, press Esc to bring focus back to the game
- do a price check in auto-hide mode, move mouse slowly (holding Ctrl) to the window, it must become active
- do a price check in auto-hide mode, move mouse very-very quickly (holding Ctrl) to the opposite side of the screen, price-check window must close
- do a price check in locked mode

There is also some edge-cases, however, it will not be easy to understand and explain them; the above list is enough.

Bonus: press Shift+Space to activate overlay and interact with beta preview of new widget system.

Where can I change settings, league?

Is this app approved by GGG? Can I get banned for using it?

There are no approved apps created by community. If app complies with the game ToS, does one server action per button press and doesn’t interact with the game client itself (injecting into the process, changing the process memory aka cheats) it can be considered safe.

If you get banned, the first action is to Contact Support

I want to Ctrl + Scroll stash tabs without zooming my character.

You can disable “Mousewheel Zoom” in PoE settings (Options -> UI -> 3-rd check mark starting from the bottom)

Don’t worry, you still can use keys

Will my language be supported?

No plans to support other languages. Why is there Russian language? Because: 1 — this is the native language of developer; 2 — helps to create cleaner abstractions in code and test it; 3 — has the most active community, at least according to the numbers I can measure.

I can’t price check items in Divination Card stash tab.
I can’t price check rewards in Curio Display room (Heist Blueprints).
I can’t check modifiers of the maps proposed by Zana when mapping.

Yes, you can’t. The game doesn’t copy anything to clipboard when pressing Ctrl + C in these places. And as mentioned in the Quick Start, the whole thing how app works based on text of item in clipboard.

Regarding Divination Card stash tab, you can use another 3rd-party apps that price check your stash tabs (e.g. Exilence Next)

What does the orange/red circle (next to the item’s listed time) mean?

It shows player’s status: AFK/Offline respectively.

Awakened POE Trade for Mac! Unofficial release

I’d gotten Path of Building on Mac working, but as someone who makes most of my currency through crafting and trading, I wanted to get the most popular trade tool Awakened POE Trade (originally by SnosMe) working on MacOS X.

I quit the league last week, and after a weekend of hacking, it’s ready! Probably buggy, but it works!

Installation and update steps

1. Just download the .dmg, and copy the app to your Applications

1a. If you’re updating from a version released before June 5, 2021, run this line in your terminal to update the settings to avoid bugs with the keyboard

2. Run the app by right clicking and clicking Open. It’ll ask for Accessibility permissions. Open up the settings using the link and grant the permissions by checking the box. If you’d installed a previous version, you need to unlock permissions using the lock, and then uncheck/check Awakened POE Trade again. Then, relaunch it and it should work.

3. Re-run the app

4. Try pressing the keyboard shortcuts while you have Path of Exile open and focused

Known bugs

I probably won’t be fixing these, but feel free to look into them if you have time!

The overlay sometimes doesn’t show up if you alt tab and then immediately try to show it. Just focus the Path of Exile window and try again after a few seconds.

Have you launched any other trading- tools at the same time? They may conflict. Close every possible application that works in your tray.

It will seem to you that this is a long process, but it will greatly help narrow down search for a problem. You need to create a new Windows user and check if the tool works as expected in it. Since this has not happened to me or anyone else, I don’t know what else to advise

I can verify ctrl +D does not work. Ctrl+alt+d will work most the time. The application is also random closing it’s self out and have to restart. I’ve attempted to change the keys to get the ctrl+D to work but it has no affect. Going to attempt uninstall and reinstall later

Same problem. ctrl+D (or in my case ctrl+4) does work for a few minutes. Then after a while ctrl+d stops working and only ctrl+alt+d does work, until I restart the app.

After reinstall ctrl+d now works how ever now with ctrl alt D I can not click on any of the boxes the app goes into the background. I’ve tried all window and full screen options.

Another attempt to fix this comes with v0.14

Hardware acceleration is now disabled by default (Solves Windows 7 issue, and any other compatibility bugs between GPU and Chromium)

neohongkong, dude, you are just useless.

Pretty sure that they were banned for using flask macro or botting or etc. People’ve been using Trade Macros since PoE had trade.

If people say they were banned for something that doesn’t that they actually’ve been banned for that.

POE trade is the old one, but a lot of player that banned claimed they use awakened POE trade, which is new/fork and probably fetch the data from https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search instead of poe.trade

If you think that the reason for bans was DDoS prevention than you are wrong. Awakened Trade Macro uses «poeprices.info».

We don’t know what they ACTUALLY have been using.

And GGG wont tell us due to their politics.

GGG doesn’t allow or answer any account related questions via the forum and the same goes for 3 party software. You will need to contact GGG support via e-mail for questions like this.

They wont answer anything concrete there. I’ve contacted them as first post about ATM ban appeared.

also, old trade macro fetch data from poe.trade, not sure new one DDOS poe.trade or official site or not.

But, just months ago people have claim they have been banned (or ip banned) with some trade macro since they fetch data from official trade site and that macro sent too many request when tagging one mod or just slide bar action, which led to the creator of that macro rewrite it, as well as official trade site imposed a cap of request.

third party software is a grey area for a very very long time. Also, i never saw any GGG staff endorsed any third party software as «safe».

Also , please let me know how to get the permission as state in TOU, or please let me know did any of the third party software has publicly post their permission when they did asked and GGG did replied and agreed to public the email conversation.
