USB 2.0 to 10/100M Fast Ethernet controller (AX88772A)

Купил на пробу, хотя идей куда применить уйма. Начиная с сервера на материнке ITX (один PCI слот) и заканчивая банальным бэкапом. Был случай что сгорела сетевушка, а разбирать плотно укомплектованный ITX корпус нужно минимум час. В случае с USB карточкой достаточно подключить ее в USB порт, установить драйвера и продолжить работать.

Упаковка и внешний вид (фото магазина):

Первое что бросается в глаза это очень тонкий провод. Само собою закос под макинтош. Это красиво и удобно, но вот насколько это надежно покажет время.

Сетевая карточка изготовлена на чипе ASIX AX88772A.
Идущие в комплекте драйвера я всегда выкидываю. Всегда ищу сайт производителя и беру самые свежие. На сайте производителя есть драйвера под самые распространенные операционные системы. Даже под такие архаичные как Windows ME/98SE и такие необычные как WinCE.

Тест производился при использовании гигабитного свича и гигабитной карточки на втором компьютере.

AIDA64 почему то неправильно отображает мБайты. Мы то знаем что с маленькой буквы это биты (мб/с), а с большой это Байты (мБ/с).

Мои впечатления напрямую зависят от цены. Обычная сетевая карточка стоит 5-7$. В варианте с USB за почти те же деньги мы получаем более гибкий и удобный вариант. Естественно у меня нет иллюзий что при больших нагрузках она может загнутся, но я не собираюсь ставить ее в ответственные точки.

UPDATE Сетевушка заработала под четвертым андроидом без всяких лишних телодвижений.
