just installed game and cant even get past the start of the game with cop part. Been searching around and everything i have tried does not work. I was really looking forward to playing this and have been trying to fix for past 3 hours with no luck. please help me out.

System spec:
ryzen5 2600
16gb RAM
1050ti
windows 10 64 bit

try the ‘verify integrity of game files’. sounds like some may be corrupted or missing.
right click on Arkham Knight in your Steam library
go down. select ‘properties’
in there. select the ‘local files ‘tab(at the top)
select ‘verify. ‘
run it at least twice. to fix or install anything missing.

Ran it twice then ran game and still got fatal error. But happened after two face and penguin came out so lasted like one cut scene more

so how do i refund this crap?

In Steam. click on ‘help’
click on ‘support’
in there click on Arkham Knight
in there . click on ‘game play and technical issues’
click on ‘I’m having another problem’
click on ‘I’d like to request a refund’

overclocking your CPU or GPU can cause this game to crash.
try doing a ‘clean install’ of the Nvidia driver
select ‘custom’ when installing , then select ‘clean install’

and you could try reinstalling ALL the redist BOTH x86 and 64 bit.
and the DirectX.

you could also disable the optimize full screen option (Win10)
right click on the Steam and the AK .exe file and ‘disable’ that option.
while you are there. make sure ‘run as administrator’ is enabled.

another thing. when the main menu appears. check your graphic settings. make sure textures are on NORMAL
and if using a laptop. set it to ‘borderless window’ mode.
exit and restart the game.
you have the specs to run it. so I’d say it’s the PC setup, not the game itself.

Thank you, i tried all of that already and game wouldn’t stop crashing i even reinstalled 3 times. I kept getting the 2012 game build fatal error. I refunded as was just too much of a hassle for so many hours trying to fix. Sucks because really wanted to play on pc but looks like i will have to get on console some time in future.

Alright, I finally found a fix for the Fatal Error. After a lot of digging, it turns out that one of the DLLs in the Arkham Knight downloads that are delivered via steam are matched to a different driver version that was updated with some of the newer nvidia drivers and PhysX packages. By changing the filename, it will force the game to use the correct PhysX driver located in your Windows\System32 or Windows\Syswow64 folder. For anybody else that’s having the Fatal Error crash, whether Nvidia or AMD, I suggest giving the following a try:

Go to your Steam\steamapps\common\Batman Arkham Knight\Binaries\Win64 folder. Change PhysXDevice64.dll to PhysXDevice64.dll_old.

seeing as how he did not give the error message you cannot possibly know if that’s true or not.

Try doing a custom.clean installation of the latest GPU drivers — current 361.75 driver has a fix for Kernel errors. If that still doesn’t work try some older ones.

MSVCR100.dll is a dll associated with C++ Redistributable Package 2010, which is needed for the game to run. Go to where the game is installed and reinstall/repair it.

Finally verify game cache.

lol, the number of times people have told me to clean install nvidia driver and reinstall C++ dist.. and verify game is too damn high, trust me, its been like 2 months since this problem, i have tried everything, the latest nvidia driver wont fix ♥♥♥♥, i rolled back to 359.06, my life has never been better, that driver fixed everything, so that means C++ wasn’t my problem. or the game’s integrity. it’s the damned nvidia driver.

Хочу отметить что этот способ может помочь далеко не всем, но только после этих танцев у меня стало всё прекрасно!

После приобретения игры я с головой ушёл в её прохождение.
Как только игра установилась я настроил графику, естественно поставил всё на максимум, железо это позволяет. Играя непрерывно в неё где-то пять с половиной часов. За всё это время не было никаких лагов,фризов и уж тем более вылетов. Но спустя эти самые пять с копейками часов всё началось.
По началу игра вылетала не часто, да и не было никаких определённых сцен,мест или полигонов где это происходило. Это могло произойти на загрузке при входе в кампанию. Могло случится спустя 15,30 минут игры. Но было это не часто не мешало проходить игру.
Но вот спустя денёк началось самое страшное. После входа в кампанию примерно минуту игра люто фризила, это происходило во время изменения ракурса камеры. Исправить это получилось только после входа в режим карты. Посидев там какое-то время проблема решалась сама. Но так не должно быть и поэтому я начал искать выход.
Большая часть статей мне не помогла. Поэтому опишу тут только то что так или иначе мне помогло.

Моё железо:
Мат.плата: — ASUS TUF X470-PLUS GAMING
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
Куллер: DEEPCOOL Lucifer K2
Видеокарта: ASUS GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER
Память: Corsair Vengeance RGB 2×8
БП: Chieftec Force CPS-650S
HDD: Seagate BarraCuda 2 Tb (тут игра)
SSD: WD Green 120 Gb (Естественно система)
OC: Windows 10 Версия 2004. Сборка 19041.508
Драйвер видеокарты: 456.71

После этой процедуры я больше не наблюдал фризов при первом запуске режима кампании.
Нужно установить совместимость с Windows 7 или 8. Без разнице, по крайней мере у меня на обоих вариантах всё прекрасно.
Как это сделать:
Отправляемся в директорию игры: «Steam\steamapps\common\Batman Arkham Knight\Binaries\Win64» и по иконке игры ПКМ открываем свойства.

Переходим в раздел «Совместимость»

Далее устанавливаем совместимость с Windows 8 или 7 и для подстраховке включите «Запуск от имени Администратора».

Ну и после этого,хотя изначально я отнёсся к этому варианту с иронией. Всё же этот банальный способ помог убрать фризы.

Вообще касательно ошибке «Fatal error»

Она с вылетами без такой ошибке чередуется. Целостность кэша я проверял и там всё прекрасно, как и все перечисленные файлы в ошибке на месте, в папке.

Решение:
Наткнулся я на один комментарий в очередной статье и там человек написал отключить ИНТЕРАКТИВНЫЙ ДЫМ/ТУМАН И КЛОЧКИ БУМАГИ в настройках в разделе Nvidia GameWorks. После этого я забыл что такое вылеты в этой замечательной игре.

А вот те кто делал этот порт. чтоб вас ****раки ***ли 😀
