Very useful and simple design, battery temp function does not work though

I chose this app for it’s low/high charge level notifications which are just perfect with the simple design. The only feature that is not working is the temperature of the battery information which always reports around 30° C, and comparing it to two other apps, CoconutBattery and Macs Fan Control, it seems that this feature doesn’t work right now.

Excellent Execution

This app has all the information you will ever need, about your battery. This is an absolutely incredible app…being that it is a FREE APP. I see true potential in this app and hope it succeeds in developing as an app and developing consumers to healthier battery habits. I am using a MacBook Pro as the device I will be experimenting this app on. A poor performing battery obviously means a poor performining computer. Some people buy a new computer, but others can pass with buying a new battery for their computer to increase performance. It would be interesting to know lifetime stress test on replacement batteries. (Logs of each battery profile)

Missing One Crucial Feature: a change in state alarm.

My usb c thunderbolt charging cable occaisionally pulls out slightly while charging terminating my charge prematurely. If I start charging late in the day, I like my charge being complete before turning in for the night. If the charging cable gets tugged out slightly before my charge is complete I might be ready to turn in and am left with one of 3 choices, 1). leaving the charge interrupted, 2). staying up late until it completes, or 3). letting it charge overnight.

It would be nice if an alarm existed marking change of state between charging and not charging . That way a prematurely terminated charge could be corrected in a timely manner continuing the charge without resorting 1 of the 3 less than ideal choices above.

Good length of battery

The battery lasts for a long time and it tells you when the battery is getting low on a MacBook Pro in the top right hand corner of your screen. This app makes my life a lot easier and I would definetly support the battery health because it has many great features. It tells you how old your computer system is and it is free for the whole time that you have the computer. I feel comfortable using Battery Health because it monitors your computers health and gives a result of how high the mega hertz are. I would not change a thing about this app.

Battery Health. It says what it is. You open a little tab and it shows you useful information on your battery. I really don’t know what to say besides it does what it says in the name and it does it pretty well.

I just got a Macbook Pro (Late 2009 Model) and the battery was pretty smashed. I’ve kept this still after the replacement and this little program helps me keep it in shape. The UI (User Interface or menu) is pretty simple, nothing special. There are 3 sections (Health, Time Remaining, and Details) of info about your battery that is provided and it is all quite accurate.

The only reason why I’m not giving it five is because it can be a bit weird at times, have random crashes, and it would be nice if there was something like computer usage. (aka CPU, GPU, and RAM usage amounts.

AWFUL! I paid for this! Annoying sales pitches! Can’t turn off the constant advertisements — for more of their spam apps! Even after paying full price! I paid for this app, and every time it starts up, or I click on it, or if I want to use it, or change a setting… it keeps showing annoying adverts trying to get me to buy more stuff. I already gave them money, and now they want more money by selling other apps every time you use this one. This company stinks, and their sales practice stinks, and I don’t recommend this app or the company at all! Why did I pay full price for an app, to still be annoyed by ads? Their spam gets in the way of me using the app, because I have to dismiss them every time! I now use another battery app, that I also paid for, but doesn’t spam me! STAY AWAY!

More and more computers are mobile devices nowadays. The most important prerequisite for a portable computer is a chargable battery which keeps the device powered. Batteries are not really cheap replacement parts and they are subject to wear and tear. Their lifetimes should be optimized, handling them with the necessary care. Battery Monitor is a small auxiliary application useful in this regard. It offers the following features:

— Display of the charge state in the Dock: This is useful if you cannot or do not like to use the display in the menu bar of macOS, e.g. when you have a screen which is not very wide. Battery Monitor can also show the estimated remaining run time in the Dock menu, even if you are using an operating system which suppresses this information in the menu bar.

— Display of internal battery information: In addition to the charge state, many other technical specifications, e.g. temperature, discharge current, number of charge cycles, expected lifetime, or capacity can be retrieved. The states of each of the battery cells and the manufacturer of the cells can also be determined.

— Capturing charge and discharge curves: The history of the readings measured by the battery unit can be displayed graphically. This way you can plot the charge and discharge curves, for example, one of the most important characteristics for the health of a battery. You can also review the graphical profile of the amperage drawn by the computer, helping to find “power guzzling applications”.

— Bookkeeping of the aging process of the battery: Battery Monitor automatically keeps a log about the charge capacity of the battery which will decrease as the battery ages. This helps you to exactly monitor how the behavior of the battery is changing over time. You can assess if your battery is working normally or if it might be defective. You can also estimate more exactly when the right time has come to purchase a new battery. For computers with replaceable battery units, Battery Monitor can of course monitor multiple battery packs at the same time.

— Notifications during charge or discharge: In addition to the display of the charge state in the Dock, Battery Monitor can optionally inform you about the progress of the charge or discharge process by other means. Inobtrusive notifications using speech or the Notification Center of macOS can be set up.
