Three windows from Kugecy village

In my collection I’ve found windows with typical nalichniki from Chuvashia (One of Russian autonomous republic). This photo made in a village called Kugecy, that at about 15 kilometers from Cheboksary city.

You know when I’ve started making photos with nalichniki I decided to publish images on this web-site only from towns. At the same time I’ve had already made photos from this village, but since then I haven’t showed those photographs even in the “Live Journal” Today I think it was a mistake: In Kugecy village lives at about 10 thousand peoples, and compare to
Mishkin , city or in Shatsk city lives only 6 thousand.

3blue1brown и MIT на русском

Ровно год назад мы — небольшое сообщество — собрались, чтобы переводить на русский самые крутые образовательные курсы, что есть в открытом доступе (например, физика Уолтера Левина). Без денег — просто интерес. И сегодня мы к вам — с надеждой, что вам понравится, что мы делаем.

Вместо КДПВ — озвученное нами видео 3blue1brown (да-да, мы договорились о переводе с автором самых крутых на Youtube видео про математику-физику-информатику).

Очень часто спрашивают «Зачем?». Не лучше ли, мол, оставаться материалам непереведёнными, чтобы была мотивация учить английский язык? Ведь если человек заинтересован в материале, он пойдёт смотреть его в оригинале.

Но на самом деле всё точно наоборот: именно хорошие материалы позволяют заинтересовать человека. Видео 3blue1brown докажет, что математика интересна и логична тому, кто с ней не знаком, а лекции Уолтера Левина способны заинтересовать физикой кого угодно (это не шутка).

Не меньше пользы и самим участникам перевода. Некоторые вставляют в резюме список переведённого и любуются. Для кого-то это отличная практика английского или перевода. Граммар-наци довольны русским языком в образовательных материалах. Голосами дикторов теперь звучат знаменитые учёные и профессора с мировым именем.

Ну и, конечно же, очень приятно чувствовать, что ты сделал что-то полезное для образования в России.

Нам очень хочется, чтобы перевод получился качественным. Корректность всех терминов, соблюдение стиля оригинала, красивый русский язык, все запятые на своих местах. Поэтому мы составили четырёх-пятиступенчатый workflow:

• Переводчик — переводит текст. Логично.
• Редактор — «второй переводчик». Проверяет правильность перевода, русский язык, смотрит на правильность фактов.
• Корректор — следит за грамотностью, запятыми, оформлением субтитров.
• Диктор — озвучивает. Это происходит не всегда — нам не хватает свободных голосов.
• Монтаж для видеолекции или вёрстка для текстового материала.

(и координатор — в роли прокси между участниками).

А теперь честно. Хабражители и хабрачитатели, вы нам нужны.
Курсов очень много, а нас — нет. Их — на любой вкус: естественнонаучные, технические, гуманитарные, медицинские, математические, всё что угодно — а мы многое не успеваем.

Поэтому мы зовём всех, кто желает участвовать в любой из вышеперечисленных ролей.

А ещё мы очень ждём:

• JS-разработчиков — у нас есть фронтэнд на ванилле (думаем про реакт или вью), бэкэнд на ноде и express и огромные планы по созданию крутых инструментов, которые сделают процесс перевода быстрее и приятнее.
• Дизайнера — для сайта и инструментов, не будем же мы оставлять дизайн на разработчиков (как это у нас сейчас).
• Художника — рисовать и креативить. Много думать про лого и остальное).
• Верстальщиков текстовых лекций — потому что пока некому, и у нас лежит несколько невыложенных материалов.
• Всех остальных — мы всегда рады предложениям о помощи, и у нас много-много задач для всех желающих на любой вкус).

740 Evergreen Terrace or the Brown House is a house in Evergreen Terrace that was inhabited by Mr. and Mrs. Winfield and later Ruth and Laura Powers. It is one door right from the Simpsons and two doors down from the Flanders. Sideshow Bob, disguised as Walt Warren, moved into the house until he was arrested again. The real Walt Warren then moved out of 740 Evergreen Terrace and the house was then occupied by a cousin of Ned Flanders, Ted Flanders. It’s later inhabited by Terrence, Emily and their children, T-Rex and Corduroy. They moved out when they found out it wasn’t cool to live in Springfield anymore. The house has a large swimming pool.
