Службы печати Bonjour для Windows позволяют определять и настраивать принтеры с поддержкой Bonjour на компьютере с ОС Windows с помощью мастера печати Bonjour.

Воспользуйтесь функцией обновления Windows и убедитесь, что у вас установлена последняя версия пакета обновления.

Требования к принтеру

Службы печати Bonjour поддерживают работу со следующими принтерами:

• сетевые принтеры с подключением по Wi-Fi или Ethernet;
• принтеры USB с общим доступом через компьютер Mac или базовую станцию AirPort.

Требования к брандмауэру

Сетевой протокол Bonjour отправляет и принимает сетевые пакеты через порт UDP 5353. Программа установки Bonjour произведет соответствующую настройку брандмауэра Windows, однако если вы используете брандмауэр стороннего производителя, настройку порта UDP 5353 необходимо будет выполнить самостоятельно.

Что включено
При распаковке этого пакета устанавливается мастер печати Bonjour (устанавливается в \Program Files\Bonjour Print Services), а также создается ярлык на рабочем столе.

How to use Bonjour for Windows 10 for printing to a printer connected to Apple AirPort Express? I can’t find any reference to Bonjour in the Windows Apps or Device Manager.

Sorry, not sure what you are asking here.

If you don’t have Bonjour Print Services for Windows v2.0.2 — Apple then, you might want to download it and install it on your PC.

Run Bonjour to see if it will «discover» the printer connected to the AirPort Express on your network and install the correct software to allow printing.

I don’t believe that Apple has updated Bonjour in a number of years, so cannot say whether it will run on Windows 10 or not.

I did not download the Bonjour v2.0.2, as it already old, and we weren’t sure if it was compatible with Windows 10.

So we downloaded the latest version of iTunes for Windows, v.12.3. The tech at the Windows store told us that iTunes for Windows includes Bonjour.

But there was no Bonjour exe or Bonjour Wizard visible after the (successful) installation of iTunes for Windows. So how do we even «run» Bonjour when it’s not visible?

Apple’s own Bonjour help page is very out of date, so no help there either.

There is a Bonjour folder in the Program Files folder indicating it (Bonjour) came with iTunes, but the ReadMe says nothing about how to install it, or even how to use it. The only exe file in that folder was something like mDNSResponder.exe. Is that Bonjour?

I viewed this YouTube video and read a similar article online. I had no success in trying this technique.

I have only an AirPort Express, acting as a Wireless Access Point, that is connected (via ethernet) to my wired D-Link router. The printer is connected to the USB port of the AirPort Express.

When I tried this technique, I supplied the IP address of the AirPort Express. This did not work. I wasn’t sure if I should have supplied an IP address for the router itself, but I didn’t know it. The IP address that I have for the router just brings up the router configuration page in a browser.

The other point of confusion was what port to use when trying to connect to the printer. Keep in mind that the printer (a HP LaserJet 1012) is actually connected to the USB port of my AirPort Express.

Finally, I should add that we had this printer working with the AirPort Express (through Bonjour) on an older laptop running Windows 7.

Question: Q: how to activate bonjour in windows 10

I have just upgraded to Windows 10 and have received an error message that

«The Bonjour service has been disabled. Bonjour is required for sharing music with others, playing music. Re-enable the service in Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services.»

Since Windows 10 does not have this aforementioned menu structure, I’m at a loss how to proceed.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Bonjour Print Service does work with Windows 10.

For a time, I couldn’t get Bonjour Print Services to run in my new ASUS Windows 10 PC. Guys at the Microsoft store told me to install the latest iTunes for Windows, but that didn’t do anything. I could see the mDNSResponder.exe in the Programs File/Bonjour directory, and a mdnsNSP.dll and dns_sd.jar, but no Bonjour Printer Wizard.

So I went to Apple’s Bonjour Support page and downloaded the latest Bonjour (v 2.0.2.0, file created 5/18/2010). I chose Run in the download dialog. After Running the install program, I found a new directory, Bonjour Print Services. Inside that directory is the PrinterWizard.exe. I double clicked that and the Printer Wizard did its thing, finding my ancient HP Hewlett-Packard Laser Jet 1012 printer. The Wizard tried to find a print driver, but none of the drivers came close. I finished up the Wizard as best I could. I then went to Windows’ Settings/Devices/Printers and found a new entry for «Hewlett-Packard hp LaserJet 1012.» I clicked on its properties and allowed Microsoft to find a driver, choosing the LaserJet 1015. Eventually Bonjour got the message and I was able to print on the HP LaserJet 1012 connected to my AirPort Express’s usb port. When you look at the Properties of the printer installed with the Bonjour it should show you your Apple AirPort’s mac (media access protocol, not «macintosh’) address.

If I understand correctly, it may be more of an issue of how to access «services.msc» in Win10?

Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE > TASK MANAGER > Select the tab «Services» . at the bottom of the tab is also a link to open the Services control panel.
