Bootcamp drivers and windows 10
Part A: Create Bootable Windows 10 USB Drive
There are plenty of tutorials available online for this step.
Here’s one using Windows:
Download the Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft
Install & Use the tool with the ISO (Pretty obvious eh?) and use FAT32 formatting with GPT for UEFI based systems in the dropdown.
Part B: Partition HDD/SSD for Windows 10 using Disk Utility
Open Disk Utility and select the disk on the sidebar (Select the disk and not the partition)
Click on the Partition Tab and then the ‘+’ icon
Create a new partition with any name & size (preferably >30GB) and format it to FAT32
Click Apply and wait for changes to take effect
Close Disk Utility
Part C: Install rEFInd
Note: This is done to support booting from USB Drives on old MB/MBP.
Extract the zip file
Open Terminal App
CD to the extracted folder’s location (Google how to use CD commands)
Type «./install.sh» without the quotation marks
Run the command on step 5 again. (Sometimes it doesn’t work on the first go. )
Quit Terminal App and Shut Down your MB/MBP
Part D: Install Windows 10
When you boot, you’ll see rEFInd window instead
You’ll be presented with the option to boot from USB drive.
Select the right-most option! (The one with USB thumbnail! Select the 2nd one if 2 USB thumbnail options are available. )
Install Windows 10 (Same as the installation for Windows 8/8.1)
Your MB/MBP will reboot. Select the Windows Icon with Hard Disk thumbnail this time.
Installation will proceed.
Part E: Downloading Boot Camp Drivers
After Windows 10 is up and running:
Extract the Drivers on the Desktop.
Run CMD or PowerShell as administrator (Use the combination Shift + fn + F10 for right-click)
CD into BootCamp5.1.5722/BootCamp/Drivers/Apple
Note: We are using CMD/PowerShell to bypass Elevated Permissions for MSI Installer
Et Voila. All drivers will install automatically via Boot Camp.
Latest and compatible NVIDIA and ATI drivers will automatically get installed via Windows Update!
Part E: Bypass rEFInd boot screen
Go to System Preferences
Select Startup Disk
Select BOOTCAMP or Macintosh HD (or whatever your OS X partition is named)
Как установить драйвера Boot Camp ESD для Windows 10
Попросили на днях помочь с проблемой — человек установил на iMac 21″ 2011 года Windows 10 (64bit, хотя, думаю, это не важно).
Установка с диска прошла отлично, активация тоже, но выяснилось, что официально Windows 10 не поддерживается на данном iMac. Из-за этого возникло несколько проблем:
— не воспроизводился звук (хотя драйвера были установлены и, что самое интересное, через TeamViewer звук ко мне приходил).
— не были установлены драйверы BootCamp Assistant из-за чего на клавиатуре Apple не работала кнопка Option ⌥.
В итоге, оба способа перезагрузки обратно в Mac OS X (через отсутствующую иконку Boot Camp или при помощи кнопки Option) не работали.
Решение было очевидно — надо установить драйвера Boot Camp ESD (Electronic Software Distribution). Но хитрые Apple нигде не дают прямых ссылок для их скачивания. В интернете нашлись способы ручного получения ссылок и скачивания драйверов, но они не очень удобны, требуют много ручных манипуляций.
К счастью, на GitHub-е нашелся репозиторий Brigadier, содержащий скрипт на Python-е для
автоматического определения версии Mac, выкачивания пакета и установки его (только для Windows).
Для скачаивания доступен как сам Python скрипт, так и скомпилированная в исполняемый файл версия для Windows. Она может не только скачать драйвера, но и сразу установить их (запускать с ключом —install ).
Запускать Brigadier, разумеется, надо из консоли с административными правами (они требуются устанавливки 7zip, который скрипт использует для распаковки полученного архива, а также для установки самих драйверов).
В Windows 10 сходу установить драйвера не удалось (т.к. официальной версии для Windows 10 под этот старый iMac нет).
Пришлось в свойствах Brigadier указать совместимость с Windows 7.
В принципе, можно запустить Brigadier без ключа Install, скачать драйвера и установить их отдельно. По большому счету, нужен был только драйвер клавиатуры AppleKeyboardInstaller64.exe, который скачивается в папку ../BootCamp/Drivers/Apple.

Install BootCamp drivers Windows 10
I am looking for the exe files for BootCamp drivers for Windows 10. I installed Windows 10 on my Mac 4 months ago using the ISO and BootCamp assistant but then I reinstalled it directly on the partition which made the BootCamp drivers go away, and now some things (such as right click and two finger touchpad scrolling) don’t work. I want to get the drivers without having to reinstall Windows (at the beginning Mac gives you the BootCamp installation files as an exe but I can’t find them anywhere online.)

NEW SOLUTION
Open Boot Camp Assistant, and click on «Action» in the menu bar.
Click on Download Windows Support Software.
OLD SOLUTION
You can download the drivers from Boot Camp Assistant.
First, uncheck «Create a Windows 7 or later install disk» and «Install Windows 7 or later version», leaving only «Download the latest Windows support software from Apple» option checked. It should look something like this:
Make sure you have a USB drive connected, and click continue. You should see a screen like this:
Select your drive and click on continue. It should download it to the connected USB drive.
Reboot into Windows, and install the support software from the USB.
Edit: I found Brigadier, a software that fetches and installs the drivers for you on Windows. I’ll take a look at it, when I have more time.
