Hello everyone, and today I will be a making a tutorial on how to fix Windows 10 crashes! A patch has finally been made, by a well-known GTA modder and patcher named Silent. It’s very easy process and does not take long at all.

I’ve tried this patch out and works efficiently and is great! I played for hours on end and did not have a single crash!

1.)
Go to this website, this is where you download the patch:

Click on »SilentPatchBully.zip under Build 3, and download the patch. Build 3 is the newest patch.

Locate your Bully directory. If you don’t know how, right click on Bully in your Steam Library. Then click properties. Click on the tab that says »Local Files.» Then, click on where it says »Browse Local Files.» Then you should be there!

Now, open up the Bully patch, then extract all the files from the SilentPatchBully.zip into your Bully directory. That’s all you have to do to install the patch!

If you don’t want to be locked at 30 fps, go find where it says SilentPatch.ini and click on it. It should open up as a notepad. Where it says FPSLimit=30, change the number from 30 to 60 and save (CTRL+S). If you want to uncap frames completely, change the number to 0, however there are many glitches involved and the game plays horribly at 0.

NOTE: Some missions may be affected by 60 fps, such as the Balls of Snow mission, if you are experiencing any weird softlocks or gameplay glitches set the number back to 30.

Hi everyone, i know that A LOT of players have crashes with Bully on Windows 10 and 8, so after studying a lot how the game worked, i’ve finally found a solution for it.

The game was made in 2006 and later ported to PC in 2008, Bully Scholarship Edition WAS NOT PROGRAMMED to run on Quad Core CPU’s (or Hyper threaded CPU’s) it’s not Windows 10 fault, It’s your CPUs fault, so how do we make it work? disabling my Cores? no, that’s to extreme, we’re gonna make the game use ONLY 2 CPU Cores, here’s how you do it:

1- Open the game as Administrator (wait till you get to the game’s Main Menu)
2- Once the game is in the Main Menu, Press the Windows key.
3- Now, open your Task Manager, find the Bully Application and right click on it, an option called «Go To Details» will appear, click on it, a list of all your Applications will appear, and the Bully Application will be Highlighted, right click on Bully, and select «Set Affinity» now you will see your CPU Cores, and they will all be marked, unmark CPU 2 and CPU 3, CPU 0 and CPU 1 must be left marked, click «OK» and close Task manager.
4- Now Bully will only be able to use 2 Cores of your CPU. and the game will work as is programmed to work, my game usually lasted from 5 to 15min before crashing, after i came up with this, i was able to play for 3 Hours straight with no issues, you gotta do this process everytime you open the game (unless you want to disable your Cores, that’s up to you)

I have dual core but,i have the patch but when I play the second mission where Gary shows ya the school, the game crash when i go to take the chocolate to eunice.

Deadly Premonitions works really nice on windows 10 tho. But yeah Arkham City another example of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PC port

But to be fair, compatibility is a tricky thing. Lots of people get games like Overlord 2 to work well on Windows 10, but it doesn’t for me. It’s just a mix of different issues.

Nevertheless, even an inconsistent port is still a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ port. Modern hardware shouldn’t have so many issues.

Very strange indeed. I do own overlord 1 and 2 as well. But you’re right for some ot would work for others it wouldn’t. Such is the issue with PCs.

It’s doubly unfair for me since I don’t own the games on other systems. Overlord, I mean.

I need to pick them up sometime. I’ve beaten the first game successfully on PC this year, albeit with some serious issues (including voice clips not playing and outright crashing upon specific conditions including after beating the expansion boss), but the second game I can’t play through. Crashes when I try to infiltrate one of the Empire forts early on. I’ve beaten both before on this exact hardware on Windows 7 before, when it was my uncle’s computer, but once I took every essential piece out and put it in my system, downloaded my own copy of Windows (10 in this case) and installed it? No longer wanted to work right.

Can’t win ’em all. I need to get an older computer and just install a dated OS to use for playing classic games. Newer isn’t always better, sadly. Especially with PCs.

I dont have the bully.exe folder 🙁

I know if GOG had it they would go out of their way to fix it, For when people buy it. but here on Steam fix it yourself.

My game was crashing constantly until I tried this. except instead of Windows XP, I took my computer’s recommendation to use Windows Vista Service Pack 2. Played the game for 3 hours straight last night.

Update — I haven’t been able to play this game since this one time. It’s quite disappointing. 🙁 but hey. you get what you pay for. I got it for $3.74

I’m sad to hear this. I also aquired the game for $3.74. I recommend repeating the same process but selecting a different operating system (try the one I suggested again). Doesn’t mater if you got the game for $0.01, you’re still entitled to what payed for.

I just find this to be a very temperamental game. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Makes me not want to play at all.
