Hi Zerjed. I’m Greg, an installation specialist and 8 year Windows MVP, here to help you.
I’m sorry but you’ll need to explain a bit more. I cannot make out what you’re trying to ask. Are you stuck on the BIOS splash screen? Are you asking if you can customize the Windows 10 startup animation (No)?
Please clarify so we can help you better.

Как изменить логотип при загрузке Windows 10 (UEFI)
How to Change UEFI Boot Logo from Windows 10
Anytime you boot your Windows computer, the very first thing you see on your screen is the manufacturer’s logo. I don’t know about you but I’ve always wanted to change just about everything on my Windows PC ever since I got the customization flu. The boot logo though is not as easy as changing the wallpaper or even the Windows login screen. The manufacturer doesn’t want you to change the logo. Although, Windows is a pretty popular platform. When a lot of developers have something, somebody will always find a way to change the Windows 10 boot logo. That is how we have this nifty tool called HackBGRT. It lets you change the Windows UEFI boot logo.
Warning
HackBGRT is a little complicated to use. Also, you’re not using it to change wallpapers. Remember, Windows is an OS that might fail to boot when you try as much as installing an icon pack. Changing the UEFI Boot logo is something at another level. It’s our duty to let you know that if you do proceed with using this tool your PC might fail to boot. It is unlikely if you’ve followed the guide below carefully but still very possible. We recommend creating a recovery media first or at least a system restore point. You can create a Windows system restore point and use it to restore your PC.
HackBGRT also creates a backup of the bootloader for such situations. We’ll show you how to use that as well.
Requirements to Chane UEFI Boot Logo
HackBGRT only supports UEFI systems and is not meant to work on anything else. If you’ve bought your computer recently, it is more than likely to support UEFI. If you’re running a dual boot setup, you’re most probably using the Legacy bootloader, in which case you can’t use this tool. You must also make sure Secure Boot is disabled. This can be done in the BIOS menu accessing which is different, depending on the manufacturer of your PC.

Steps to Change Windows 10 Boot Logo
- Download the latest HackBGRT zip from GitHub using the link above and extract the archive.
- In the extracted folder, double-click on the setup.exe file. If your system doesn’t support UEFI or you have it turned off you will be told so in the command prompt window that opens up. Similarly, you will be asked to disable Secure Boot if you have it enabled.
- Hit I on your keyboard to begin the installation. After that is complete the program will open a configuration file in a Notepad.
- In this configuration file, you’ll be required to specify the path to the image file you want to use, the positioning of the image on the screen, etc.
- When you’re done with it, save the configuration file and close it. The default boot logo will then be opened in an MS Paint window. You can edit the image or copy from another source, then save the image in 24-bit BMP format.
- Once the image is saved, the program will make the necessary changes and your boot logo will be applied. You can see the changes when you reboot your system.
How to revert changes
Did something not go as planned? Launch the setup.exe file again and hit D instead of I this time in the command prompt window. There is also the possibility that you might not be able to boot into your system. This is quite unlikely, but we did warn you before. If you did create a recovery media or already had one, you can use that. Or you can use a Windows system restore point that you may have created.
Since you aren’t able to boot into the system, you may still need a bootable Windows media, such as a disc or a USB drive. You can also use the backup created by the HackBGRT tool by copying [EFI System Partition]\EFI\HackBGRT\bootmgfw-original.efi into [EFI System Partition]\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgfw.efi. To do that you will need to use the command prompt from a Windows media or use an Ubuntu Flash drive, etc.
Having applied a custom boot logo on your PC, you might also want to install a custom theme on your Windows 10.
How to change Windows Boot Logo using HackBGRT
Whenever you turn on your laptop, you might have noticed the manufacturer’s logo or the blue Windows logo. Did you ever want to change this logo to something more customized? Custom boot logos look good and add a personal touch to your computer. In this post, we’ve talked about a Windows Boot logo changer software called HackBGRT that lets you change the boot logo on UEFI based Windows systems. HackBGRT is a little complex to use, but we’ve tried best to explain all the points in this post.
What is a UEFI system
In a nutshell, UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) is an evolvement over BIOS (Basic Input Output System), and it acts as a software interface between the operating system and platform firmware. Since HackBGRT only supports UEFI systems, you need first to find out if your computer is using UEFI or BIOS.
Caution: Making changes to the bootloader is a little risky, and it could make the system unbootable. Make sure you have a proper Windows Recovery Media if anything goes wrong. Although the program provides an alternative to fix things but still it is good to have your own recovery media. We recommend those home users stay away from it; use it only if you know what you are doing.
Change Boot Logo in Windows 10
HackBGRT is a free Windows boot logo changer software for UEFI systems that lets you change the default boot logo of your Windows 10/8/7 computer.
Once you have downloaded the program, open the setup.exe file, and now you can follow the on-screen instructions for changing the boot logo. Before doing anything, disabling Secure Boot is a must. If you have it enabled, the program will prompt you, and you should disable it. Check your laptop’s manufacturer’s website for details on how to disable secure boot.
Once Secure Boot has been disabled, open setup.exe again. Now hit I to begin the installation. The program will now open a Notepad window with a configuration. In this configuration file, you need to specify the path to the image that you want to display and other parameters such as positioning, etc. You can also specify multiple images that will be picked up randomly with the specified weight.
After you have saved the configuration file, a Paint window will open with the default splash image. Here you can draw your image or copy from another source and paste it here. Now make sure you save all the images in 24 Bit BMP format from Microsoft Paint.
After the images are saved, the program will make all the changes, and you can reboot your computer to see those changes in place.
How to reverse changes made
Did something wrong? Nothing to worry about, you can start setup.exe, hit I, and repeat the steps to change the boot logo. Or, if you want to completely remove the custom logo and replace it with the original logo, hit D instead of I on the CMD window opened by setup.exe.
If anything goes wrong and you are not able to boot into your system, which is very unlikely, use the recovery media to recover your computer. Or you can use the backup of the bootloader that was created by HackBGRT to recover the bootloader.
For doing so, you can copy [EFI System Partition]\EFI\HackBGRT\bootmgfw-original.efi into [EFI System Partition]\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgfw.efi by some other means such as Linux or Windows command prompt.
HackBGRT Windows Boot logo changer software download
HackBGRT is a cool piece of code that lets you add a bit of personalization to your computer. You can easily amaze your friends and colleagues by putting the logo of your favorite superhero as your boot logo. The source, as well as executables, are available on GitHub and are easily accessible. Use it knowing the fact that there could be a possibility that things could go wrong.

The boot logo I’m talking about is the light blue Windows icon above the dots that indicate it’s loading. I don’t think it’s a manufactures logo, I don’t really know what that is. I am not talking about the lock screen.

From the description provided, I understand that you want to change the Windows logo in the boot screen outlay.
Please be informed that the feature to change the boot logo with a custom image of your choice is not available.
The booting session is not advisable to be altered, as because this is a process during which Windows is loading the required system files to get the operating system up and running. So any changes may adversely affect the boot of the operating system itself.
Hope the above information is helpful. If you need further assistance, we would be happy to help you.

Yes, how do those OEM’s do it?
It seems like it should just be a PNG replacement, or registry equivalent, but I didn’t design Windows. 😀

Well Mystic Taz I Might Be able to answer that Question as to why Those Boot Loading Icons are Different than the default windows 10 Image. The reason why is Because Manufacturers Like Dell, HP, ETC will hard Code Those different boot icon images Directly into the Computers BIOS itself.
So they don’t actually Edit The OS’s Boot Logo Image/Registry They Just embed the image they want to appear Into the BIOS of the Computer so that the Windows OS will display the Hard Coded Image(aka the companys logo) By Default, rather than loading the basic windows 10 Blue Logo.
And If any thoughts of editing your computers BIOS are running through your mind right now, let me Highly Advise against it Because Editing Your BIOS can literally Make Your Computers Hardware Unusable.
So I recommend Writing to Microsoft and kindly asking for them Make a customization for this feature of windows.
