- This feature enables Citrix Receiver to access apps and desktops through NetScaler Gateway using smart card authentication.

- Auto-client reconnect and session reliability improvements
- This improvements enable better interoperability with CloudBridge and NetScaler Gateway. A session can reconnect using auto-client reconnect and session reliability regardless of the connection path. The specific improvements for this release are as follows:
- Improved connection messages tells your users that the state of their connection and informs them of when they’ve lost a connection and what do to.
- A countdown timer (in minutes/seconds) now illustrates how long before a session times out. A session is terminated when the countdown timer expires. By default, the timeout value is set to 2 minutes. You can change the default value in the TransportReconnectMaxRetrySeconds ICA file setting.
- This improvements enable better interoperability with CloudBridge and NetScaler Gateway. A session can reconnect using auto-client reconnect and session reliability regardless of the connection path. The specific improvements for this release are as follows:

How to install
Note: If you are an end user/non-administrator we recommend that you contact your system administrator or IT help desk. They have the setup information required and your company may also have specific version requirements.
Citrix Workspace app is a new client from Citrix that works similar to Citrix Receiver and is fully backward-compatible with your organization’s Citrix infrastructure. Citrix Workspace app provides the full capabilities of Citrix Receiver, as well as new capabilities based on your organization’s Citrix deployment.
You can find earlier versions of Receiver on the Citrix Downloads website. Please confirm with your system administrator that you require an earlier Citrix Receiver before proceeding.
Citrix Workspace app requires a backend infrastructure to be correctly configured before you start using it. We recommend that you contact your system administrator or IT help desk. They have the necessary setup information required to resolve your questions.
Citrix Workspace app will automatically replace many previous versions of Citrix Receiver and the Citrix online plug-ins; However, some versions must be removed manually before you can install Citrix Workspace app.
In many cases, you open an appropriate URL in your browser to authenticate to your Citrix digital workspace with all your applications, desktops and data. At times, you may need to configure your account by entering your email or a server address to authenticate with Workspace app to use applications and virtual desktops. You can ask your system administrator for the steps to follow in your situation.
Support resources for system administrators are available on the Product Documentation and Citrix Support website. Customers with a current technical support agreement can also open a support case with Citrix Support .

Congrats on being my first review ever on the app store!
This product does not properly handle DNS resolution. It tampers with it. SRV lookups don’t work, CNAME lookups are changed to A records. DNS responses come from incorrect addresses, etc. Stay away and get a product that actually works. F5 / Palo Alto / Cisco / Fortinet / Pulse Secure / OpenVPN / ANYTHING ELSE. This product is not worth the headache.
Update: the latest update (1.2.0) fixes the dns resolution issues, but simulatenously breaks all tcp connections so it is now completely unusable. Does Citrix test this client at all? It seems the answer is no.
Update: This app is so full of bugs, that at this point they don’t even detail what they fix in each release outside of ‘bug fixes’. We’ve given up on this vpn product and have moved on.
Causing Major Issues. Prompts to Upgrade when you’re using a different Citrix Program
I received prompts to update my “Citrix”…come to find out it was for the SSO and Workspace. and I do not even have this app installed. I currently use the Citrix Receiver and for a totally different purpose than the reviews below. It is a necessary and crucial part of my work day.
This “Update” caused major issues on my Mac…and after uninstalling it and then reinstalling my Citrix Receiver…it is now preventing me from printing from within my Citrix Receiver program. Would love to know how to block this notification so I do not receive it again, nor make this mistake again….and to prevent others from making a similar error.
Lastly, even with it uninstalled now… I am currently still receiving the same prompts to Update multiple times a day. The only choices are to click “Remind me later” or “Install”…. there is no “Ignore» or “Do Not Remind Me Again” or “Stop the Madness” options. So, I click on the red X to remove it from my screen and it continues to come back over and over.
Upgrade does not work in MAC environment
Latest upgrade for MAC IOS and Citrix are not compatiable. I work in healthcare and we use Citrix to work remotely. Have never had an issue in 6 years until now. I am no longer able to work remoitely using Citrix on my MAC laptop and MAC desktop. Heard other doctors report they regret upgrading because we lost our ability to connect. Being asked to launch download files that open up random notes application. Our IT department said they cannot do anything about this because latest MAC and CITRIX are no longer compatiable. UGH.

How To Remove Citrix Receiver on Mac?

Simply dragging Citrix Receiver to Trash cannot uninstall it completely to free disk space on Mac OS but leave a lot of remnant files.
How to manually remove Citrix Receiver completely?
- 8.1> Start Activity Monitor. Select the process name “Citrix Receiver” and hit the “Force Quit” button.
- 8.2> Open Applications folder. Find “Citrix Receiver” and drag it to Trash.
- 8.3> Open Finder or Spotlight. Search for Citrix Receiver files and folders and delete them.
How to automaticlly remove Citrix Receiver ?
- 9.1> Install and Start MacRemover
- 9.2> Launch the MacRemover, highlight the icon of Citrix Receiver and then click “Run Analysis”, which will scan out all the traces of the unwanted application automatically.
- 9.3> Click on the “Complete Uninstall” button and then choose “YES” to confirm your operation.

HOW TO USE CITRIX Workspace app
1. Open Citrix Workspace app and tap on Get Started.
2. Enter the Server or email address as instructed by Your IT Help Desk or system administrator.
3. Enter your User Name and Password.
4. Select the applications you want to use.
5. For adding multiple accounts, navigate to Settings and tap on Manage Accounts.
6. For Deleting/Editing Account already added navigate to Settings and tap on the Store.
HOW TO REPORT AN ISSUE TO CITRIX — Please contact your company’s IT support team before following these steps:
Option 1
1. Open Citrix Workspace app and tap ‘Settings’ and then ‘Support’.
2. Tap ‘Request Help from Support’; This generates an email with log file.
3. Send the email to your company’s IT support team.
Option 2
1. In the App Store, go to Citrix Workspace
2. Tap ‘Reviews’ and then tap ‘App Support’ found at the bottom right of the screen.
3. This launches the Citrix support forum where you can review reported issues OR
4. To report issues, tap the menu icon and create an account first.
