Manually manage and sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

You can use iTunes for Windows to back up and update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, and to sync content from your computer to your device.

You can also use iCloud for Windows to access your photos, contacts, calendars, files, and more across all of your devices.

Change settings and manage your account

• Choose Account > View My Account to view information about your purchase history, manage your subscriptions, change your payment information, and more.
• Choose Account > Sign Out to sign out of iTunes with your Apple ID and remove access to your content from iTunes.
• Choose Edit > Preferences to change things like your language, set restrictions, and more.

If you change your language in iTunes, you might have to quit iTunes and reopen it.

Open a Mac app from an unidentified developer

If you try to open an app that isn’t registered with Apple by an identified developer, you get a warning dialogue. This doesn’t necessarily mean that something’s wrong with the app. For example, some apps were written before developer ID registration began. However, the app has not been reviewed, and macOS can’t check whether the app has been modified or broken since it was released.

A common way to distribute malware is to take an app and insert harmful code into it, and then redistribute the infected app. So an app that isn’t registered by an unidentified developer might contain harmful code.

The safest approach is to look for a later version of the app from the Mac App Store or look for an alternative app.

To override your security settings and open the app anyway follow these steps:

In the Finder on your Mac, locate the app you want to open.

Don’t use Launchpad to do this. Launchpad doesn’t allow you to access the shortcut menu.

Control-click the app icon, then choose Open from the shortcut menu.

The app is saved as an exception to your security settings, and you can open it in the future by double-clicking it just as you can any registered app.

Note: You can also grant an exception for a blocked app by clicking the Open Anyway button in the General pane of Security & Privacy preferences. This button is available for about an hour after you try to open the app.

To change these preferences on your Mac, choose Apple menu

> System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, then click General.

Согласно сообщению с итальянского сайта Aggiornamenti Lumia, Apple готовится к запуску своего нового приложения для Windows в магазине Microsoft. Не совсем понятно, о каком приложении идет речь, но нетрудно догадаться, что это может быть приложение для Windows, предназначенное для одного из потоковых сервисов Apple — Apple Music и Apple TV +. Возможно, компания объединит их в одно приложение или выпустит два отдельных — такие слухи в нашем Telegram-чате тоже ходят.

iTunes доступен в Microsoft Store с 2018 года, это классическое программное обеспечение для настольных компьютеров. Теперь, когда Apple уходит от iTunes, и на Mac теперь есть отдельное приложение для Apple Music и Apple TV+, то же самое скоро может быть доступно для пользователей Windows.

В частности, приложение Apple TV в настоящее время уже доступно на Smart TV и других телевизионных приставках, так что именно оно может стать следующим сервисом Apple, доступным для Windows.

Если на Mac Apple выпускала красивые программы с интуитивно понятным интерфейсом, то на Windows-версиях ее разработчики как будто «отдыхали». Странно только, что с момента отказа от iTunes прошло уже больше года, прежде чем Apple доделала приложения под Windows.

App Clips

Dark Mode

With built-in privacy and security features, Sign in with Apple is a great way to help users set up an account, sign in, and engage with your app quickly and easily. All accounts are protected with two-factor authentication, and Apple will not track users’ activity in your app or website. Apps that authenticate or set up user accounts must support Sign in with Apple if required by guideline 4.8 of the App Store Review Guidelines. Test on devices.

All-screen support

Apps should look great on all models of iPhone and iPad, regardless of display size or aspect ratio. With features like Xcode storyboards, Auto Layout, and SwiftUI, your app’s interface elements and layouts automatically fit the display. Test your apps with the latest devices or the simulator in Xcode 12 to make sure they’re ready to take advantage of the edge-to-edge displays by respecting safe areas, supporting adaptive layouts, and more. Find and address UI issues in your app before testing on a device to make sure your app looks great. App updates must use an Xcode storyboard to provide the app’s launch screen. In addition, new apps that run on iPhone must support all iPhone screens and new apps that run on iPad must support all iPad screens.

The App Store is designed to provide users with apps that work seamlessly with their device’s capabilities. Verify your information property list (info.plist) is compatible with any device requirements when submitting a new app that takes advantage of the latest technologies.

TestFlight beta testing

Before finalizing your app for release, get valuable feedback with beta testers. Upload your app to App Store Connect and use TestFlight to test on a device and easily invite other testers.

Before submitting your app for review, make sure it’s ready to be publicly released and that you’re making the most of your product page.

Guidelines

All apps submitted to the App Store are reviewed based on a set of technical, content, and design criteria. Make sure to review the App Store Review Guidelines before submitting your app for review.

Product page

Make sure your app’s name, icon, description, screenshots, app previews, and keywords are ready for your product page. You can also take this opportunity to update your subtitle and promotional text, and choose to promote any new in-app purchases. If your app supports Dark Mode, consider including at least one screenshot that showcases what the experience looks like for users.

App Privacy Details

Enter all necessary information about your app’s privacy practices, including the practices of third-party partners whose code you integrate into your app, in App Store Connect. These details inform the app privacy label on your App Store product page and are required to submit new apps and app updates to the App Store.

iPhone and iPad apps on the Mac App Store

Your iPhone and iPad apps will be published automatically on the Mac App Store on Apple silicon Macs, unless you update their availability in App Store Connect.
