Creative Audigy 2 нет звука на Windows 10 1903/1909

Приветствую. Пользуюсь звуковой карточкой Creative Audigy 2 (SB0240). Несмотря на то что звуковой карте уже лет и памяти, звук в ней очень классный – сочные басы и хорошая четкость и разборчивость звучания. На голову лучше встроенных в материнские платы звуковых чипов.

Кстати, этот гайд должен подойти и к карточке Creative Audigy 2 ZS, но насчёт Creative Audigy 2 SE я не уверен, т к это урезанная версия и у неё другие драйвера.

Всё было отлично, но после обновления Windows 10 на версию 1903 (тоже самое будет и с 1909) перестала работать эта звуковая карта. После поиска решения, у меня заработало следующее:

1. Сначала удалите все драйвера для звуковой карты.

Есть альтернативный пак драйверов от энтузиаста (Daniel_k), который можно найти [здесь]. Скачиваем этот драйвер пак и распаковываем. В папке KillDrvX запускаем KillDrvX.exe от Администратора и убиваем старый драйвер, чтобы можно было полностью его деинсталлировать.

Затем удаляем драйвера из Панели управления -> Программы и компоненты или путём запуска инсталлятора и выбора пункта Деинсталляции) и затем само устройство из Диспетчера Устройств.

Затем перезагружаем ПК.

2. Переходим в папку с драйвер паком, скачанным ранее, и запускаем инсталляцию тип Full Installation или можно Custom и отметить что вам нужно (можно ставить всё, кроме софта Dolby – он платный). Крайне желательно ничего не делать в это время и не дёргать компьютер. Если во время установки будет ругаться, что не может создать ярлыки, то кликаем Пропустить/Игнорировать – ничего страшного в этом нету, создадим ярлыки потом сами (Ctrl+Shift+Перетаскивание исполняемого файла из папки, куда установится драйвер пак – по-умолчанию это C:\Program Files (x86)\Creative\SBAudigy2 и там в подпапках есть Эквалайзер и прочие утилиты).

Перезагружаем ПК, когда инсталлятор попросит, и проверяем звук.

3. Если звука по прежнему нет (как и было в моём случае), то нам нужно “подкормить” операционной системе файл драйвера от производителя.

Для этого скачиваем драйвер [Отсюда]. Вводим капчу и открываем скачанный файл в архиваторе (7-zip к кпримеру) и распаковываем. Папка будет что-то вроде “SBA5_PCDRV_L11_3_01_0056B”.

Переходим в поддиректорию Audio -> DriversWin10 -> wdm. Находим файл “wdma_emu.inf“, щелкаем правой кнопкой мыши и в контекстном меню выбираем Установить (Install).

Перезагружаемся и наслаждаемся хорошим звуком.

Спасибо. Инфаа полезная, но вот одна проблемка. Вроде всё заработало, но рабочейй устройство Speakers/ Стоит переключиться на SPDIF OUT как звук исчезает. Хотя забвано конечно, в систему уровень вроде как дергается, но звука нет. И вроде рад что уже хоть какой-то звук, но на SPDIF на 86х работал и звук гооораздо лучше.

SPDIF не пользуюсь, только 3.5 jack – потому не могу подсказать, чем помочь.

Здравствуйте ! Такая проблема. Виндовс ХР ,звуковая карта creative sb audigy 2 zs platinum .Не хочет воспроизводить файлы МИДИ в программе visual arranger . В виндовс проигрыватели играют,но коряво.WAV файлы звучат нормально.Подскажите как исправить эту беду.

Microsoft really wants to fix all the issues affecting the Windows 10 May 2019 Update. Some Windows 10 users experienced an issue with Creative sound cards. Recent reports suggest that Creative is currently testing a fix for its sound cards issues.

The tech giant even acknowledged the bug in Windows 10 build 18362’s release notes. This compelled Microsoft to block the May 2019 Update on the affected systems. Microsoft stated:

Creative X-Fi sound cards are not functioning properly. We are partnering with Creative to resolve this issue.

Microsoft kept its promise and the new drivers will apparently be released very soon. An engineer from Creative, Ryan recently confirmed the news on Reddit.

He said that the upcoming drivers for Titanium, and Xtreme Gamer, Xtreme Music will also support Windows 10 v1903.

Microsoft is currently testing these drivers and the company announced that they would be available in the next few days. It looks like Microsoft is planning to release them as a part of May 2019 Update.

Quick update here. We have a couple driver packages coming up in the next few days that will address these issues. Titatnum, XtremeMusic, and XtremeGamer cards will be included with the fixes. I’m expecting to see them go live by the end of this week

Others users how have Titanium HD cards are still waiting for the upcoming driver update. Ryan confirmed that Creative is also working on a fix for systems with a Titanium HD card. However, the roll out may take some time.

Windows 10 1903 breaks Creative Labs X-Fi Soundcards

Heads up if you have a Creative Labs X-Fi series soundcard. Windows 1903 blows away the Speaker output device and some input devices including What You Hear.

About a month ago, Creative said they’d be issuing updated drivers in about a week. A week later, a Creative representative was apologizing for the delay saying that Microsoft had really been making a lot of changes under the hood with the sound subsystem. The conversation has since fallen silent.

I can’t say it won’t be fixed, but it does not look promising.

I have an X-Fi Elite Pro, and admittedly it’s a transplant from an older PC into my current one that is circa 2012, so these sound cards aren’t exactly new, but they still work and have excellent specs compared to most on-board stuff.

Have you run into a problem with your Creative sound card? Have you found a solution? I’m shopping for a new card for music production and just all around good specs, so if you’re into hi-res audio and do music production, I’d like to hear your experiences. Thanks.

I haven’t had an X-Fi card in years. Didn’t know they still made them. I got tired of Creatives poor support and drivers over the years. They have great equipment, just terrible drivers. I finally had to find a 3rd party that made compatible (and actually better) drivers. I can’t remember where I got them from but it was like the Omega Drivers in the old days where you got

10% better performance out of your video card just with a more optimized driver.

Ran an Audigy 4 for a long while. Creative broke drivers back in Windows 7 and removed LOADS of functionality, purposefully. There was a guy that made a custom driver pack that re-added it all, Creative went after him, but eventually gave up and allowed him to release (and even update) drivers. Loved that thing, still sits in a drawer but haven’t used it in years, won’t buy another Creative sound card. Anything with 7.1 is too expensive anyway.

I have not used that sound card at all; however, I have found that 1903 breaks and deletes a tremendous amount of data and programs. In my opinion, if you need to move to that build, definitely back up all data and ensure that you have all your installation disks for all your programs and have a current backup before you start. After losing all my data and half of my installed programs after installing 1903, I was fortunate enough to restore to that point prior to 1903. My recommendation is if you need to move to 1903, do it from a clean installation then install all your programs then copy your data files over.

Hi Lapetinap, What kinds of data and programs did it remove? The system on which I experienced the Creative sound card issue has literally hundreds of programs installed, and about 20TB of disks hanging off of it, but the only issue I ran into was the sound card. It didn’t touch any data, and though it’s only been upgraded for about a week and a half, I haven’t noticed anything else that went missing or was uninstalled. I’d sure like to hear more about some of the areas that got hit for you, because maybe I’m missing other things. Thanks.

I guess it depends on your vantage point. Did windows break it, no. Did creative fail to provide drivers, yes.

Is this repeated behavior from creative over the years, yes. The easiest for creative to get more of your money is to no longer support the legacy hardware.
