Mavericks and Yosemite on GMA X3100 macbooks

As i can see all macbooks that has came with x3100 graphic card has the ability to boot in an 64bit efi, the only issue of these upgrading to a custom mavericks or yoseimite installation is the graphic acceleration (?).
If I had understood right with x3100@64bit kext we theorically be able to have some sort of graphic acceleartion or at least run «well» these OS.
I’ve found googling that link (http://swegen.blogspot.it/2011/07/bootefi-x64-patch-for-mac-os-x-lion-and.html?m=1 ) with a download of x3100 kext @64 bit and a 64 bit boot.efi enabler for these macs..
Now, with these kexts is there someone able to do at almost clean install of these OS on these macbooks?

I already run ML@MLPF on my macbook.. for the mavericks thread there are only used methods like SFOTT wich I think on these macbooks with a full 64 bit capability are at least a no sense
and hackerwayne seems to be goone by a long time now

I’m using Yosemite 10.10.3 on a Dell Inspiron X3100. I’m using some X3100 64-bit kexts from 10.6.2 that may have been modified by someone, I downloaded them from some hackintosh site. They seem to give me functionality with some acceleration, but not all acceleration.
There are 5 files for the X3100, two kexts, two bundles, and one plugin. They are called: AppleIntelGMAX3100.kext, AppleIntelGMAX3100FB.kext, AppleIntelGMAX3100GA.plugin, AppleIntelGMAX3100GLDriver.bundle, and AppleIntelGMAX3100VADriver.bundle.
The two kexts are both shown as loaded. Things that require Quartz Extreme & Core Image seem to work, for example, screensaver Flurry that’s QE works smoothly, and Chess moves the pieces smooth in 3D views. But things that require OpenGL don’t work well at all. Open GL Extensions Viewer shows 0MB for the video, and it shows «Apple Software Renderer» rather than the X3100 hardware. The X3100 for Mac supports 87 OpenGL extensions, while the Apple Software Renderer only supports 46 OpenGL extensions, plus the software renderer seems exceptionally slow, I’m getting single digit frame rates on the most simple OpenGL tests. Other applications that use OpenGL fail to work correctly.
In exploring this, I opened the Contents folder of all the extensions, and noticed that in the AppleIntelGMAX3100GA.plugin that the info.plist seemed to specify specific Apple hardware, and statically load based upon some other hardware parameters. The specific ID of the Apple X3100 was different than my Dell Inspiron ID, so this apparently needed to be modified for this plugin to work. The critical portion of the info.plist is:

Where CFPlugInFactories & CFPlugInTypes shows ‘80862582’ for a real Mac, and my Dell should be ‘80862A02’. I modified both these, repaired ownership & permissions, and have the kext loading in ‘dev’ mode to bypass the broken signature from the mod, but it doesn’t help anything, and I can’t tell if it loads or not, but evidently not. I also don’t know the meaning of the CFPlugInTypes key that ends a2789904e, which may be some hardware specification that needs modification to load? Does anyone know about these plugins & bundles, and how to know if they’re loading correctly? I don’t even know what the names are short for, but I believe GAPlugin is likely «graphics accelerator plugin» and «GLDriver» is «graphics library driver», and VADriver is «video accelerator driver» but I’m not sure? I don’t believe these are working correctly, but getting them working may be impossible. I’ve tried changing the CFPlugInDynamicRegistration from «NO» to «YES», and then deleting the static hardware CFPlugInFactories & CFPlugInTypes that aren’t required, but this also didn’t help the OpenGL to be correctly identified or function faster. I’m lost, any help?

How about Safari on web sites with lots of graphics animations or CTRL-UP/CTRL-DOWN/CTRL-LEFT/CTRL-RIGHT actions? All smooth? Can you open DVDPlayer? If so, check the supported features (through Help menu). If you have full graphics support/acceleration, you’ll get same report as per attached screenshot.
If you have Apple Developper Tools (XCode), try & run the Quartz Debug app, that’s supposed to activate QuartzGL, deactivated by default since ML I understand. But I doubt it’ll change anything. For OpenGL, it’s not a matter of patches, it’s a matter of libraries used by the OS, most notably newer ones (OpenGL3.3, OpenGL4.x, OpenCL). If the underlying GPU is not compatible, there’s nothing to be done. Unless some sort of God pretends he can rewrite ML/Mav/Yos (this extends to apps provided with the OS) to call only on libraries previously used in say SL or Lion. But then, just run SL or Lion.
Intel GMA950/X3100 support OpenGL up to v1.4/v2.1 only. You may find the following OpenGL GPU comparison interesting:

SL was mostly relying on OpenGL2.1 and Lion introduced support for some OpenGL3.2 features. From ML, Apple decided to shake up & modernise the graphics capabilities of its OS and target OpenGL4.

Hey, I have laptop that also running intel X3100 but its detected as intel 965GM my laptop is Compaq Presario V3700. so you got the graphic controller working on yours?, can you give me guide how to make it work?

On my Dell Inspiron 1525 w/x3100 running Yosemite 10.10.1 I appear to have full graphics acceleration. I’ve checked several ways: I’ve looked at all the screensaver such as Lotsawater & Flurry, they’re fine. I’ve used Launchpad with the Option key to jiggle all the little icons. I’ve played Chess with the 3d rotation in voice command. All works fine. Acceleration seems intact.
When I start, in the verbose dialog I see the driver.x3100 kext panic, and list a couple other kexts like IOPCI in the dependencies of the short panic text, but after the boot completes, with I run Terminal kextstat I see that both the x3100 driver & framebuffer are loaded correctly, and my acceleration test good in everything I can thing of, other than Flash Player. When Adobe Flash Player 16.0.0.235 or 16.0.0.240 has an embedded frame within a Safari Facebook window, the playback of the video is sometimes slightly wrong, sometimes black w/audio, sometimes white w/audio, sometimes normal. When black or white, the overlays are correct, including ads. If I uncheck the box «Use Graphics Acceleration» in the Flash Player settings only then do the embedded windows play correctly.
Without these x3100 kexts my graphics were showing as x3100 4MB instead of x3100 144MB.
AFAIK I believe I have full 64-bit Yosemite x3100 acceleration. I used Yosemite Zone installer on an AMD Desktop PC, upgraded to 10.10.1 without issues, and then cloned that system onto the Inspiron 1525 SSD, changing the kernel, the SMBIOS, DSDT, etc. to the correct ones for the Intel Inspiron instead of the AMD desktop. Right now, I believe I have 100% functionality with the exception of iMessages sign-in, and a little bit finicky ALPS trackpad. I have 100% sound, 98% video, no crashing apps. I thought this Inspiron 1525 was DONE at 10.8.5 using kexts modified by SFOTT running 32-bit, I NEVER expected to run 64-bit Yosemite on this old laptop, but so far it’s cruising fine. thanks to the kexts from the above download.

Что я сделал,создал Primary партицию на свём харде,но при попытке установить макось я не могу выбрать партицую т.к мак распознает 2 харда по отдельности,но не находит партицию которую я создал под ось.
В общем, надумал попробовать Mac os на своем PC. Кто проделывал уже это делимся инфой HOW TO

Ситуация у меня такая: на HDD1 стоят XP и Vista + Раздел с инфой. HDD2 полностью Ubuntu 8.04. Хочется поставить Os X в раздел, где сейчас Vista. На торрентах уже качаю Leopard 10.5.3
тоже давно интересуюсь хакинтошем.
А на такое железо встанет:

Делать было нечего. На второй домашней машине соорудил Hackintosh.
Процессор / установленное ядро Mac: AMD Athlon X2 [email protected] Socket 939/ 9.2.0_sleep
Плата / BIOS: ASUS A8N-SLI SE / стоковый
Видеокарта / установленный драйвер: GF 6800GS 256MB / NVinject 256
Звук / драйвер: встроенный / АС97codec

Установленные отдельно драйверы, патчи (после установки системы): USB path V1.3 (чтобы флешдрайв сразу отображался на рабочем столе), руссификация Russian for MacOS X (Original)

Установленная сборка: Kalyway Leopard 10.5.2 (Intel AMD) + AMD Path Test1 (входит в сборку)
Завелось все с пол-пинка. Времени на установку потратил около получаса. Работает все прекрасно. и слип. и перезагруз. и все менюшки. и два ядра видит система. Проги с которыми пока пресекся не глючат. Производительность по XBench 125,1 попугай. Поработал месяц. и что-то на Винду не тянет >-) разве что на работе комп Виндовый, да у дочки дома Виста.

Коллеги, почитал я эту «вкусную» веточку и тоже задумался о переходе на OsX. Если не влом, посмотрите пожалуйста приложенный отчет о железе на предмет совместимости. Я так понял, сетевая карта в принципе не зацепится, верно? И это как минимум.

Если у кого возникнет необходимость в установке двух видекарт под Мак ОС, делюсь инфой.
На компе дочки (AMD Athlon X2 3800+ ASUS A8N-SLI Socket 939 2xGF7600GS SLI) — две системы: Виста и Мак ОС 10.5.5. В Висте ребенок играет, Мак ОС использует для учебы и Инет-серфа. Стоит две GF7600GS DDR2 (650/900) в SLI (игры пока тянут).
В Мак ОС можно использовать специальную версию NVinject DualCard или NVDarwin 1.2.5 (установка проста — ставим одну видеокарту, ставим Кекст, а затем ставим вторую видеокарту. При необходимости правим три веселых Кекста, вставив ID своей видеокарты- Geforce.kext, NV*HAL.kext, NVDAResman.kext. ).
Можно запустить две видеокарты и стригами — процедура чуть длиннее, геморнее и подходит только для Интеловских чипсетов :yes2: , чипсеты от НВидиа в этом раскладе отдыхают :sveta: Готовим xml файл для двух видеокарт в osx86tools, проверяем правильно ли указано месторасположение устройств (PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) и PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x4,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) ну или какое там у вас расположение слотов х16), конвертим в HEX и експортируем в com.apple.boot.plist, правим три веселых Кекста — Geforce.kext, NV*HAL.kext, NVDAResman.kext, вставив ID своей видеокарты.
Наслаждаемся двумя видеокартами, с возможностью подключения 4 моников в Мак ОС и режимом SLI в Виста (ХР). Стринги работают побыстрее, но для АМД альтернативы пока нет.

Поставить хочу Kalyway_10.5.2_Intel_Amd, по параметрам вроде подходит, но все равно, хочется знать точно.

Стационарный комп у меня слабоват:
процессор: AMD Athlon 3500+, Socket AM2
видеокарта: ATI(AMD) X1900GT 256mb
материнская плата: ASUS M2V
оперативка: 1GB DDR2 533mhz
HDD: 250GB SATA II
вряд ли под него подойдет какая либо сборка (все усугубляет AMD процессор, и оперативная память), но если есть какая нибудь: подскажите. Или, если поможет, посоветуйте недорогой апгрейд. В инете погуглил, частично подходит IPC 10.5.6 v2. Что ещё можно посоветовать? 😉
P.S:
инет я юзаю через роутер (dlink dir300), простите за глупый вопрос, но будет ли он работать под другой осью? Или придется ли его заново настраивать?
