Ошибка принтера «Драйвер недоступен» означает, что он либо не совместим, либо устарел. Windows также не может распознать устройство при его повреждении. Что нужно делать, когда ошибка препятствует выводу заданий на печать.

Удаление принтера

Если отображается статус при отправке заданий на принтер «драйвер недоступен», попробуйте удалить устройство и связанное с ним программное обеспечение, затем подключите обратно. Когда устройство будет обнаружено как вновь подключенное, Windows инициирует для него установку стандартного драйвера.

Разверните Панель управления командой control , запущенной из окна «Выполнить» (Win+R).

В правом верхнем углу переключите просмотр на категории и откройте раздел «Устройства и принтера».

Кликните правой кнопкой мыши на проблемный принтер и удалите.

Теперь снова разверните диалоговое окно Win + R и выполните devmgmt.msc .

На вкладке Очереди печати кликните правой кнопкой и выберите «Удалить». Этот пункт может отсутствовать после удаления оборудования на Панели управления.

Теперь перейдите в раздел Программы и компоненты выполнением команды appwiz.cpl .

Найдите все приложения принтера и удалите их.

После выполнения предыдущих действий отсоедините принтер от компьютера при подключении его через кабель USB, или от роутера, если используется беспроводный доступ. Выключите компьютер, принтер и роутер.

После подождите 2-3 минуты, прежде чем подключить все обратно. Теперь подсоедините устройства с помощью кабеля USB. Дождитесь обнаружения, чтобы система смогла установить стандартные драйверы.

Вернитесь в панель управления, правым щелчком разверните контекстное меню и выберите пункт «Установить по умолчанию».

Теперь попробуйте распечатать тестовую страницу. Если драйвер по-прежнему недоступен, смотрите следующее решение.

Переустановка драйверов вручную

Если статус остается недоступным, попробуйте обновить программное обеспечение вручную. Известны случаи, когда проблемы с выводом на печать возникали после обновления Windows. Обновленные драйвера из Центра обновления Windows 10 не всегда работают правильно во всех системах, особенно, если используете модели HP. Для решения проблемы скачайте последнюю версию ПО из сайта производителя, затем отключите установку драйверов из серверов Microsoft.

Сначала загрузите из сайта производителя последнюю версию программного обеспечения в доступное место на диске.

Перейдите в «Диспетчер устройств» командой devmgmt.msc из окна Win + R. На вкладке Очереди печати разверните контекстное меню правым щелчком мыши и выберите «Обновить».

На экране выбора способа обновления перейдите на второй вариант (поиск на этом компьютере).

С помощью кнопки Обзор укажите папку с загруженным программным обеспечением, затем следуйте инструкциям на экране.

Примечание: Иногда принтер недоступен в диспетчере. В этом случае запустите программу установки.

Теперь проверьте, правильно ли он работает. Если да, перейдите на сайт Майкрософт и загрузите пакет wushowhide.diagcab .

Запустите пакет и выберите «Hide updates».

Теперь отключите обновление принтера (если присутствует). После Центр обновления Windows не будет автоматически обновлять это оборудование.

Установка драйвера в Windows 10

Установка драйвера для HP Designjet 500 кажется сложной. На деле её можно разделить на 3 этапа:

1. Подготовка. Когда мы узнаём разрядность системы.
2. Распаковка. Когда скачивается и распаковывается архив с драйвером.
3. Установка. Когда выполняется сама процедура установки.

Начнём с подготовительного этапа. В зависимости от версии ОС потребуется: или открыть «Свойства» ярлыка «Мой компьютер».

Или открыть меню «Пуск», начать вводить «Компьютер» и нажав правой кнопкой мыши открыть его «Свойства». Обращаем внимание на «Тип системы». Нас интересуют цифры «х32» или «х64». Подготовка завершена переходим к распаковке. Этот этап довольно прост. Из предложенных на сайте двух вариантов выбрать подходящий, скачать его и запустить распаковку. Делается это с помощью стандартных средств Windows или с помощью 7zip.

Теперь начинается самое сложное: Установка. Открыв меню «Пуск» вводим «панель». Первым соответствием будет «Панель управления». Открываем это приложение.

В качестве способа просмотра ставим «Категория» и нажимаем «Просмотр устройств и принтеров».

Кликаем «Добавление принтера».

Нажимаем «Необходимый принтер отсутствует в списке».

Выбираем последний пункт в окне и нажимаем «Далее».

Не трогаем настройки и жмём «Далее».

Нажимаем «Установить с диска».

Переходим к папке, куда ранее распаковывали установочный пакет и нажимаем «Открыть» на единственном файле в ней. Нажимаем «ОК».

I have a designjet 500 c7769b. Tried to install on Dell m6600 workstation. I can not locate any drivers that will allow me to plot. It states driver is not installed. Is there a driver that will install on windows 10 64 bit? Is there a firware update to be able to install win 10 drivers?

I tried using the drivers in the link provided and I followed the recomended steps listed but the printer will not communicate with the computer. The link for the drivers are for windows 7 x64, the origional post was for windows 10. The latest driver updates for windows 10 are version 8.1, but that driver package does not have a driver for the base model designjet 500 24 by HP.

Everytime I try to print I keep getting a 61:05 error. I have followed the steps for this error and everything leads back to the drivers. The HP detection software will detect the printer, my laptop is sending the print job, the printer just seems like it cannot read the file.

I am begining to get the feeling that HP just did not make a driver for this printer on windows 10.

1) Check your driver first:

Please make sure you have selected the correct driver for your plotter. Windows 10 has drivers pre-installed for all models of the DesignJet 500 and 800. There is no need to search for or download anything else. Please select the correct driver from this chart:

2) Check this setting in Windows 10:

We have found that HP DesignJet 500 and HP DesignJet 800 plotters will install correctly in Windows 10, the proper driver will load and everything will seem fine except print jobs will never come out of the plotter. No error messages will appear on the computer either — Windows thinks the print job was completed properly even though nothing ever came out of the plotter.

PrinterStop has found a very simple solution to this baffling issue:

There is a setting in Windows 10 — enabled by default — called «Let Windows manage my default printer«. it is accessed by selecting «Settings» in Windows 10, then «Devices» and then clicking on «Printers & scanners» on the left side of the screen. Please see picture below:

The simple solution is to switch the «ON setting to the «OFF» position — everything will then start printing immediately.

This may or may not apply to more printers besides the HP DesignJet 500 and 800 series; at this point these are the only 2 models we have experienced this issue with. For that reason, we generally recommend you turn off the setting labelled «Let Windows manage my default printer«.

June 2020 Update: The HP Instant Printing application available from HP Customer Service Site — Software and Driver Downloads still works printing PDFs and should work for most customers using Windows 10. Note: The Printing Tool only works through the network in Windows 8 and Windows 10. The printing app can be found in either the Windows 7 or 8 Software and Driver sections.

The print spooler might throw an error or close unexpectedly when attempting to print, and no output will come from the affected printer. You might also encounter issues with the apps you are attempting to print from. You might receive an error from the app or the app might close unexpectedly

Solutions: Remove the June 9 update or install the following update that corrected the issue.

June 16, 2020—KB4567512 (OS Builds 18362.904 and 18363.904) Updates an issue that might prevent certain printers from printing, generate print errors, or cause apps and print spoolers to close unexpectedly.

then I get an error message ‘Error 2 running command «C:\Program’

I’m reopening this thread because today I had a problem with this plotter in windows 10 64 and I found the solution, both for the driver installation and for Autocad to detect the plotter correctly, because with other HP drivers installed the plotter could print certain types of files such as PDF or JPG, but could not print from AutoCad.

The solution is to install this driver offered by the Autocad website: HP DesignJet 500 PCL Driver (v8.10).zip

The important thing is that the driver is 8.10, since Autocad does not work with higher versions.

I know the full workaround now for this terrible bit of support from HP. After calling them and being told to buy a new plotter instead of how to use my perfectly functioning plotter, I called a local company who were able to walk me through it simply.

Download the driver that Saulx above me recommended — the one with the PCL driver

copy all of the files inside to your system32 folder

add the printer again to the point where you select ‘Have disk..’

select the dsg file from the system32 folder

Hey presto, you have a working machine that you paid lots of money for, avoiding having to pay out of your nose and accepting HP’s goal of planned obsolence.

HP this is ridiculous. I was told support was unavailble since 2015. Windows 10 was out in 2015

Thank you very much! Working in Windows 10, I was not able to get any of the drivers to work (Windows 7, 8, or 10). I installed this version from AutoCad and it worked right away.

Now, suddenly, in the middle of a job, my Designjet 500 printing process decided to get goofy. I uninstalled it and attempted to reinstall on my up todate Win 10/64 machine. I tried using the HP drivers I already had (and have worked OK) but by following the options that Win provided, I couldn’t get it to recognize any files in the HP 500 folder.

Following the advice in this forum I got the 8.10 version from Autocad but I still can’t get WIN to recognize anything.

I’m kind of stuck, with no obvious ideas. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I’ll still keep trying though.
