Драйвер bluetooth для windows 10 macbook pro

Question: Q: Where can I find Windows 10 Bluetooth drivers for my mid-2011 Macbook Pro?

I have installed the Windows 10 Technical Preview on my mid-2011 MacBook Pro 13-inch. I had been running Windows 7 with no problems. The installation had been done using Apple’s BootCamp software. The problem is that, in Windows 10 Device Manager, my Bluetooth USB Host Controller (found in «Other Devices») shows that no drivers are installed. Worse yet, when I click on Properties for the device, I get:

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

There are no compatible drivers for this device.

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

And, of course, no bluetooth radios show up in the Device Manager. Note that all of this was working perfectly in Windows 7.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Also, on the OSX side look in About This Mac -> More Info -> System Report -> Bluetooth and post the hardware information so non-Apple drivers can also be located/tested.

1.) Launch Boot Camp Assistant
2.) Choose «Download the latest Windows support software from Apple» (FAT formatted external USB drive needed)
3.) Boot into Windows 10
4.) Open «BootCamp» folder on your USB drive and double click «setup.exe»

This worked on a 15″ Retina MacBook Pro mid 2014 running Windows 10 Pro.

So this may be a little risky, but. there’s a freeware app called Bluetooth Driver Installer. I just ran 1.0.1.98 Beta 64-bit on Windows 10 Professional 10240 (presumably RTM). Assuming this app is safe (I crossed my fingers), it does create a restore point before it starts installing, so if it screws anything up, you should be able to roll back. The first time I ran it, it failed because it couldn’t write to C:\Windows\inf\bth.inf. Here’s a workaround.

Browse to the file, right click, click Properties. On the ‘Security’ tab, click ‘Advanced’. ‘Owner’ should show ‘TrustedInstaller’. Change it to your username. Hit OK, OK, OK, etc. a few times to get out of the properties dialog. Then pull up the properties on it again, go back to the ‘Security’ tab. Hit ‘Edit’ and add ‘Everyone’ — Full Control. Now the installer works. In Device Manager, it shows up under the Bluetooth sub-tree as ‘Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator’, ‘Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator’, and ‘My new generic Bluetooth adapter’.

Afterwards, I recommend putting all the bth.inf permissions back to the way they were. Edit the permissions again and remove the ‘Everyone’ permission you created. Then click ‘Advanced’. Click ‘Change’ next to the Owner. You have to type in ‘NT Service\TrustedInstaller’ (this won’t show up in search results, so just type/copy+paste it w/o the »s). Hit OK a bunch of times and you’re all set.

I just did this a few minutes ago so I don’t know whether Windows 10 will undo the modifications one day. Also sfc /scannow may not like it.

The rumored Apple iMac21,1 might be powered by a bizarre Intel-Qualcomm hybrid
by Sayan Sen

Image via FRONT PAGE TECH (YouTube) We learned back in February that Apple has been working on redesigning its upcoming 2021 iMac lineup too like it is doing so with its other Mac products. And that’s because Apple is expected to be using its own ARM-based M1 processors in its new iMacs as well. The two models, which are the 21.5-inch and the 27-inch, respectively, are reportedly codenamed J456 and J457 according to a report from Bloomberg.

However, last month 9to5Mac discovered a couple of new Apple iMac device IDs dubbed «iMac21,1» and «iMac21,2» in the macOS Big Sur 11.3 beta update. While we do not know for sure if these new IDs are the same as those stated in the Bloomberg report, what we can say is that a Geekbench run of the iMac 21,1 model was spotted today by a Twitter user who aptly calls himself ‘Leakbench’. While leaked Geekbench scores themselves aren’t always reason enough to get excited over, what really caught our attention is the bizarre and uncanny processor that is seemingly powering the system.

The iMac 21,1 seems to be powered by an «ARM Qualcomm» eight-core processor however, it is being detected as a Genuine Intel CPU. The motherboard too is seemingly being detected as an «Intel Corporation iMac21,1». The test was conducted on the macOS Big Sur 11.1 build 20C69.

Geekbench often reports clock speeds incorrectly so it’s best not to look at that to determine final specifications, however, other details like the cache amount or cores are more reliable numbers and are much more unlikely to ever change. The processor appears to be an octa-core ARM chip just like Apple’s own M1. However, The M1 which is reportedly powering this year’s 21.5-inch iMac model vastly outperforms this unknown CPU in Geekbench with nearly double the scores suggesting that the iMac21,1 may be a different product entirely.

But it must be said that we are talking about a potentially unfinished part and probably best not to look too much into these numbers. Regardless, here’s how the new weird CPU has performed.

Apple is set to hold its Spring event in four days on April 20 and it’s possible that the company talks about the upcoming iMac line. The 21.5-inch iMac seems to be running out of supply and that may be in anticipation to the arrival of next-gen models.

Apple and partners create Restore Fund to fight climate change
by Paul Hill

Apple has announced the creation of the Restore Fund, a $200 million pot of money that will be invested in forestry projects to help remove carbon from the atmosphere while producing a financial return for investors. The fund has been created by Apple in partnership with Conservation International and Goldman Sachs.

With the fund, the partners are expecting to fund projects that will remove at least 1 million metric tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere annually while demonstrating a financial model that can help increase investment into forest restoration. According to Apple, removing 1 million metric tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere will have the same effect as taking 200,000 cars off the road.

In terms of the fund’s partners and their roles, Apple and Conservation International are investors in the fund while Goldman Sachs is managing the fund. Additionally, Conservation International will ensure that the projects meet strict environmental and social standards including standards set out by Verra, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and the UN Climate Convention. Forests that improve biodiversity through buffer zones and natural set-asides will be prioritized.

Commenting on the project, Apple’s vice president of Environment, Policy, and Social Initiatives Lisa Jackson said:

Apple said that the fund is part of its wider aim to become carbon neutral across its supply chain by 2030. The firm will directly eliminate 75% of emissions from its supply chain and products by 2030 and it plans to address the other 25% indirectly by removing carbon from the atmosphere using trees which this fund will help to plant.

Mouth-watering user concept of Windows 10 File Explorer has Reddit salivating
by Usama Jawad

File Explorer in Windows 10 is an essential program that is widely utilized by users of the operating system. While Microsoft updates it from time to time, the changes are usually minor, and related to icon redesigns. This is probably why user concepts of File Explorer surface frequently, re-imagining what the program could look like, should Microsoft decide to fully redesign it at some point.

Today, we are taking a look at a new and sleek user concept for File Explorer created by Reddit user u/Alur2020 that has hundreds of users salivating on the Reddit thread. Have a look below.

The first of two images for the design presents a sleek File Explorer that embraces Fluent Design concepts while maintaining a minimalist look. Key points include the usage of new icons, as well as tags in the pane on the left. As can be seen, this can be utilized to mark and color-code your files and folders, making them easier to spot and presumably, group.

Similarly, another noticeable feature is the addition of tabs, which not only enhances productivity-focused scenarios but also gives it a more browser-based feel which most users will be comfortable with adapting to. It is important to note that Microsoft announced Sets back in 2017, which was supposed to be a new idea for tabbed interfaces in Windows 10. However, the project was shelved in 2019 and doesn’t seem to be a part of the Sun Valley update for the operating system later this year either, based on current information.

Other interesting tidbits include minimalist icons, as well as the settings and profile buttons on the top. Overall, the look is familiar but enhanced to increase productivity and general sleekness.

The second image deals with the UI you get when you open a folder. As can be seen, clicking on an item opens the options at the top where the user can decide what they want to do it with it. This uses the same minimalist icon design seen in the pane on the left.

Talking about the pane on the left, perhaps the most noticeable thing is nested folders. Essentially, users can click on a folder and get a view of the children folders in it. This is especially beneficial if you want to quickly shift between nested folders without having to go back to the root directory again and again.

Overall, the File Explorer user concept has received extremely positive response on Reddit with most lauding it as the best design that they have seen so far. With over 1,500 upvotes so far, many have also directed praise at how organized it looks and is not «blown up». Minor nitpicking is aimed at keeping the settings and profile buttons too close to the minimize button, but feedback has been generally positive and constructive so far.

It is important to note that while this is a user concept, it would be interesting to see if Microsoft takes inspiration from it and implement some of these features and UI enhancements at some point in the future, especially given the positive feedback seen so far.
