Драйвера для lenovo y510 windows 10

I have a question and that was about installing windows 10 on my y510p laptop honestly lenovo as a manufacturer announce that this model does not support windows 10 and does not publish any windows 10 driver for that and because of that i didnt install windows 10 up to now

i was waiting these years for the drivers to be published by lenovo but they didnt publish any driver until now

so im tired of waiting and really like to install windows 10 on my y510p laptop i found a website below https://drp.su/en/laptops/lenovo/ideapad-y510p?os=windows-10-x64
Which has drivers for windows 10 on it i want to know are these drivers ok for y510p?

can we trust these third party driver pack solutions?
On that website there is a driver for intel xeon e3 processor but y510p cpu is core i7 4700mq is this ok?
is there any other way to download the drivers for windows 10 on y510p?
why after these years that windows 10 released lenovo didnt publish any driver for that?

i saw a driver for the intel HD graphic 4600 , network driver on the intel website or Graphic GT755m driver on nvidia website if they are ok why lenovo dont place them on the specific driver page for this device?

Any help will be appreciated

As a technician, I would keep the same operating system it was originally created for. OEM certified and tested full functionality with it and since there is nothing wrong with using the original operating system, then there is nothing to fix.

Windows 10 features are at best with newer hardware technology therefore newer system. If your need doesn’t demand you using Win10 then no need to buy any Win10 product keys and all the mess with hunting for compatible drivers. Memory and harddrive space including persistent updates every now and then are common challenges on it too.

Investing in a newer machine can be an option and using the Y510p as a stable backup.

Try to balance the cons and pros on your end and see if you really need it for your computing needs.

Taking note of possible hardware components and settings listed after upgrading, and functional difference from original intended operating system. » After upgrading to Windows 10, you may find some features of the previous version of Windows are unavailable on Windows; or some functions do not behave as it did on the previous version of Windows. THESE DIFFERENCES MAY NOT BE ISSUES.»

As this does not limit us from availing of Windows 10 even with the above notices, other fellow members attempted installing it. The discussion here would be worth reading (a bit long but informative). Here and here are also some articles that can help if you ever encounter challenge with the drivers before using 3rd party tools.

First, i really appreciate for your fast answer this is a question to me for a years.

But now i really get confused with your answer first you mentioned that there is a hardware incompatibility and in the rest there are two articles which shows how to install unidentified driver in windows.

As a technician what really do you suggest?

Not install windows 10 at all?

Install it and use those articles for installing uninstalled drivers?

and as a last question ; i check the specific page for y510p windows 10 driver occasionally if there is no chance to publish windows 10 driver for this device please tell me to stop doing that and think for another solution like buy another laptop with windows 10 support or try it with risks.

You know the things that really bothers me is when i bought this it was a flagship laptop and as i remember i bought it with expensive price and only two or three month later windows 10 was released for public and i didnt believe that this laptop have hardware incompatibility with that since it was not too old.

I’d like to add something here mate. If you didn’t know the y510p has a sibling in the y410p, and they both were preceded by the y500 and y400. I mention this because on the Lenovo Drivers page there are Windows 10 drivers for the y500/400 but not the y510/410p.

It made no sense to me that the newer products wouldn’t have Windows 10 support, but the older ones do. So I downloaded the y400 Windows 10 drivers and installed them on my y410p. and also thanks for mentioning that.

but in comparison with y510p it has completely different specification.

2.4GHz Intel Core i7 3630QM
2x Nvidia GeForce GT 650M
16GB RAM
1 TB 5400 rpm hard drive

but y510p has the following specifications

4th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ (2.4GHz 1600MHz 6MB)
GeForce GT755M 2GB
8GB PC3-12800 DDR3L SDRAM 1600 MHz
1 TB 5400 rpm hard drive

did you encounter any problem since installing y400 drivers? any blue screen or crashing problem?
isnt risky to do so i see the cpu generation is completely different?
i dont know maybe bios or chipset drivers have incompatibility too?

and of course it doesnt make sense to me too , why newer product could not support windows 10.
a few days ago i saw my friend who had a very old dell laptop but dell published windows 10 drivers for that , im so regretfull for buying this laptop and i will never ever buy lenovo laptop again .

You’re correct regarding the CPUs, the older laptops use Ivy Bridge architecture and the newer ones Haswell.

However you don’t need to download any CPU related drivers for Windows 10. Upon installing Windows and updating it all the necessary basic drivers for your laptop to function will be installed.

The only drivers you really need to install are those with specific functionality for Lenovo laptops. I actually just reinstalled Windows 10 on my y410p just this last week, and the only drivers I downloaded where the Energy Management Driver (to keep my battery at 60% and for ideafan), and the Realtek Audio and Dolby Home Theather v4 drivers (for much better audio than standard Windows 10 drivers)

Everything else is covered by Windows itself, save the graphics card drivers which are downloaded from Nvidia. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Y510p is fully problem.

It have no driver update.

Becase of SLI nonsense , custom solutions create a lot of problem.

It have replaceable graphic driver as if it were important.

I haven’t find new graphic card for upgrade.

There is no replaceable base graphic cards at market.

My pc have odd graphic card, but Y510p designed for SLI.

Because of this system is unstable.

ı bought NGFF SSD for pc. When i open back cover, it is suprise. there is no NGFF Slot but it have NGFF space and «SSD» text.

Becase of Y510p experience I will never buy Lenovo pc.
