Do I need ELAN Filter Driver

I see that, in stalled programs, I have (on still a rather new computer with Windows 10) Elan HIDI2C Filter Driver X64. It’s not listed among All Apps in the Start menu anywhere I can see.

Do I need this? What does it do? Can I safely uninstall it? Thank you.

This program was added to our database on Jun 26, 2014. It is compatible with the following operating systems: Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10. So you need this and need not have to uninstall it as there is no harm to your computer by this driver.

I want to know this too! and I was able to find that information, it’s on their site. But I want to also know if I need the program and what it does? It’s a filter? what does it filter please.

Gosh John, I’m so sorry! What a terrible way to treat someone.

I’ve spoken with them and have to say that they were extremely helpful for me!

They even called back to see if I was ok? That’s really nice when you are lost let me tell you!

But with this question, I have left it alone. I let the software sit there because I really don’t know enough about it and it seems they may not either. Funny though that they would remove other programs but not this one?

At least I have some programs missing since 10.
