Joystick Mapper is an application that allows you to configure your joysticks or gamepads to simulate keyboard keys/mouse movement/mouse click/mouse scroll, so you can control any app or game using them, even the ones without built-in support.

A very good companion for First Person Shooters, Flash Games, Media Players, Photo Editing for example.

Works great with a variety of gamepads, including (but not limited to) Xbox, Logitech, Ps3, Ps4, Steelseries, Nintendo.

Features:
* Use any axis, dpads or buttons on your joystick to simulate keyboard and mouse;
* Map any of the 4 directions from an Analog Stick independently;
* Smooth mouse movement;
* Adjust mouse speed for analog sticks per direction individually, this can help with crappy gamepads;

Notes:
* To map Key-Combinations like Command+Q, just map two or more keys to the same input (in this example, one for Command and another for Q);
* Compatible with controllers that does use the standard HID Joystick interface;
* You may need to install a third party driver for Xbox controllers, you can find links to them in the Support site FAQ;
* If your PS3 gamepad does not respond to any input when connected using USB, just press the central «PS» button once;
* Wireless Xbox 360 Gamepads, sadly, does not use Bluetooth, you may need an adapter in this case. Search on the web for «Microsoft Wireless Gaming Receiver»;
* Other similar apps may prevent Joystick Mapper from operating correctly, if you have one and have problems, please disable them before using Joystick Mapper

Logitech F710 вообще не увидела

Mac Os не определял геймпад Logitech F510, соответственно эмуляторы его тоже не видели. После запуска программы, переподключил кабель и геймпад внезапно начал реагировать. Но основне назначение программы конечно не в этом, она позволяет назначать на кнопки и стики геймпада разные действия, как перемещение и клики мыши или комбинации клавиш. Например, повесил на LB и RB комбинации ctrl+tab (next)/ctrl+shift+tab (prev) для перелистывания вкладок в браузере, только не сразу понял, что надо поставить галочку напротив Key Repeat Off, без неё табы прокручивались как карусель из фильмов ужасов где действие происходит на американской ярмарке. В целом программа отличная, разве что, интерфейс не очевидный.

Несмотря на плохой дизайн, программа работает. Покупал специально для Hammerwatch, так как у него явные проблемы с поддержкой геймпадов на OSX.
Назначение аналоговых стиков на кнопки работает прекрасно (несмотря на один из комментариев). Для этого нужно выбрать Multiple Keys в Button Actions и указать кнопки в обратном порядке, например d-a и s-w.

С несколькими контроллерами не экспериментировал еще, но нужно точно знать, что назначение должно идти на разные клавиатурные клавиши, иначе между контроллерами будет конфликт.

worked great until it started crashing.

I used this program for about 30 minutes before it got stuck in “activate mode” and I cannot deactivate the program to change settings to my gamepad or the program will crash. I initially set it up for play with l4d2 and after I tested out the initial settings I decided to go back into the program and tweak the mouse sensitivity some. Unfortunately when I try to make changes the program crashes. There is absolutely nothing I can do to fix this. I have tried to reinstall the program, remake the .plst file that contains the preferences, and I have even emailed tech support three different times but received no reply. My advice is just to stick with mouse and keyboard since thats what you will have to do anyways after shelling out $8 for a program that does not work.

Serious waste of money and time

In the past hour that I’ve had this app, it’s crashed AT LEAST 10 times. I can’t imagine how some people are getting it to work, but I have had no luck at all. Even if I get past all the crashes, the mapping for joystick to mouse scrolling is absolutely horrendous. The mouse continuously slides downwards even when I’m not moving the joystick. I originally bought this to use a controller with guild wars 2 but all it did was make the controls (on the keyboard too!) in gw2 stop working (I don’t even know how that’s possible). Anyway run far away from this app. It’s wasted an hour of my life I’ll never get back.

Underappreciated

There seem to be problems now with this app and current macOS versions — the x/y look speeds slow down during gameplay so I keep having to turn sensitivy up in the app to compensate, but then of course that messes with steady aim speed and all that. Tried with various controllers and controllers that used to work fine.

I hope this app is updated again one day but seeing all the negative reviews has probably killed it for the developer. It is very dissapointing because once you wrap your mind around how to set up your controller properly — this was the best option for controller emulation, specifically FPS games like COD.
