Enter the Gungeon — это подземное приключение со стрельбой. Банде неудачников с нечистой совестью предстоит палить во все стороны, уворачиваться от пуль и собирать добычу — только так они отыщут легендарное сокровище подземелья Gungeon — оружие, способное уничтожить прошлое. Выберите персонажа и пробейтесь через толпы врагов на самое дно подземелья. Чем глубже вы будете спускаться, тем сложнее будет выжить; на пути вам придется истребить полчища милых, но опасных мертвяков и их предводителей — жутких, вооруженных до зубов боссов. Чтобы раздобыть мощное снаряжение и победить, вам придется собирать трофеи, искать секреты и препираться с пронырливыми торговцами и лавочниками.

Enter the Gungeon многое делает правильно. Это ведь игра про стрельбу. Из оружия. В оружейном подземелье. Населенном вооруженными пулями, роняющими гильзы, на которые можно купить новое оружие. Стреляющее пушечными ядрами, буквами, костями («Экзистенцию» смотрели?), бумажными самолетиками или там футболками, а может быть, даже пулями. И все ради того, чтобы найти пушку, которая может.

Так вот, Enter The Gungeon не позволяет тратить время на что-либо еще. Идите. Стреляйте. Стреляйте еще. Пока не надоест. Надоесть может достаточно скоро, но в первые часы это совсем не важно.

Пушка, пушка и еще одна

Сперва главное: хотите, чтобы ваша игра про стрельбу ощущалась хорошо, разбирайте Enter The Gungeon по составу и учитесь. Оружие дает нужную отдачу, момент столкновения с пулей предсказуем и безупречно считывается, персонаж реагирует на команды моментально и всегда остается под контролем, а частота кадров не падает ниже приемлемого значения, сколько бы объектов ни находилось на экране.

И на самом деле это главное. В Enter The Gungeon полно чудных маленьких деталей, вроде этой ее фиксации на теме оружия, патронов, гильз и прочего. Еще тут правильный юмор в описаниях предметов, с кучей и без того напрашивавшихся каламбуров. Но постепенно восторг блекнет — привыкаешь.

Здесь нет, например, синергии предметов, как в The Binding of Isaac, превращающей маленького мальчика в отродье Нургла. И оружие перестает казаться таким уж диким и становится просто рабочим инструментом. И музыку, лучшую музыку на свете, окончательно перестаешь слышать, потому что проходишь этаж с этой темой уже в сорок пятый с половиной раз.

Вот тут состоятельность Enter the Gungeon как игры выходит на передний план.

Сравнение с The Binding of Isaac напрашивается в первую очередь. Вы зачищаете одну комнату, потом идете в другую. Где-то находите сундук с новой пушкой. Где-то встречаете босса, бьете его и спускаетесь на этаж ниже, где новые враги, новые пушки и вообще всё новое. Или по пути умираете и начинаете сначала, в заново сгенерированном подземелье. Оружелье, то есть.

Enter the Gungeon почти сразу же становится серьезным bullet hell. Вражеские снаряды летят медленно, но их много, а потерянное здоровье восполнить всегда непросто. Поэтому важнее тут не суметь перестрелять соперников (с этим как раз никаких проблем), а вальсировать под огнем так, чтобы ни одна пуля не задела. В итоге движения, по ощущению, здесь несравнимо больше, чем в «Исааке».

Но снова все сильно зависит от удачи. Начинаете забег вы с базовым оружием (базовыми пистолетами, базовым обрезом, базовым арбалетом), и прежде, чем вы разгонитесь и достанете что-то поинтереснее, может пройти много времени. Есть вероятность, что за весь первый этаж вам не выпадет ни одной новой пушки и первого босса придется тоскливо колупать «единичкой».

Иначе говоря, в Enter the Gungeon вы сталкиваетесь с типичной проблемой «пост-рогаликов»: ранние стадии игры могут быть мучительно медленными. Их можно пропустить, но на эту возможность нужно еще наткнуться (подсказка: убейте первого босса без потерь здоровья), а вдобавок требуется через силу выполнить ряд достаточно неудобных условий.

И как раз в этот момент многие и прервутся. Кто-то махом дойдет до финала и продолжит наигрывать десятки часов, кто-то будет раз за разом спотыкаться, пока видеть первые уровни уже никаких сил не останется. Но до этого пройдет часов десять-двадцать. Даже если до концовки (после которой конец все равно не наступит) вы идти не намерены, это отличная игра.
