Нестандартная проблема с fancontrol

Доброго времени суток всем пользователям данного ресурса. Хочу обратиться к вам с одним довольно-таки интересным случаем. В общем, дела обстоят так:

В один прекрасный момент во время работы за компьютером я заметил что тот слишком сильно нагрелся, хоть я его ничем особо не нагружал, была открыта лишь среда разработки, но сразу обратил внимания на то что кулер вовсе не крутился.

Ну и тут собственно начался поиск в гугле. Часы проведенные за поиском результатов не дали. Fancontrol ругается сообщением «configuration is too old, please run pwmconfig again», а pwmconfig мне отвечает «There are no pwm-capable sensor modules installed», мол нет таких. Sensors-detect определил лишь один датчик температуры cpu — coretemp и успешно добавил его в /etc/modules. Но чего я в дальнейшем только не пробовал, но никакие танцы с бубном не помогли. После включения компютера пока BIOS тестирует компоненты то кулер крутится, в настройках биоса тоже все в порядке, но как только среда рабочего стола начинает загружаться, кулер останавливается и далее не фурычит (до 100 градусов доходило).

И тут я заметил то, что после загрузки системы и когда кулер остановился и больше не крутится, если погрузить систему в спящий режим, и потом выйти со спящего режима, то кулер начинает работать. Парадоксально.

Надеюсь на ваш опыт и знания дабы помочь мне решить мою проблему. За ранее благодарен.

pwmconfig не видит модулей

Привет форумчане, столкнулся с проблемой на дистрибутиве kali linux, не могу отрегулировать частоту ввращения кулера, по ходу он не вращается вообще. Перестал вращатся с установки linux. Запускаю fancontrol пишет Some mandatory settings missing, please check your config file! Запускаю pwmconfig пишет /usr/sbin/pwmconfig: There are no pwm-capable sensor modules installed запускал sensors-detect ничего не предложил.модель ноутбука samsung np355v4c

Твои шансы равны хрен целых хрен десятых, что ты сможешь рулить скорость вращения вертушек в буке. Запускай sensors из пакета lm_sensors и мониторь температуру, ну и если ноут не жжёт ляшки, то всё норм.

у ноутов еще ж в биосе есть управление вентилятором

Не знаю как на самсунгах, а я с недавного времени рулю вентилятором вот так: Записать в Embedded Contorller

ноутбук через пол часа на подставке с вентилятором нагреватеся до 100 градусов, температуру мониторю,но это же не вечно будет продолжатся

глядел у меня биос eufi там вообще нет возможности что то либо регулировать.

не уверен что смогу пересобрать ядро, я в линуксе не очень силен, есть инструкция что ли какая?

Controlling Fan Speed: «no pwm-capable sensor modules»

Thanks for stopping by — my problem is as follows:

lately the noise of my cpu (/chasis) fan is driving me nuts, so I wanted to lower the speed.
I followed this arch wiki guide.

this is my output of «sensors»:

Most of the time my cpu fan speed is around 3800 rpm or more, even if the cpu temperature is stable on around 46°C.

I followed the guide and wanted to run «pwmconfig» — this is what I get, when running it as root:

For whatever reason, it is not finding any «pwm-capable sensor modules»..
I googled around and couldn’t find any workaround for my issue and hoping you guys can help me out.

Hopefully you guys can help me fix this, since this issue is driving me insane and working is almost impossible with this noise all the time.

If the sensors can’t deal with PWM (pulse width modulation) then you are out of luck. You should however, go into your BIOS setup and check if you cannot lower fan speed there. Most new BIOSes allow you to tell the BIOS to set lower fan speeds, based on CPU temperature. I always set mine at lower possible value there. If that does not help your only option is hardware based, ie unplug unnecessary case fans (most of them are unnecessary unless you run your CPU at almost 100% continuous) and purchase a quieter CPU fan.

I’m also getting ‘There are no pwm-capable sensor modules installed’ when trying to run the pwmconfig script. Not sure why.
I run Arch and Mint ‘Maya’ with the new KDE. I just reinstalled both because I put another harddrive in.
Now I know that with Maya before reinstalling the fan would calm down after I logged into Gnome. On Arch it just keeps going at full tilt.
I’ve googled around like a madman but keep running down dead ends on this.
Any success stories on folks getting this to work? Anyone have a good HOWTO they swear by?
Please help.

Fan Control doesn’t work pwmconfig returns no pwm-capable sensor modul

Fancontrol doesn’t work on my laptop.

#pwmconfig gives me this:

According Tip and Tricks.

Create a file in /etc/sensors.d/:

/etc/sensors.d/fan-speed-control.conf
chip «coretemp-isa-*»
set fanX_div 4
Replacing coretemp-isa- with name of the chipset and X with the number of the CPU fan to change.

My question is how to known which chipset do I own ?

fan_speed_control#lm-sensors refers to configuring lm-sensors which would include detecting available modules.

fan_speed_control#lm-sensors refers to configuring lm-sensors which would include detecting available modules.

But, it doesn’t detect my fan RPM rate and so it can’t take control of fan tuning.

Your initial post provided no information on what you had done before running pwmconfig apart from referencing fan_speed_control#Increasing_fan_div.
Your response still has not provided any information on what modules have been detected, what modules you believe should be detected, which fans are using PWM, what the current output of sensors is and what you believe it should be.
