Better then Gliffy

Overall I’m liking it a lot more than Gliffy, although it has some quirks and rough edges. It’s nice to be able to draw connecting lines without having to select a separate tool, and symmetrical resizing by holding the option key is great. Option-dragging to duplicate would be great if it didn’t also duplicate the lines attached to an object. Undo really needs work, it just seems like a lot of actions cannot be undone. I like to work on an unlimited canvas size as my charts will never be printed, but creating a custom page size is an OK workaround for the fact that the canvas size is equal to the page setup page size. I wish that text for connecting lines would either create a mask over the line or default to being next to the line instead of on top of it, as having to drag every line label to the side after creating it is a pain.

Maybe I am not such an extensive user and need only to show flow charts to my students of their JavaScript programs, BUT. whatever I need it does and perfecly well. I can even export a transparent PNG. And all this is for free!

This is awesome!

I have been searching for an app to make flow charts. It seems like it should be an easy thing to do but this is the first one I have used that has actually worked. Its so simple and the learning curve is really short. Great app. I am looking into the paid version. The developer has given so much in the free version I am having a hard time finding a reason to upgrade. I intend to upgrade anyway just to support the developer.

Works well but does NOT auto save documents

Nice simple but capable app. Lost a few hours work as the app didn’t auto save, nor asked me to save on (normal) system shutdown. This is a nasty bug which should be fixed; otherwise would have been higher rating.

Great Basic Flowchart App

Basic flowchart app thats easy and intuitive to use. Has a learning curve flatter than UK productivity after Brexit. I needed a MAC replacement for Visio and this does the job very well. I personally never used 90% of the features in Visio and I suspect neither did a lot of people so, for people like me, this app hits the spot. Want to create a flowchart for a web app? Want to resize or keep the scale? Want to add text to the shapes? Want to add a bit of text on its own? Bish bash bosh…its done. Also its free so what else can you ask for?

Perfect little app for program flowcharting

It is not often that you find a fully functional app for free. It is very easy to use and produces great looking flowcharts.

The work-area is pixel-based which might cause some issues for printing. However, in my setup it was easy to tell the printer to fit to an A4 page and the output was perfect.

I liked the ability to add text to all the graphics and apply colours to both text and graphics.

Buyer Beware

I purchased this app a couple of weeks ago. It does what I need and is reasonably intuitive, but the GUI is underdeveloped. For instance, when cloning an object (duplicate command) the clone appears randomly on the workspace. I would enable a click drag method so that users can place the clone without having to find it.

Much of the negative feedback I’ve seen here is not deserved, but users need to notice that the last version update was in August of 2016. I have sent in many enhancement requests and there is no response of any kind from the developer. I suspect that this is a dead platform that the developer has abandoned. I hope that this is not the case.

I think the Apple app store is doing an extremely poor job of ensuring the sustainability of applications. If an app does not progress in versions and remains static over time it should be taken down from the app store, particularly when the application involves a purchase. When an app is posted for the first time there is no way to know if the developer will do the work of improving the application. Developers should be given a window of time to improve, but after that, the app should not stay on the app store, particularly when many users are reporting issues. I would make it a mandatory requirement to have applications updated at least annually.

Looks fine on the surface

This app looks fine on the surface, but I found a few notable flaws for what I needed it for: There was a button to change the background text, but it didn’t work. Though I was selecting “background,” it kept changing the color of the text and would reset to an ugly gray background after clikcing out of the box. I spent more than fifteen minutes trying to make this basic function work to no avail. I also was unable to add a border to photos. The app looked like it was going to be perfect for what I wanted to do, but without these functions, I was very disatistifed. I do not recommend this app. Though the app is written in English, the website only has a page written in English with basic instructions and no clear way to contact the developer to seek help.

Dont buy this app

I purchased this app out of desperation and man I am regretting it right now. Really not intuitive for something as simple as a flowchart creator. The undo command is a nightmare, every time I undo something my chart just falls appart, begins collapsing and deleting unrelated things in the chart. It hard to find things like customizing connectors. Scolling doesnt work very good. If I scroll a shape down the whole page begins to scroll. Continue searching for another flowchart app, trust me.
