D2XX Direct Drivers

D2XX Drivers

D2XX drivers allow direct access to the USB device through a DLL. Application software can access the USB device through a series of DLL function calls.

The functions available are listed in the D2XX Programmer’s Guide document which is available from the

Documents section of this site.

Programming examples using the D2XX drivers and DLL can be found in the Projects section of this site.

Missing FTD2XX.DLL after installing Windows 10

I have just installed the free upgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 10

I have come to open one of my programs and I am getting Missing FTD2XX.DLL and the program will not open !

Can anyone offer any advise please

This might have caused due to program compatibility or .dll file related issues. I would like to know some information about this issue so that we could assist you further.

1. Is this issue confined to any specific program or with all programs?

2. Have you made any changes to the computer after installing Windows 10?

I suggest you to try the following methods and check if it works for you.

Method 1:

Run the System File Checker scan (SFC) and check if it helps. This scan will help you find and replace missing or corrupted System Files.

Method 2:

Install the program in compatibility mode and check if the issue persists. This is to check if this is caused due to any compatibility issues.

Refer to the following Windows 8 article to install program in compatibility mode, the steps for Windows 8.1 applies to Windows 10 as well.
