Question

I’m using the FTP.exe from Windows with a txt file : ftp-s:c:\ftp.txt, insique a batch file.

And I try to copie (put) a file (ZIP) to a FTP server ( vsFTPd ) and the results are :

+ open : OK
+ login : OK
+ password : OK
+ bin : OK
+ literal pasv : OK
+ put fic.zip : failed with 2 error messages : 500 Illegal PORT command. 425 Use PORT or PASV first.

Then, I can’t transfer the file through a script.
I can use FileZilla with success.
Is there a wrong configuration inside the FTP client ?

Answers

Well, in fact, the problem is on the firewall, but it seems not possible to update the rule on it.

Then, it seems also that the command FTP.exe is not able to enter in passive mode, even if «literal pasv» is done. It’s like a bug . in fact, the server doesn’t accept this command.

With other FTP tools, the problem doesn’t exist because the server approve the command, like Unix command, «passive».

All replies

After many searchs on Google .
I find many issueS related to this problem with many OS (Windows and Linux).
It seems that vsFTPd is the root of the problem . like something a wrong configuration . related to PASSIV MODE and PASSIV PORT AND PASSIVE IP . etc.
With other type of FTP server, there is no problem.

I try :
literal pasv
quote pasv
quote pasv off
quote stor
. without success .

Please seek help from iis forum(http://forums.iis.net/ ) or else wait until some of our moderator move this post to concerning forum.Thankyou for understanding.

Hello,
My point of view, there is no link between the FTP.exe (on Windows client) and IIS.
And the FTP server is a linux server.

I also meet this issue, are you resolve it ?

I try more,but can`t resolve it。

and it`s not look like issue about the firewall, because other of my server(Windows server 2008) can do it,so,I do`t know how to do?

when I enter remote Liunx sever with ftp,but it`s not responding when I use ll or mput ,just like below

200 PORT command successful. Consider using PASV.
