When reporting this package as outdated make sure there is indeed a new version for Linux Desktop. You can have a look at the «Stable updates» tag in Release blog for this. Do not report updates for ChromeOS, Android or other platforms stable versions as updates here.
This package will automatically get updated as soon as the Debian package is available. This is checked at least once per hour.

Thanks for updating!

@FabioLolix Thanks for the ping! I suppose I marked that read, got distracted and never re-visited that PR… I’m very sorry about that! Will take care about it this evening!
FabioLolix commented on 2021-10-05 20:45
Hello, do you mind adding a copy of widevine license in the default place? The PR have been open for 10 months yet is so trivial, since I made the PR you made part of it (replacing msg2 with printf), just copy the other 2 line too

If you’re having trouble with «use system titlebar and borders» setting, you can just wait for patch to come. For details, please refer to https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/3133066

Since version 92/93 I’ve been having 5-second freezing issues on AMD iGPU Ryzen 4000. Does anyone know how to fix this? I’ve tried disabling all hardware acceleration but it doesn’t help.

Thanks @zeparu, I have the same problem with titlebar. Disabling this flag restores titlebar in Plasma, however, the whole option of turning SSD on/off is gone. It works for me, but the underlying issue is still there. The option stopped working.

just updated today, and «use system titlebar and borders» is not working anymore for me on kde

Установка Chrome в Ubuntu 20.04
sudo dpkg -i —force-depends google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb
sudo dpkg -i —force-depends google-chrome-unstable_current_amd64.deb
sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get install libxss1 libgconf2-4 libappindicator1 libindicator7
Google Chrome Ubuntu 18.04.

Install older versions of google-chrome-stable, on ubuntu 14.10
I am able to do,
This installs, chrome version 45 which does not support NPAPI plug-ins that is needed to run java inside browser.
I am trying to move one or two versions older, so that i can use this feature, but there is no info on net available.
In the meanwhile,
shows only chrome 45.
Does it mean, chrome doesn’t allow people to use older versions?
Note: people suggesting me to use firefox for java plugin will get -ve points

I know this question is a bit old, but in case you came here willing to do this from the terminal, you can use this command:
You’ll need to replace $
For those wanting to do it in a Dockerfile, you can use this:
There you can found older versions. Just download the .deb you need and install it.
You can’t, unfortunately. Google removes all but the latest version from the PPA and from their download site.
You’ll need to build your own repo of deb files to use when installing older versions.
Specific chrome browser versions are not possible using the official dl.google.com repository. Google removed old versions from the repository which leads to just have one available version (the stable), it can be also a APT issue.
This is sad because developers use specific browser drivers compatible with required chrome version. In my case the CI always fails once in a weak because google removes specific versions from the repository. really really sad T.T
The only way I found to install older version of chrome for Linux (Ubuntu), was to find the full version from here:
For example, we want to install Major Version: 85.0

I am looking for older versions of Google Chrome Stable. Now, older versions for Windows are available easily but I need it for Linux, preferably Debs not RPMs. As far as the versions are concerned, I am more specifically looking out for versions 17.0+. As in, versions older than 17 are also required but versions including 17 and after 17 are a must.
Where can I get Chrome’s stable older versions?
Note: We need Chrome here not Chromium. Even though Chrome comes out of the Chromium project, but you can never be sure as to what additions/changes have been made to Chromium’s code in Chrome. So what we need is Chrome, not Chromium.

Here is the best mirror I have found so far for google-chrome-stable for RPM-based systems.
Try searching google using the «inurl:» option to find an unofficial mirror:
Google Prompt: inurl:/deb/pool/main/g/google-chrome-stable/
Mirrors pop up and go away from time to time—Not sure why, but nothing seems to stick with the 3rd party mirrors. Maybe it’s a legal issue, or maybe it’s just a ploy to get everyone to upgrade for better or for worse. It’s kindof a pain, and I’m kicking myself now for cleaning up the /var/cache/apt/archives folder.
You can also google search specific known file names for the deb packages from the local package cache and get some hits for other mirrors with other files—The web download from Google gives you an installer without a version number in the file name, but the full file name shows up in the local apt cache. Using a random file name from the local apt cache will give you better results than copying and pasting an example name from a blog or from a known mirror with a limited version history.
Use the Gentoo checksums which pop up in the file name searches when obtaining the installers from untrusted sites or use the file names that the manifests provide to search for the version that you want.

Linux Software Repositories
Overview
Google’s Linux software packages will automatically configure the repository settings necessary to keep your Google Linux applications up-to-date. Please download and install packages from the appropriate product pages.
The Linux Package Signing Keys
Google’s Linux packages are signed with GNU Privacy Guard (GPG) keys. Google’s packages will automatically configure your package manager to verify product updates with the public signing key, but you may also install it separately if, for instance, you want to verify the integrity of an initial package download. Follow the instructions below to manually configure your package manager to use the keys.

Command line key installation for APT
On an APT-based system (Debian, Ubuntu, etc.), download the key and then use apt to install it.
Recent versions of apt-get will automatically attempt to verify packages on download. If an appropriate key is not found or if the package is corrupted, you will get a message like the following:
Command line key installation for RPM
On an RPM-based system (Fedora, SUSE, Mandriva, RHEL, etc.), download the key and then use rpm to install it.
You can verify the key installation by running:
To manually verify an RPM package, you can run the command:
