Hearthstone deck tracker linux

Arena Tracker is a deck Tracker for Hearthstone with arena in focus. It has a free and a premium version that you can unlock by becoming a patron (3$/month). Learn the difference between the two here.

Join our community at the Arena Tracker subreddit.

  • Tested on Windows 7/8/10
  • Tested on Mac OS X 10.11
  • Tested on Ubuntu/Linux Mint
    • You can downloading Arena.Tracker.X.Linux.zip or ArenaTracker.Linux.AppImage.
    • For Arch Linux users there’s a package in AUR maintained by Strit.
    • If you’re having problems running HS with AT on linux, HS dont accept mouse clicks, try Windowed (virtual desktop) option and it will work perfectly. You can do it easily with lutris.

Extract the zip wherever you want and double click the executable, no installation required. (If you want to run it from a terminal don’t use sudo.)

Data used by Arena Tracker will be stored in USER/Arena Tracker (Windows/Mac) or USER/.local/share/Arena Tracker (Linux) with this structure

Arena Tracker will need to download all Hearthstone card images onto Hearthstone Cards dir. This is done in the background while you use it. You don’t need to wait, start your draft or your next game, AT will know what to do.

On Windows and Mac: Arena Tracker setup is done automatically unless you didn’t install Hearthstone in its default dir. In that case the first time you run Arena Tracker you will be asked for several dir/files. Check this.

On Linux: Arena Tracker will try to find Hearthstone dir automatically using the command find (Only your HOME dir will be searched). This process can take several minutes, I suggest you to empty your trash bin before, to make it short. If it doesn’t success it will ask you to find some dir/files, check this.

If AT doesn’t react to what you do in HS, you can try to manually configure HS log like this.

If you have problems installing it or using it I’m happy to help you on reddit.

[Linux / Wine] Hearthstone Deck Tracker Asking for .Net 4.7 and then Failing to Start #4055

Comments

nebcanuck commented May 1, 2020 •

Bug report

Expected Behavior

I expected HDT to continue to work as it was previously.

Actual Behavior

Earlier this week it updated and asked me to install .Net 4.7. I did (using winetricks) and upon relaunching a black box popped up that’s titled «crash report» in my task manager. After closing this crash report HDT fails to start. When attempting a fresh install in a clean Prefix, the same request for .Net 4.7 is made and the same crash occurs upon launching.

Steps to reproduce behavior

This has become the new default state of my Hearthstone Deck Tracker. Any time I try to open it I get the same crash dialogue. Any time I try and do a fresh install I get asked to install .Net 4.7 and then see the same crash dialogue.

Have you tried installing 4.7.2 via Wine? That’s the exact .NET Framework version HDT is targeting now.

4.7.2 is what I installed via winetricks, if that’s what you mean.

CharString commented May 2, 2020

I get a bunch of parse_url errors.. and

0009:fixme:ras:RasEnumConnectionsW (06B148B8,0032D1C8,0032D1CC),stub!
0009:fixme:ras:RasEnumConnectionsW RAS support is not implemented! Configure program to use LAN connection/winsock instead!

I suspect this is at the core of the problem.

riQQ commented May 2, 2020

@KEKW666 and @shagreeb please open separate issues. This is about Linux / Wine

I asked, because in your opening post you said you installed 4.7

ivonindza commented May 2, 2020

I have the exact same problem. I’m running wine 4.21-staging and installed .NET 4.7.2 through winetricks. It looks the same when I start HDT — a black box in the upper left corner and when I close it (clicking where x should be) wine closes.

Makes sense! I said that because that’s what the installer asks for. I tried 4.8 first, then 4.7.2, then when that still didn’t work I tried 4.7.1 and it told me it needed newer than that, as you said. Currently I have 4.7.2 installed and am still getting the black box.

riQQ commented May 2, 2020

Looks like Wine either can’t handle a .NET 4.7.2 WPF application or the updated dependencies of HDT don’t work with Wine.

htam-net commented May 3, 2020

I have the exact same problem. I’m running wine-staging 5.7 I have both .Net 4.7.2 and 4.8 installed through winetricks

Looks like it is related to this: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45871. There are some workarounds there that might help you.

htam-net commented May 3, 2020

I tried setting up d3dcompiler_47 to builtin as indicated in the bug report : no sucess, HDT still crashes AND battle.net client remains completely white.
Setting the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Avalon.Graphics\DisableHWAcceleration to 1 : HDT launches (and as a bonus I can see the logo at the beginning) and works. BUT playing on hearthstone is way too slow.

htam-net commented May 3, 2020

I mean . Playing hearhtstone is merely impossible when overlay is active.

Actually, this solves the problem for me! Admittedly, I play with Card Tooltips disabled, which I always find makes it a bit laggier than I like, but in terms of letting me install and run the app, uploading replays, and having the overlay while playing, it seems to have fixed my problem!
