Адаптер VCSD (VAG-COM) HEX-CAN 11.11.3 позволяет диагностировать авто до 2013г. выпуска. Существует несколько разновидностей данного кабеля. Отличаются они чипом на котором собран адаптер.

Внимание! Адаптеры рассчитаны именно на те версии, с которыми поставляются. Более поздние версии убивают адаптеры!

Почему это происходит? Каждый шнурок при производстве обучают обманывать только определенную версию п.о.(обычно последнюю, самую стабильную или менее защищенную). В свою очередь, производитель Ross-Tech в новые версии программы встраивает механизмы, определяющие «адаптер-клон» и стирающие его память(убивающие его).

Что бы определить чип на котором собран адаптер, достаточно его разобрать и прочитать маркировку микросхем.

По отзывам кабель на данном чипе работает довольно стабильно. Основным его недостатком является отсутствие п.о. на русском языке.

Внимание! П.О. для данного кабеля на русском языке нет и не будет. Если это критично то лучше приобрести более дорогие аналоги «Вася» или «Автоадаптер».

Отмечу, что лучше пользоваться п.о. на ENG — будет проще работать с другими программами у которых русификации вообще нет. Тем более всегда можно обратиться к инструкции VAG Com.

Кабель, программа, подключение.

1. Подключаем кабель к ПК.

2. Заходим в Диспетчер устройств. Видим неизвестное устройство Ross-Tech HEX USB. Щелкаем по нему правой кнопкой мыши — выбираем «Обновить драйверы. «. Указываем путь к скачанным драйверам.

3. После успешной установки драйвера в разделе «Контроллеры USB» появится новое устройство Ross-Tech Direct Interface.

4. Устанавливаем программу VCDS-Release-11.11.3 (dr.Web может поругаться на вирусы, игнорируем).

5. Запускаем программу. при первом запуске все вкладки не активны. Выбираем Options.

6. Выбираем порт USB, нажимаем Test.

7. Если все прошло успешно — увидим окно. Далее обязательно нажимаем Save.

8. Теперь все вкладки активны, можно приступать к диагностике авто.

Virtual COM Port Drivers for Ross-Tech USB Interfaces

Older Ross-Tech RS-232 Serial interfaces can be set to power up as «dumb K-Line pass through» interfaces. This allowed those old Serial interfaces to be compatible with a wide variety of third-party applications which expect a «K-line pass-through» serial interface. However, our USB interfaces present additional challenges. Early in their development, we found a number of technical advantages to using a «direct» USB driver which bypasses the Windows Serial drivers entirely. Hence the USB drivers that ship with VCDS do not emulate a serial COM port and cannot be used with applications that expect to communicate via a serial port.

NOTE: The following applies to our legacy USB interfaces (HEX-USB, KII-USB and HEX-USB+CAN). It does NOT apply to our current HEX-V2 or HEX-NET interfaces. These new interfaces do not use a USB UART chip and cannot be be used for «dumb K-line pass-through»!

In order to facilitate the use of third-party applications which expect to communicate with a serial interface, drivers that emulate a COM port are available. However, anyone thinking about using them needs to be aware of the following points:

We do not offer installation support for these drivers. They should be used only by someone who is competent/comfortable installing (and possible uninstalling) USB drivers on his PC.

We cannot offer any support for third-party software, nor any guarantee that it will work correctly with these drivers. Of course, the same would apply with a serial interface as well.

That said, here some installation notes:

These drivers are compatible with Windows 2000 and newer. They should work with W2K, XP-32, XP-64, Vista-32 and Vista-64. We do not have any VCP drivers for Windows 98!

Unzip the contents of the download into a new folder.

With an interface plugged in, find it in Device Manager, right-click it, and select Update Driver.

Depending on what drivers your system already has installed, you may have to «force» these by telling the wizard not to search, but to let you specify what driver to install, then doing the Have Disk and Browse thing.

There’s also the possibility that the Virtual COM Port won’t install automatically. We’ve found no real pattern why it does on some systems and not on others. If it does not, find the interface in Device > Manager. The name should show «. with VCP». Open the properties sheet, click the Advanced tab, and make sure Load VCP is checked. Once checked, disconnect and re-connect the interface.

Once the USB Serial Port is installed, you may need to change the COM Port Number (depending on how high a number the applications supports). Device Manager, Properties sheet for the USB Serial Port, Port Settings tab, Advanced button. The COM Port Number may change if you plug the interface into a different USB port, so I’d recommend always using the same USB port.

VCDS should continue to work fine with these drivers installed. Leave VCDS set to USB, not a Virtual COM Port!

This interface comes with an OBD-II type connector which plugs right in to most 1994 and newer VW’s and 1996 and newer Audis. Most 1990-1995 Audis and 1990-1993 VW’s have the «2×2» data link connector, click here for more info.

This interface works with all diagnostic-capable VW, Audi, Seat, and Skoda models from 1990 through 2015.
It does NOT fully support the following vehicles:

We recommend at least a 1 GHz Pentium-3 (or AMD equivalent) with 128 MB of RAM and Windows XP or newer. Windows Vista, 7, 8. 8.1, or 10 on a machine robust enough to support the respective operating system are also fine. As of version 10.6, we no longer support Windows 95, 98, ME or NT4. If you’re using a PC that has a CPU speed less than 1 GHz and which has a Serial port, then you should consider the Serial HEX-COM+CAN instead.

Extending this Interface :

The cable on this interface is about 6 feet long — just right for most laptops. The USB standards do not allow for passive extension cords! We have tested many Active USB extensions and have found one that works. You can order the 16-ft Active USB Extension from our Store. We do not sell or support any other brands or models of USB extensions, if you have problems when using one, the first thing we’re going to tell you is to eliminate the extension.

If you plan to use a desktop PC, we recommend you buy a serial HEX-COM+CAN Interface instead.

This interface acts as a «dongle» for VAG-COM, so the software should be fully functional on any PC you use with the HEX-USB+CAN. However, product support is provided only to the original purchaser. If you buy a second-hand HEX-USB+CAN from someone and want support, you’ll still need to pay $99 to register.

This interface performs best with Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, or 10. It can be used with Windows 2000, but performance may be somewhat degraded if using Windows 2000 and compatibility with «difficult» control modules may be reduced.

This interface requires a special driver to be installed on your PC. It does not emulate a COM port. That means this interface will not work with any other software besides VCDS.

We do not sell any interface adapters as a «Stand-Alone» products. We only sell them with our VCDS software.

Ross-Tech can supply two different Interfaces (the hardware needed to connect a PC to your car).

Both of our current interfaces are universal on the car-side, supporting all VW/Audi Group passenger cars from 1996 to current including k-line and CAN-Bus diagnostics. Both will also work with many 1990-1995 (OBD-I) cars, but these may require the optional «2×2″cabling adapter.

Both interfaces can be plugged into any standard USB port on a PC. However the HEX-NET can also be used with VCDS wirelessly via WiFi, and it gives you access to VCDS-Mobile, while the HEX-V2 is strictly for use with VCDS on a Windows PC via USB.

This generation of interfaces is much faster on modern, CAN-based cars than any of our now discontinued legacy interfaces.
