MN Room No Window что это значит?
Приветствую, друзья! Попробуем разобраться, что представляет собой комната в отеле под таким названием, как MN Room No Window. В специальном описании гостиничных номеров ничего не сказано о типе такого жилья. Как вы думаете, почему? .
Маленький номер без окна
Если мыслить логически, то, пожалуй, оно не очень комфортное и мало привлекательное для туристов. Иначе чего бы умалчивать о такой категории комнат. Это сугубо мое мнение, . можно попробовать прояснить ситуацию и найти какие-либо факты, подтверждающие или опровергающие наши предположения.
О чем расскажет перевод MN Room No Window на русский язык?
Обратившись к Гугл переводчику, видим, что полностью словосочетание перевода не дает. По значению отдельных слов получаем такую картину — комната без окна. MN программа почему-то переводит как Миннесота. Думаю, один из американских штатов никакого отношения к типу номера не имеет. Поскольку MN похоже на сокращение или аббревиатуру, то программа и выдала такой ответ.
Посему можно сделать вывод, что MN Room No Window не что иное, как номер без окна. А MN скорее всего имеет отношение к площади. Наверняка она минимальная, поэтому обозначена MN.
Как вам такое размещение, если бы вы оказались на месте туриста? Мне никак. . Но у всех по-разному, да и комнаты, как выяснилось, бывают разные. Итак, что получилось в итоге с учетом наших небольших познаний, а также мнения туристов, которым довелось останавливаться в таком жилье:
- отсутствие в помещении окон;
- площадь очень маленькая;
- часто рядом находятся технические помещения;
- плохая звукоизоляция;
- затхлый воздух, сырость, плесень;
- искусственное освещение тусклое;
- загрязненный воздух из кондиционера.
Стоит ли соглашаться на номер без окон?
Мне бы он не подошел, если бы целью поездки был отдых. . Само собой разумеется, что стоимость комнаты более чем бюджетна. Но посещение другого государства может быть связано с другими делами, когда особо шиковать не приходится и речь идет исключительно о том, чтобы был уголок, где можно помыться, переночевать, чувствовать себя безопасно.
Часто при покупке тура показывают фото номера. Так вот оно может быть с окном, однако, по приезду откроется картина совсем другая. . Важно, чтобы человек заранее понимал, на что ему рассчитывать, соглашаясь на MN Room No Window.
Комната с окнами в коридор
Некоторым туристам, выбравшим данную категорию жилья, попадались комнаты с окнами. Но толку от этого никакого. Окна выходили:
- В коридор — там постоянно снуют люди и технический персонал.
- На парковку — огромное количество автомобилей.
- На крыши других домов — кровля, нагреваясь под солнцем, издает не только жару, но также дополнительные неприятные запахи.
- В стену другого дома — открыв окно, можно до него дотронуться рукой.
Не всегда все так плохо в номере без окна
В каждом отеле есть площадь, не очень привлекательная для постояльцев. Но поскольку коммерческие интересы заведения преследуют цель сделать полезным каждый квадратный сантиметр, то все же некондиционная площадь оборудуется под жилье.
В отелях, которые дорожат своей репутацией MN Room No Window может быть весьма приличной:
- Попросторнее, с хорошей мебелью и удобной кроватью.
- Исправной сантехникой, необходимыми ванными принадлежностями.
- Чистой постелью, свежим воздухом.
Только вот дневного света не будет. Для кого-то это приемлемо. Другой наотрез откажется жить, пусть даже короткое время, без дневного света и понимания, что там, за окном — солнце, дождь, ветер.
Психологически это очень сложно, тоскливо и печально. А жизнь ведь нам для радости дана, тем более на отдыхе.
Все хорошо. Но ни света, ни солнца. Окон нет.
Кстати, в России согласно СНиПам (строительным нормам и правилам) строительство отелей, в которых предполагаются номера без окон запрещено. Это грубое нарушение, которое может стать поводом для закрытия гостиницы.

Hotel Room Types
Room types according to accommodation
- Single – one room for accommodation of one person. The single bed.SGL abbreviation.
- Double – one room for two. There may be one large bed or two different beds (double twin) in the room. DBL, DBL TWN abbreviations.
- Triple – a room for three persons. Usually there are two beds and one extra bed (a sofa or a folding bed) in the room. TRPL abbreviation.
- Extra Bed means an additional bed. Usually it can be found in combined variants: DBL+EXB, TRPL+EXB. EXB abbreviation.
- Child (Infant) stands for a child. From the age of twelve, a child usually is provided with an extra bed as an adult person. CHD abbreviation.
Combined accommodations
- Single rooms (SGL).
- Single rooms for one adult with a child (SGL+CHD), single room for one adult with two children (SGL+2 CHD).
- Double room (DBL).

Different Room Types in hotels
In hotels the rooms are categorised and priced according to the type of bed, number of occupants, number of bed, decor, specific furnishings or features and nowadays special even the special theme available in the room.
Later when assigning the guest room before the arrival of the guest the front desk agent must be aware of guest room characteristics for each room type available in the hotel. Following room type definitions are common in the hotel industry:
1) Single : A room assigned to one person. May have one or more beds.
The room size or area of Single Rooms are generally between 37 m² to 45 m².
2) Double : A room assigned to two people. May have one or more beds.
The room size or area of Double Rooms are generally between 40 m² to 45 m².
3) Triple: A room that can accommodate three persons and has been fitted with three twin beds , one double bed and one twin bed or two double beds.
The room size or area of Triple Rooms are generally between 45 m² to 65 m².
4) Quad : A room assigned to four people. May have two or more beds.
The room size or area of Quad Rooms are generally between 70 m² to 85 m².
5) Queen : A room with a queen-sized bed. May be occupied by one or more people.
The room size or area of Queen Rooms are generally between 32 m² to 50 m².
6) King: A room with a king-sized bed. May be occupied by one or more people.
The room size or area of King Rooms are generally between 32 m² to 50 m².
7) Twin: A room with two twin beds. May be occupied by one or more people.
The room size or area of Twin Rooms are generally between 32 m² to 40 m².
8) Hollywood Twin Room: A room that can accommodate two persons with two twin beds joined together by a common headboard. Most of the budget hotels tend to provide many of these room settings which cater both couples and parties in two.

9) Double-double: A Room with two double ( or perhaps queen) beds. And can accommodate two to four persons with two twin, double or queen-size beds.

10) Studio : A room with a studio bed- a couch which can be converted into a bed. May also have an additional bed.
The room size or area of Studio room types are generally between 25 m² to 40 m².
11) Suite / Executive Suite: A parlour or living room connected with to one or more bedrooms. (A room with one or more bedrooms and a separate living space.)
The room size or area of Suite rooms are generally between 70 m² to 100 m².
12) Mini Suite or Junior Suite: A single room with a bed and sitting area. Sometimes the sleeping area is in a bedroom separate from the parlour or living room.
The room size or area of Junior Suites are generally between 60 m² to 80 m².
13) President Suite | Presidential Suite: The most expensive room provided by a hotel. Usually, only one president suite is available in one single hotel property. Similar to the normal suites, a president suite always has one or more bedrooms and a living space with a strong emphasis on grand in-room decoration , high-quality amenities and supplies, and tailor-made services (e.g. personal butler during the stay).
The room size or area of Presidential Suites are generally between 80 m² to 350 m².
14) Apartments / Room for Extended Stay: This room type can be found in service apartments and hotels which target for long stay guests. Open kitchens, cooking equipment, dryer, washer etc. are usually available in the room. Housekeeping services are only provided once in a week or two times in a week.
The room size or area of Serviced Apartments are generally between 96 m² to 250 m².
15) Connecting rooms : Rooms with individual entrance doors from the outside and a connecting door between. Guests can move between rooms without going through the hallway.

16) Murphy Room: A room that is fitted with a sofa bed or a Murphy bed (i.e. a bed that folds out of a wall or closet) which can be transformed from a bedroom in the night time to a living room in daytime.

17) Accessible Room / Disabled Room: This room type is mainly designed for disabled guests and it is required by law that hotels must provide a certain number of accessible rooms to avoid discrimination.

18) Cabana : This type of room is always adjoining to the swimming pool or have a private pool attached to the room.

22) Executive Floor /Floored Room: A room located on the ‘executive floor’ which enables convenient access to the executive lounge. Besides, some hotels also provide ‘female executive floors’ with their rooms assigned to female guests only due to safety and security reasons.

23) Smoking / Non-Smoking Room: Many hotels provide both smoking and non-smoking rooms for their guests. In order to minimize the effects of secondhand smoke exposure on non-smoking guests.
