HATCH SEALS
As boats age, rubber window seals deteriorate. If there is a leak around the opening of your hatch, then you can buy a replacement seal. However, if the leak is between the glass and the frame, this seal cannot be replaced as the glass is sprung into the frame during the manufacturing process.
Our hatch seal will only fit Houdini hatches. Identifying features are ‘Houdini’ on the hinge or the glass logo. Very old hatches, particularly those with a slam bar will show ‘Essex Aluminium’. To ensure it is a Houdini hatch, please email a photograph of your hatch to us.

HOUDINI DECK HATCHES
The world renowned and instantly recognisable Houdini deck hatch has been in production for over fifty years.
Our hatches are robustly constructed using quality materials and are fitted with toughened glass. When compared to acrylic glazing, used in most deck hatches, toughened glass will not scratch as easily or suffer UV degradation.
With an above deck height of a mere 25mm these hatches are extremely streamlined and cause minimum obstruction on the deck.
Our standard hatches are silver anodised, however frames can also be black or gold anodised, or powder coated to a specific colour.
Houdini hatches are CE marked for compliance with the ISO12216 standard.

Significant investment was made in a 3D design drawing package that we customised to suit our product portfolio. This allows us to enter window/door dimensions and automatically generate drawings for the factory, glass suppliers and customers who require cutting patterns.
Houdini are proud of our speciality in tailoring aluminium framed windows, doors and hatches to customers’ specific requirements.
We are famously renowned for our unique Houdini Super 50 Deck Hatch. Thanks to the distinctive aluminium bars protecting the glass, the Houdini hatch is instantly identifiable in most of the world’s marinas.

Our extensive knowledge of the marine environment coupled with over 50 years’ experience, allows Houdini Marine Windows Ltd to understand that shape and styling are vital for the overall aesthetic finish. We specialise in designing and developing products that can
be used in worldwide vessels ranging from large passenger ferries and all types of

Although we work predominantly in the marine industry, we are able to design products for
non-marine applications. We work with architects and designers to create designs for
