1. Applying Baking soda

Yes, you can use baking soda as a glass polishing compound. To use baking soda in removing scratches, first wash the window using a clean cloth and warm water. Ensure to use a neat fabric so that you don’t introduce debris or further scratches due to dirt on it.

Get a tablespoon of baking soda and water, and then mix them in a bowl. Ensure the container you use is clean, so you don’t include impurities in the mixture as this could result to more scratches.

3. Buffing with Toothpaste

After each application, rinse the glass, and if scratch persists, apply toothpaste again. Rub the spot in a circular motion for 30 seconds.

After you have completed the exercise with positive results, use a damp cloth to wipe off the toothpaste. Your glass should shine bright.

4. Applying Nail polish on Scratches

For this method, you would need nail polish, nail polish remover, an applicator, and a damp cloth. Ensure you clean the glass using a clean damp cloth.

Also, make sure you use a nail polish that is clear and devoid of any pigmentation or coloring for this process. Most nail polish comes with an applicator, so there is no need to use your finger for this process.

Dip the applicator into the bottle of nail polish. Afterward, use it to apply the polish over the scratch. The polish would seep into the scratch once it drops on it. Leave the polish on the scratched glass spot for 1 hour, so it set in well.
