Install HP Wireless Button Driver for cNB ?

I have a new HP laptop:

HP ENVY x360 — 15-bp051nr Product number: 1KS74UA#ABA

and I am working to get up-to-date on my HP Support Assistant prompted updates, etc.

One of the items I am being promped for is:

HP Wireless Button Driver for cNB
Softpaq number: SP80964 Version: 1.1.19.1Ap1 Size 3.9MB

I am unfamiliar with this, so here are my questions, from the beginning:

What exactly is an «HP Wireless Button»?
What does it do?
Where is it found?
Does my machine have one?
What is «cNB»?

Do I already have a version of «HP Wireless Button Driver» installed?
If so, where would I look to see the version of the current installation?
If so, Is there something insufficient or incorrect about my current version?
Should I be observing some sort of a problem before choosing to install this new driver version?

HP Support Assistant Related

If I choose the trash can for an item in HP Support Assistant, will I ever again be prompted about that version of that item?

If I choose the trash can for an item in HP Support Assistant, will I be prompted in the future about even newer versions of that item? (as in, a new release to fix newly discovered issues)

If I do choose to install an item in HP Support Assistant, will that always work from my «normal» login account (which is an Administrator account), or do I sometimes need to be logged into the Administrator account specifically to succeed?

Does the initial install of Win 10 Home 64b that came on the machine represent a collection of HP Softpaqs?
If so, can I find a list of those initial Softpaqs and their versions?

I don’t like to mess with drivers willy-nilly — my experience is that doing so can cause time-consuming difficulties.
My goal is a fully correctly functioning system without un-necessary and/or un-used software installed on it.
I will appreciate the effort to address these admitedly detailed questions. It will go a long way towards helping me to avoid problems now and later.

The package provides the installation files for HP Wireless Button Driver version 1.1.7.1.

HP ENVY Sleekbook 6-1111nr: I need Wireless Button Driver for Win 7. Help me please.

What’s going on? There is no driver for the wireless button as such. Fn + f12 is the button combination and the light should come on. It ought to turn the wireless on and off. But here is a link to ALL the available drivers, which are for Win8, not Win7:

All I can suggest is to try the QuickLaunch driver for a recent similar HP laptop that came with Windows 7:

You might have to force the installation or run the setup in compatibility mode. However, if Quicklaunch is not working you will usually have an exclamation mark in the device manager for an unknown device with hardware ID ACPI\HPQxx.

Also you can try uninstalling the keyboard driver and let it reload upon a reboot

HP has put out a specific plea that you not downgrade the Windows 8 machines to Windows 7 and has warned that you will have problems and I guess you are proof. I see the Windows 8 drivers include a «Wireless Button Driver» which I have never seen before. Must be something new in Windows 8. Do you have an unknown device in device manager?

Компания HP разработала данный драйвер под различные операционные системы, чтобы пользователь мог использовать преимущества своего ноутбука не зависимо от версии и разрядности Windows.

Для Windows 7 х64 такой утилиты или драйвера вроде нет (если мы ошибаемся, напишите пожалуйста в комментариях). Должна работать комбинация клавиш Fn+F12.
