Icaros Shell Extensions – это программа, направленная в первую очередь на ценителей прекрасного, поскольку она отвечает не столько за изменение структуры файлов, сколько за их внешний вид. Он делает «среду обитания» видео и аудио файлов в расширениях MKV, MPC, M4V, APE и FLAC более симпатичной, превращая их из обычных значков в красивые миниатюры обложек музыкальных альбомов — в случае с аудиофайлами, а также в динамичные заставки из фильмов в виде эффектных кадров — для видеофайлов. Совместимость и требования

Icaros Shell Extensions не требует от Вашей операционной системы чего-либо сверхъестественного. Единым обязательным условием для всех пользователей является присутствие на стационарном компьютере или ноутбуке компонента .NET Framework 4.5. У пользователей Windows 8 и более актуальных ОС этот элемент предустановлен, потому загружать его дополнительно не нужно. С выходом Icaros Shell Extensions 2.2.3 разработчики также отказались от обязательной установки пакета VC++ на компьютер пользователя, что способствует меньшей нагрузке системы, а, следовательно, значительно повышает доступность данной утилиты для более слабых «машин».

Compared to Media Preview, this is much more updated, way faster in terms of thumbnailing and refreshing the thumbnail cache, and has a straightforward, more beautiful, and overall better UI as well. My main reason for switching to this is because Media Preview cannot handle VP9 at all. Consequently, when Media Preview attempts to generate a thumbnail for a VP9 video, accessing directories and files via File Explorer becomes virtually impossible. This is not the case for Icaros.

Works for everything I want it to except animated WEBP, works well for still WEBP but not animated.

This is awesome, works instantly. Fast and quick to install, no problems noticed. I tried Media Preview, but it would not display 4k mov files. This did everything before I even opened up explorer. Thanks!
