I am having a problem with this wireless card since upgrading to Windows 10 64bit as well, this is on a Dell Inspiron 14z. The problem seems to be it drops DNS since the error is DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET or another variant of that. When this error occurs all browsers stop working and internet is labeled as limited. After a minute or two the connection resumes. This has only started to happen since updating to Windows 10.
I have tried everything from applying static DNS setting in Windows and my router. Flushing DNS, resetting winsock among others, nothing seems to help and the problem returns. I have also noticed in the advanced tab of the device driver the dropdowns are all empty, there are no options in them.
Edit : I was just able to rollback the driver to the January 6, 2015 version 15.16.0.2 from the April 30 (?) version and the advanced settings came back. When I checked before I was not able to roll the driver back. I will monitor this version and see if the problem goes away.
There seems to be a bug with Windows 10 and this wireless adapter.

Step 2 — Install Your Driver
Once you have downloaded your new driver, you’ll need to install it. In Windows, use a built-in utility called Device Manager, which allows you to see all of the devices recognized by your system, and the drivers associated with them.
How to Open Device Manager
In Windows 10 & Windows 8.1, right-click the Start menu and select Device Manager

Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
Select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.
In most cases, you will need to reboot your computer in order for the driver update to take effect.
Tech Tip: Driver downloads and updates come in a variety of file formats with different file extensions. For example, you may have downloaded an EXE, INF, ZIP, or SYS file. Each file type has a slighty different installation procedure to follow.

Intel centrino wireless n-2230 will only work with specific driver version in WIN 8 x64 but not in WIn 10 x64
Using an HP Envy m6-1158CA with an Intel Centrino wireless n-2230 card.
On Windows 8.0 x64, using driver version Intel 15.5 or 15.10.x, I have no problems.
Any driver version higher than this and major problems. Have to keep resetting the adapter.
Which is making me believe that these drivers mentioned above are very plain in the way they have been written — on the safe side so to speak, with no bells and whistles OR they have been specifically written with certain wireless cards in mind, such as the Intel centrino wireless n-2230.
Problem is, Windows 10 does not have working drivers and neither does Intel.
I have decided to send my laptop into the shop for the card to be changed. If they give me another Intel centrino wireless n-2230, then I am bound to have the same problems barring my old card has started to have hardware failures.
Anyone care to comment on this?
I think my best course o action is to go with another wireless card OR wait until Intel corrects this problem in their next driver release (which is wishful thinking)

I already posted that info in the beginning of the email but here it is again:
Computer: HP ENVY m6-1158ca
I have been reading other people’s solutions to this problem and have found two solutions so far.
Solution #1: In IPv4 -> Advanced -> Metrics — Set interface metric to 1 instead f Automatic
Solution #2. In Advanced Power settings, set wireless adapter Power setting to MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE.
I am trying these two solutions right now to see if they work.
I updated my driver from 15.10.3.2 to 15.18 .0.1
The problem doesn’t exist with driver version Intel 15.10.3.2.
Seeing that I want to be able to use my wifi with Windows 10, then I have to use the latest Intel driver and try the above solutions as stated.
I’ll test it out and see what happens

This is a serious problem — the 2230 is NOT working with windows 10 — At least not consistently — which makes debugging this issue so frustrating — numerous wasted hours trying various configurations with absolutely NO reliability.
Too many driver changes and configuration modifications to list here but can somebody from Intel/Microsoft please look into this because as an IT admin, I can’t afford to update anymore systems until wifi connectivity works reliably.
Staying with win 7 pro for now until the powers that be, actually do something !

Well, I set the power settings for the wireless adapter to max performance from medium power saving and it worked!
Mind you I still sent my laptop to HP to change the card just to be on the safe side but I suggest you give that a try.
This solution works on Win 8.0 but theoretically it should work on Win 10.

HI — I had experienced the same problem. I have now adjusted the power settings in windows 10 and it seems to have resolved the issue. Previously the event viewer was repeating these messages:
The network interface «Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 2230» has begun resetting. There will be a momentary disruption in network connectivity while the hardware resets.
Reason: The network driver requested that it be reset.
This network interface has reset x time(s) since it was last initialized.
The description for Event ID 5005 from source NETwNe64 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 2230
The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file
Now it is clear. This is with driver 15.18.0.1.

I had the connectivity issues with windows 10 and the Intel Centrino wireless n adapter as well.
I went into device manager and disabled Bluetooth (which is handled by the same adapter) and after a reboot I have had no connectivity issues. Hope this helps!

I was having the same problem on my Dell Inspiron 5720 — Intel Centrino Wireless N-2230 Driver Version was 15.18._._ (Driver date was April 2015 — Don’t know what the last two version numbers were). The wireless signal would work for a few seconds at boot up, and then tell me there was no internet connection, or it would crash completely and tell me there was no drivers installed for the wireless card, or sometimes no wireless card installed at all!
For one solution to this, I went into Device Manager and clicked the Roll Back Driver button, since nothing else I had tried so far worked. After stalling the first time, and a reboot causing a blue screen, I tried it a second time and all is well so far. Wireless has been working for the past two hours and I was even able to watch 30 minutes of YouTube videos without any problems.
In short, rolling back the driver to 15.16.0.2 (Driver Date 1/6/2015) seems to have solved the wireless connectivity issues.
