All editions of Windows Server 2008 R2 are 64-bit only.
And based on MS official description about system requirement for Windows Server 2012/2012 R2, we may find out that they only has 64 bit OS.
Is there 32 bit windows server 2012
Question
Can we install windows server 2012 on a 32 bit laptop?
If the answer is No, could you please help me with the following question?
I want to get prepared for MCSE exams but I have a 32 bit laptop and I have to install server 2012. Is there any way to install some kind of virtual windows server 2012 on this laptop (32_bit), just to learn and to get prepared for the exams?
Is there any suggestion other that buying a new 64-bit laptop?

Probably not. See:
Processor performance depends not only on the clock frequency of the processor, but also on the number of processor cores and the size of the processor cache. The following are the processor requirements for this product:
- Minimum: 1.4 GHz 64-bit processor

You say «32 bit laptop» but most processors in machines over the last 4-5 years have in fact been 64bit though the OS might be 32bit. Can you give us some details on what kind of laptop you have and what processor is in it? You can run the program CPU-Z to identify what processor it is.
If it truly is a 32bit processor then you will have to upgrade as Server 2012 is 64 bit only and no way to install it on a 32bit platform.
Be kind and Mark as Answer if I helped.
All the processors after Pentium 4 D are 64bit . If you have a processor older than that , i think is no meaning to install windows 2012 to it.
You can use the Technet Virtual lab to use and learn a lot of microsoft products.

Not really true. A lot of Intel Atoms (tons of el cheapo laptops aka netbooks are using them) are 32-bit inly (forced by Intel I guess to avoid cannibalization process).
Actually, using your example of Atom processors it still holds true. Back in 2008 the Atom processors had the capability to run 64bit sets, NOW the motherboards might not of been able to but the processors were.

Not sure what you mean. Feature is turned OFF, they cannot run 64-bit code for a reason. Cannot run recent Windows Server 2012.
