My trick for uninstalling software that doesn’t come with an uninstaller, is first to use pacifist to see the content on the installation package to know what gets installed where and then manually delete stuff. Of course, pacifist will not show you files that are created after the installation (such as preference files and receipt packages). To find these, you either look for these if you know where they are and delete them, but a more efficient way is to do a deep searches that include words «spectrasonis», «omnisphere» (or whatever instrument), and «SAGE» or «STEAM» depending on the instrument installed. You can configure spotlight to do deep but it’s a bit tricky. I personally prefer using Easy Find which gives you the option to include hidden files and even package contents in your search. and it doesn’t even need an index to find stuff like spotlight does.

Of course, this is not necessary for all software. because not all software installs/creates so much stuff in your system.

To find the STEAM folder (Omnisphere Library), make sure the «Show Hidden Files» option has been checked on your computer. Otherwise, these invisible folders/files will get you lost. To uninstall Omnisphere 2 Library:

On Windows XP, the Spectrasonics folder is located here:
C:\Documents And Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spectrasonics

On Mac, the Spectrasonics folder is located here:
Macintosh HD/Users/ /Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics
