Перезагрузите ваш Mac.

Включите и подключите принтер.

Скачать этого файла.

Перейдите в / Library / Receipts (/ Library / Receipts) и удалите все файлы с HP 1020. Примеры включают «hp LaserJet 1020 Series.pkg».

Перейдите в Утилиту настройки принтера и удалите все файлы из HP 1020.

Запустите файл DMG. Он будет называться «hp Laserjet 1022 Series.pkg», но запускать его таким же образом.

Включите и подключите принтер.

Перейдите в Системные настройки> Печать и факс (Печать и факс).

Выберите HP LaserJet 1020. Если принтер не отображается в программе настройки принтера, вам может потребоваться выбрать «Обзор» в том же диалоговом окне и щелкнуть отображаемое имя HP1020.

Установка драйвера

Does anybody know if ther is en existing driver for Laserjet 1020 on mac OS 10.12.6 (Sierra).

I need it realy quickly.

Generally the HP Laserjet 1020 printer is not copatible with any Mac OS version as lsited below:

As a workaround you may install an alternate driver as following:

1. Connect the printer to your Mac and ensure it is power on and ready.
2. Download and install the following drivers from apple:
   https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1888?locale=en_US
3. Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
4. Click the plus sign and select the listed 1020 printer.
5. Within the Use drop down menu click on Select Printer Software.
6. Locate and select the HP Laseret 1022 model and press Add.

Now try printing with the newly created print queue.

This is the solution. Laserjet 1020 is working weel with the 1022 Driver.

I expected Appel or HP support centers to give me that great answer, but . nothing

I downloaded the print driver, but there are still no printers to choose from when I click the plus sign. It is all blank and I cannot type anything. Please help.

This is probably too late to help, and may not be a workaround that works for you, but .

I also have a very old HP LaserJet 1020. I had it running via USB on my MacBook last year, but after upgrading to OSX 13.4 it seems the compatibility is gone. Note that the driver I formerly used was labeled for a 1022, not 1020, but it worked. Anyway the printer no longer shows up in my list of printers. I tried following Shlomi’s post of 8/5/17 but like you, the list of printers was blank, and no way to select or define the HP.

I did a bunch of reading and have concluded that at the moment I can’t download a driver that allows a direct USB wired connection to my MacBook. maybe someone else figured that out.

I did read about AirPrint. I unhooked my HP 1020 and plugged it in with the USB to the port on my Apple Airport Extreme. After that, under system preferences and click +, the HP 1020 appears as a choice as a Bonjour printer. No other drivers needed . works fine.

If you want to purchase a copy of full copy of a current or recent Windows OS and install it under BootCamp, you can use the available Windows drivers with Windows programs.

Is there a chance that HP will develop an OS X driver for it? No.
Why? The HP 1020 printer dates from 2005 or perhaps earlier. I understand that you already own it, but HP is pretty adamant about NOT supporting Mac OS X for this device: «We have received inquiries about Macintosh support for the HP LaserJet 1018, LaserJet 1018s, LaserJet 1020, LaserJet 1020 Plus, LaserJet CP1215, and LaserJet CP1217 printers. The current HP LaserJet P1102W prints up to 1200×1200 resolution, is rated at 19ppm, has wireless capability and Mac OS X support for $149.

If $149 isn’t in your budget, you can find many good multifunction inkjet printers can SUPPORT OS X, scan, have ‘laser’ and color photo print quality and fast print speeds. Some also automatically duplex, some can fax, and a few can print wirelessly for $100 or less, so there are benefits to spending some money on a newer printer.
