Kega Fusion (also known as “Fusion” or “Kega II”) is a popular multi-system emulator for Windows OS with built-in support to faithfully reproduce home console titles from the retro 2D platforms of the 1980s and 1990s, directly on the screen of your PC desktop or laptop. Even though the space of retro emulators today is very crowded and full of competent contenders, It has managed to distinguish itself from the competition by placing very high importance of emulation accuracy, placing other features to the wayside. This includes the refusal to accept inaccurate rendering of visuals/audio just to be able to run the game faster, or inclusion of advanced features such as movie recording, netplay or tolerance of artificial gameplay lag.
Originally released to the public in 2004 with version v0.1 (which was an offshoot of the Kega Lazarus), Kega Fusion expanded its capabilities considerably during the remainder of the decade. By the spring of 2010 and the arrival of its final version (v 3.64), this emulator gained the capability to playback games released for the following platforms: Sega Mega Drive, Mega-CD, 32X, Master System, Game Gear, SG-1000, and SC-3000. In addition to the default sound synthesizer used for the audio reproduction of many Sega games, this emulator also has support for the YM2413 synthesizer found in the Sega Mark III. To achieve the best Mega-CD games emulation results, developers of this app highly recommend keeping the option “Perfect Sync” enabled during gameplay.
Today, years after its final version was released to the public, Kega Fusion remains one of the most accurate Sega Genesis emulators out there, with only a few games out of its large library unable to be played. Kega Fusion is fast, lightweight, and very accurate in rendering 2D classics, enabling anyone with at least a Pentium III processor to relive their gaming memories of the 1980s and 1990s gaming on their home PC.
How can I get Kega Fusion full screen mode working on Windows 10?
The Kega Fusion emulator full screen mode doesn’t work on Windows 10. When full screen mode is started around the half of the screen is in black and the game image is not centered. This is what I get:
I’ve been working on this for a while and I’m running out of options. I’ve tried tweaking all of Windows 10’s «compatibility settings», but nothing has worked thus far.
Does anyone have an idea for how to fix this?

STRATEGY:
We will make some configurations in Windows 10 using its available compatibility modes, configure Kega Fusion and configure and use a tool called DXWnd ( https://sourceforge.net/projects/dxwnd/ ).
WINDOWS 10:
Click with the second mouse button on the executable «Fusion.exe» and click on «Properties»
In «Fusion.exe Properties» window, in «Compatibility» tab, in «Compatibility mode» section, check «Run this program in compatibility mode for:» and select «Windows Vista (Service Pack 2)». In «Settings» section click on «Change high DPI settings» button.
In the second «Fusion.exe Properties» window, in «High DPI scaling override» section, check «Overrride high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by:» and select «System (Enhanced)».
Click «OK» and «OK» again.
NOTE: These settings are intended to improve performance and increase compatibility.
KEGA FUSION:
Open «Fusion.ini» file. In «Graphics Compatibility Options» section, enter value «0» for «ForceCompatibleGFX» parameter and enter value «1» for «ForceFullScreen32» parameter.
NOTE: Under certain circumstances (video hardware limitations?) Kega Fusion changes the «ForceCompatibleGFX» option to «1». When this occurs, the option «Full Screen Resolution» (see below) is unavailable. The option «ForceFullScreen32» with value «1» aims to improve video performance.
Open Kega Fusion, in menu, select «Video», «Full Screen Resolution» and check «1280×800».
Also in «Video» check «Fixed Aspect (Zoom)». «Fixed Aspect (Fit)» and «Nearest Multiple» must be unchecked.
TIP: Also in «Video» select «Window Size» and check «320×240». For some reason this improves video performance in full screen.
DXWND:
Open DXWnd, in menu, select «Edit» and click «Add».
In «Target #1» window, in «Main» tab, enter the name «Fusion364» in the «Name:» field and in the «Path:» field the path to «Fusion.exe» executable.
Also in «Main» tab, in «Generic» section, check «No banner».
Also in «Target #1» window, in «Video» tab, in «Window style» section, select «modal».
Also in «Video» tab, in «Window handling» section, check «Set DPI awareness» and uncheck «Emulate Win Maximize». In «Window size & position» section, select «Anchored».
In the main window, in menu, select «File» and click «Save».
USAGE:
To the scheme work you need to start DXWnd and then start Kega Fusion through the «Fusion364» icon in DXWnd window or just start DXWnd and with it running start Kega Fusion normally.

Скачиваем эмулятор Kega Fusion 3.64 по ссылке
Распаковываем архив Fusion364.zip в и запускаем файл Fusion.exe
В первую очередь настроим управление. Options – Set Config…
Нажимаем на кнопку Define и следуем указаниям внизу окошка. Press the key to use for UP – выбираем и нажимаем необходимую кнопку для действия Вверх, Press the key to use for DOWN — выбираем и нажимаем необходимую кнопку для действия Вниз и т.д. После этого нажимаем кнопку ОK.
Далее скачиваем ром игры NHL ’94 по ссылке
Для запуска игры в эмуляторе нажимаем File – Load Genesis / 32X ROM
и выбираем ранее скачанный ром игры NHL ’94, нажимаем кнопку Открыть.
Для игры по сети необходима программа Hamachi. Hamachi – это хост-служба VPN, позволяющая безопасно организовывать виртуальные ЛВС для распределенных командам, мобильных сотрудников и друзей по видеоиграм – в считанные минуты.
Скачиваем Hamachi 1.0.3.0 по ссылке. Новые версии Hamachi так же подойдут для сетевой игры.
При установке ставим галочку – Disable vulnerable Windows services over Hamachi.
Далее выбираем Use Hamachi with Non-commercial license
После установки запускаем Hamachi. В окошке Create an account вписываем свой nickname и нажимаем кнопку «Create».
После запуска программы видим пустое окно. Далее необходимо либо создать сеть, либо уже подключиться к созданной сети. Для создания сети нажимаем на Create or join networks – Create a new network ..
В поле Network name вводим имя создаваемой сети (любое имя), а в поле Network password – пароль, и нажимаем кнопку Create.
Для подключения игроков, к вашей созданной сети, необходимо сказать им имя сети и пароль.
Игра по сети в эмуляторе Kega Fusion
Создание сервера (игра дома)
Запускаем эмулятор Kega Fusion, открываем ром игры NHL ’94. Далее File – Netplay – Start Netplay Game.
Нажимаем кнопку Create. При необходимости, сообщаем сопернику имя и пароль сети в Hamachi, либо подключаемся к сети соперника.
Подключенный соперник отображается под цифрой 2, в скобках указан ping. Шкалу Latency ставим чуть больше среднего значения пинга и нажимаем кнопку Start.
Подключение к созданной игре (игра на выезде)
Запускаем эмулятор Kega Fusion, открываем ром игры NHL ’94. Далее File – Netplay – Join Netplay Game.
В поле Server вводим IP адрес игрока,
либо в Hamachi нажимаем правой кнопкой мышки по игроку – Copy address и вставляем в окне Join Netplay Game в строчке Server и нажимаем кнопку Join.
И ждем запуска игры от сервера.
Сохранение статистики после игры
После завершения матча, при появлении таблички лучших игроков, необходимо сохранить игру нажатием кнопки F5, либо File – Save State. Сохранить надо сразу при появлении лучших игроков матча. 
В правом нижнем углу окна эмулятора должна появиться надпись State Slot 0. 9 Saved — статистика успешно сохранена в папку эмулятора (по умолчанию). Файлы сохранений — NHL94.gs0. NHL94.gs9, расширение *.gs0. gs9 зависит от номера слота сохранения. Переключаться между слотами сохранений можно кнопками F6-F7. После первого матча не забывайте поменять слот сохранения (либо сразу перемещайте сохранение первой игры), так как после сохранения статистики второй игры, статистика первой игры перезапишется на статистику второй игры, если не сменить слот сохранения.
Если появится надпись ERROR Saving State!,
необходимо указать путь до места сохранения файлов сохранений. Нажимаем Options — Set Config.
выбираем вкладку Genesis и в строчке State Files, указываем реальный путь до папки для сохранений (по умолчанию папки эмулятора). После этого нажимаем кнопку Применить и ОК
