KeyFinder is an open source key detection tool, for DJs interested in harmonic and tonal mixing. It’s intended to be very focused: no library management, no track suggestions, no media player. Just a fast, efficient workflow tool. It supports a huge range of codecs thanks to LibAV, and writes to metadata tags using TagLib.

The accuracy of the algorithm is pretty good. Here’s a comparison with some other packages. I don’t claim that KeyFinder is better than other key estimation software, but it shows that the algorithm is in the same league as even the best paid alternatives.

I originally developed KeyFinder in 2011 as part of my MSc in Computer Science. The algorithms, design and implementation are described in some detail in my project report, which you can download, though it’s a bit heavy going.

Обзор KeyFinder

KeyFinder — это легкое и интуитивно понятное приложение, предназначенное для диджеев, поскольку оно может помочь вам определить музыкальную тональность аудиофайла, который можно использовать в различных операциях гармонического и тонального микширования.

Преимущества KeyFinder v1.25

С программой довольно просто работать, требуется только распаковать архив и запустить содержащийся в нем EXE-файл, без необходимости установки. Благодаря функции портативности KeyFinder можно разместить на любом USB-накопителе или аналогичном накопителе, что позволяет вам работать на любом компьютере, дома или на работе, без необходимости выполнять длительную операцию установки.

Более того, это означает отсутствие дополнительных записей в реестре в системе, в которой вы используете KeyFinder, а это означает, что вы можете просто удалить ее, удалив содержащую ее папку.

Простой и подробный анализ звука

Приложение имеет базовый и далеко не впечатляющий интерфейс, но это делает его вполне доступным для всех, независимо от уровня опыта работы с аналогичным ПО. Оно поддерживает операции перетаскивания, поэтому все, что вам нужно сделать, это перетащить аудиофайлы, которые вы хотите проанализировать, в главное окно KeyFinder, а затем нажать кнопку «Выполнить пакетный анализ». Оценка тональности будет отображаться в столбце «Обнаруженный ключ»(Detected key) вместе с другой информацией о вашей песне.

Поддерживаемые форматы

KeyFinder также имеет функцию «Подробный анализ», которая позволяет вам получить визуальное представление тональности вашей песни в «Цветах хроматограммы», которые вы можете выбрать из специального меню, а именно «Izo», «Mono», «Pred», «VBoy» и «Hack». Утилита поддерживает несколько аудиоформатов, например MP3, M4A, MP4, WMA, FLAC, AIF, AIFF и WAV, а также обеспечивает поддержку «Пользовательских кодов клавиш».

При желании KeyFinder позволяет настраивать параметры его работы. Однако рекомендуется изменять их только в том случае, если вы точно знаете, что делаете, иначе вы рискуете повлиять на их точность.

Mac Product Key Finder is freeware program for recovering lost product keys (or making backup before it is too late) for software installed on your Mac. This small tool will scan your macOS for installed applications and show your product keys (serial numbers). You can save this list to a file (HTML, XML, CSV, PDF and text file) or print it. • Apperture, Final Cut, Logic Studio and Roxio Toast Titanium are NOT supported by Free or Pro versions as well. These keys are also encrypted.
• Both Free and Pro versions will not work on apps you purchased through Mac AppStore, since they simply come without serial numbers. After you purchase app through AppStore, full version will be downloaded to your computer.

Limitations and System Requirements
Freeware version, of course, has no limitations, and Professional version will show you only the first 4 characters of each product key found, unless unlocked. Freeware version will work on Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard or later, Intel or PowerPC, and Professional version can even run on Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger or later, Intel or PowerPC.

Being a DJ is not all that its cracked up to be, since it is not all about pressing one magical button and music comes out. KeyFinder is a lightweight and intuitive application aimed at Disc Jockeys, as it can help you identify an audio file’s music key, which can be used in various harmonic and tonal mixing operations.

The benefits of a portable utility

The program is quite simple to work with, requiring only that you unzip the archive and run the EXE file that it contains, with no installation process being necessary. Thanks to its portability feature, KeyFinder can be placed on any USB or similar memory drive, allowing you to run on any computer you want, at home or at work, without having to sit through a lengthy installation operation. Moreover, this translates into no additional registry entries on the system you are using KeyFinder on, meaning you can simply remove it by deleting the containing folder.

Simple and detailed audio analysis

The application features a basic and far from impressive interface, but this makes it quite approachable for everyone, regardless of their level of experience in working with similar software. It supports drag and drop operations, so all you need to do is drop the audio files that you want to analyze onto the main window of KeyFinder, then press the ‘Run Batch Analysis’ button. The estimation will be displayed in the ‘Detected Key’ column, along with other ID tag information from your song.

Supported formats

KeyFinder also features a ‘Detailed Analysis’ function that allows you to get a visual representation of your song’s key in ‘Chromagram Colors’, which you can select from the dedicated menu, namely ‘Izo’, ‘Mono’, ‘Pred’, ‘VBoy’ and ‘Hack’. The utility supports several audio format, for instance MP3, M4A, MP4, WMA, FLAC, AIF, AIFF and WAV, while also providing support for ‘Custom Key Codes’. Optionally, KeyFinder allows you to adjust its functioning parameters. However, it is advisable that you only modify them if you know exactly what you are doing, otherwise you run the risk of affecting its accuracy.

All aspects considered, KeyFinder is a simple yet very efficient piece of software which aims to provide you with the ability to determine the correct music key for one or more songs simultaneously, in just a few moves.
