Because Perian is a plugin for your Quick Time player, it does not have its own multimedia playback interface. This includes very little tweaks, mostly focused on how audio codecs will be decoded on your Mac (which format, how to play Soft Sounds), enable or disable external subtitles, easy way check for updates (which can be even automatic) and uninstall the app with a single click of a mouse button.

Как он работает? выбираю файл ави или мкв нажимаю- Perian-открыть в QuickTime и ничего не открывается пишет нет кодека. Че за фигня.

+/- 1 отличная прога, но с ее помощью QTP не стал показывать файлы WMV
для полного комфорта пришлось ставить Flip4mac

Только после установки этих кодеков у меня Мак стал нормально показывать все фильмы, до этого отказывался, звук идет а видео не было. Респект программе!
