Installing the ASIO Driver for KOMPLETE AUDIO 1 / 2 / 6 MK2 (Windows)

This article explains how to install the ASIO driver for your KOMPLETE AUDIO 1 / 2 / 6 MK2 audio interface on Windows 10 systems.

Note: the KOMPLETE AUDIO 1 / 2 / 6 MK2 are ‘class-compliant’ on Mac computers. It is not necessary to install a driver on these systems.

1. Disconnect the KOMPLETE AUDIO device from your computer.
2. Navigate to our DRIVERS & OTHER FILES downloads page.
3. Locate the Komplete Audio 1 & 2 Driver or the Komplete Audio 6 MK2 Driver in the list and click on the link to download it. In our example, we are showing the Komplete Audio 1 & 2 Driver:
   
4. Navigate to your downloads folder and double-click the downloaded zip file to open it:
   
5. Double click the setup.exe file and follow the onscreen prompts to complete the installation.
   
6. Once complete, connect your KOMPLETE AUDIO device to your computer. You will now be able to choose the Komplete Audio ASIO Driver in your DAW.

STEP 1: DOWNLOAD, INSTALL, AND RUN NATIVE ACCESS

• If you already have Native Access, just start the application.
• You’ll be asked to log in with your NI account. If you don’t have one, you can create one within the app.
• Please pay particular attention to the ‘Installation Preferences’ – see below for details.

STEP 2: ENTER SERIAL NUMBER

Select ‘Add serial’, and enter your KOMPLETE AUDIO 6 serial number as shown on the flyer in your product box or on the underside of your hardware unit.

Please note: It may take several minutes before your software is ready to be installed. Check availability with the refresh button.

STEP 3: INSTALL SOFTWARE

STEP 4: DOWNLOAD CUBASE LE

Click the link below and follow the directions on the Steinberg website to get your free copy of Cubase LE.

Use the download access code included on the flyer inside your product box on the Steinberg website to get your Cubase LE download and serial number.

IMPORTANT: When you run Native Access for the first time, you’ll be asked to ‘select a target folder’. Native Access will install all product content, such as sample libraries, into this target folder. Sample content in particular takes up a lot of space, so you may want to install everything to a dedicated hard drive.

IMPORTANT: On Windows computers, you need to point Native Access to your preferred VST plug-in folder. Once selected, all Native Instruments VST plug-ins will be installed into this folder.

Установка драйвера для USB аудио интерфейса NI Komplete Audio 6.

Отличный девайс, но при установке драйверов в Windows возникли проблемы. в прочем как обычно.

Чтобы все работало нужно делать следующее:
1. Установить драйвер Komplete Audio 6 Driver 3.1.0 — Windows (можно с диска, можно загрузить на оф. сайте);
2. Подключить устройство. возможно повезет, а возможно в диспетчере увидим следующее:

5. Система благополучно находит драйвер и все начинает работать.

При этом на моей системе драйвера KA6 конфликтуют с WiFi адаптером, поэтому последний нужно отключать, иначе при записи и воспроизведении начинаются дикие тормоза xrun’ы и прочее. в плоть до полного отключения звуковой карты до следующей перезагрузки системы. Также на форуме тех поддержки NI рекомендуют использовать хорошие USB шнуры, и даже USB хабы с внешним питанием. В моем случае KA6 работает в паре с ноутбуком, соединенная родным шнуром без дополнительного питания и от штатных USB разъемов.

Под ALSA полностью поддерживает этот девайс, поэтому в Linux все работает без танцев с бубном.
