Krita (Крита) – бесплатное программное обеспечение для работы с растровыми графическими изображениями. Раньше приложение было частью офисной программы Calligra Suite, но позже развилось в самостоятельную программу – полноценный редактор растровой графики. Программа выпускается в двух отдельных пакетах – под 32-х разрядную версию системы и под 64-х разрядную. Кроме этого, официально выпускается портабельная версия приложения, также разделенная по разрядности системы.

Функционал Krita

Главной особенностью программы разработчики называют ее заточенность под рисование с нуля. Однако, несмотря на это, утилита может успешно использоваться и фотографами. Для это в Krita имеется целый ряд инструментов. Краткий перечень возможностей программы выглядит так:

• Имитация работы по холсту;
• Ретуширование, наложение масок и корректирующих слоев;
• Имитация реальной бумаги и пастели;
• Возможность написать полноценную художественную картину, используя лишь функционал приложения;
• Встроенные фильтры для коррекции изображений;
• Возможность импорта в RAW;
• Приложение эмулирует реальные инструменты для создания картин – холсты и кисти.

Кроме этого, программа может работать с проектами, начатыми в Photoshop, полноценно поддерживая даже многослойные *PSD-файлы. Встроенные эффекты позволяют зеркалить изображения, вставлять или удалять выделенные элементы с готовых полотен или фотографий.

Так как Krita ориентирована на художников, то реализация инструментов для рисования выполнена на высоком уровне. Инструментарий представлен различными видами кистей, позволяющими выполнять смешивание, работать с эффектами и фильтрами. Есть кисти-спреи и кисти для заливки.

Интерфейс программы прост в освоении и напоминает всем известный Photoshop. Способствуют этому серая тема оформления и расположение панелей с инструментами по краям основного рабочего окна.

Первая версия программы была выпущена в 2005 году, а последняя, с индексом 3.3.2, в 2017 году. Интерфейс Krita поддерживает русский язык.

Как работать в программе?

1. Нажать кнопку «Создать новый документ» или выбрать соответствующую команду из меню «Файл».
2. Выбрать тип создаваемого документа (пользовательский, анимация, дизайн, комиксы и др.)
3. Набор базовых инструментов находится в левой части экрана (рисование, кривые, фигуры, привязки, заливка, выделение и т.д.).
4. Цвет можно выбрать в правой верхней части окна.
5. Чуть ниже палитры расположен инструментарий для работы со слоями — здесь можно создать новый слой, нажав на кнопку «+», погасить какой-либо из уже существующих, нажав на символ глаза рядом с ним, переименовать слой, заблокировать и т.д.
6. В правой нижней части окна можно выбрать подходящие кисти, текстуры, штампы и т.д.

Достоинства и недостатки

Плюсы:

• универсальность — подходит как для рисования, так и для ретуши;
• обширный функционал, большой набор возможностей;
• интуитивно понятный и гибко настраиваемый интерфейс;
• поддержка планшетов, возможность назначить горячие клавиши;
• распространяется бесплатно.

Минусы:

• приложение русифицировано не полностью.

Krita 64-bit is a FREE digital painting and illustration application. Krita offers CMYK support, HDR painting, perspective grids, dockers, filters, painting assistants, and many other features you would expect. Krita is a FREE sketching and painting program. It was created with the following types of art in mind: concept art, texture or matte painting, illustrations, and comics.

Features and Highlights

Interface and Workspace
Krita has a user-friendly interface. In the settings menu, you can choose the color theme, which toolbars and dockers you want to use, and edit keyboard shortcuts. Save a given set of dockers as a workspace and switch between them. The canvas can be easily rotated and mirrored. The OpenGL canvas supports high-bit depth monitors. There is a large set of options available to create a no-distractions canvas-only painting mode.

Wrap-Around Mode
It is easy to create seamless textures and patterns now. Press the ‘W’ key while painting to toggle wrap-around mode. The image will make references for itself along the x and y-axis. Continue painting and watch all of the references update instantly. No more clunky offsetting to see how your image repeats itself. You can even paint off the edge and it will automatically start painting on the top. It is one of those features you have to see for yourself.

Multiple Brush Engines and Blending Modes
A brush engine is more than just a typical brush pattern with settings changed. Each brush engine has its own logic and behavior. The included engines are pixel, smudge, duplicate, filter, hairy, hatching, texture, chalk, color smudge, curve, deform, dyna, experiment (Alchemy), grid, particle, sketch, and spray brushes. Brush settings can be saved as presets and shared. There is a staggering amount of blending modes available. The blending modes are arranged by category and have your favorites stored at the top of the list.

Advanced Selection and Masking Tools
Krita 64-bit comes with many methods of selecting parts of your canvas in order to edit them. You can select with shapes such as rectangles and circle, paint your selection, polgon selection, select by color, select by Bezier. You can add, remove, or intersect to your selection. You can also make a selection by layer contents by context clicking the layer and clicking “select opaque”. You can create a transparency layer by itself, or add one to an existing layer. This is a great tool for non-destructive changes.

Symmetry Tools and Drawing Aids
Symmetry tools that go much further than basic mirroring. Take full control by being able to determine how many axis you need. Modify the origin center, angle, and smoothing parameters. Easy to toggle x and y mirror buttons in the top toolbar. Drawing aids such as perspective grids and shapes that have magnetic settings.

Filters and Effects
Filters can be used directly on a layer, or as filter masks or layers. The effect of a filter is previewed on the image itself. There are special effects like waves, oil paint, and emboss. Adjustments such as levels, brightness/contrast, and HSV are also included. Additional tools that can be useful for making selections like color to alpha and color transfer.

Layer and Color Management
Krita has raster, vector, filter, programmatic, group, and file-backed layers. Each layer has settings for visibility, edit lock, transparency lock, and alpha locking. Layers can be dragged and dropped to and from other applications. Vector layers support text, vector shapes, and filters on vector shapes. Krita supports the following color models for creating and editing images: RGBA, Gray, CMYKA, Lab, YCbCr, XYZ in 8 bits integer, 16 bits integer, 16 bits floating point, 32 bits floating point. Krita always uses color management.

Krita 4.3.0 Released

Three months after the release of Krita 4.2.9, we’ve got a major new feature release for you: Krita 4.3.0! We’ve spent the past year not just fixing bugs, even though we fixed over a thousand issues, but have also been busy adding cool new stuff to play with.

There’s a whole new set of brush presets that evoke watercolor painting. There’s a color mode in the gradient map filter and a brand new palettize filter and a high pass filter. The scripting API has been extended. It’s now possible to adjust the opacity and lightness on colored brush tips separately. You can now create animated brush tips that select brush along multiple dimensions. We’ve made it possible to put the canvas area in a window of its own, so on a multi monitor setup, you can have all the controls on one monitor, and your images on the other. The color selector has had a big update. There’s a new snapshot docker that stores states of your image, and you can switch between those. There’s a brand new magnetic selection tool. Gradients can now be painting as spirals.

If you’re using the portable zip files, just open the zip file in Explorer and drag the folder somewhere convenient, then double-click on the krita icon in the folder. This will not impact an installed version of Krita, though it will share your settings and custom resources with your regular installed version of Krita. For reporting crashes, also get the debug symbols folder.

Note: the gmic-qt is not available on OSX.

Android/ChromeOS Beta

This time, the Android releases are made from the release tarball, so there are translations. Despite being create from the stable 4.3.0 release, we consider Krita on ChromeOS and Android still beta. There are many things that don’t work and other things that are impossible without a real keyboard.

It is still not recommended to use these betas on phones, though they do install. This beta will also be available in the Google Play Store.
